Dear Fwiends

If you didn't know this already, I am going to Africa to study for 3 months.  I leave August 26th and I get back on December 13th. 

The album (tentatively titled Where With All) should be wrapping up in the months that follow my return to the states.  I think the plan is to play zero to very few shows until it is complete.

We'll be recording with local bad-ass LKN (check her the fuck out if you haven't yet- she also appears in Canyons and Palo Verde) next week Wednesday alldayallday.

So.  Should have some nicer-sounding, quality, recordings up in the near future.  And thanks to Ben, Justin, Lauren, and possibly our new friend Gerald, I won't be playing all the parts myself! 

Which is good, because a djembe, a tambourine, and a crappy flute for a drumstick is not a drum kit.  That's like saying tights are pants.  And they are not.

y'll should check out the pigeons myspace because we just posted the four songs we recently recorded with the fabulous Mike Coykendall- one of which is My, My, My.  There is also a new instrumental song called "It Snowed Today" up there. 

ALSO.  tonight at 8 pm, either "Valiants..." or "It Snowed Today" will be played on 94.7.  or so they tell me.  so that's random.
