Well, we've been flat out in the past 2 months prepping for the week ahead of us.
We've had some pretty awesome gigs leading up to here too. On Wednesday the 14th we're going back into Studio 203 with Andrew Buckton to record And Again & Big Fuzz.

With all our 4 tracks polish by the Buckton, we'll be ready to get ready for an E.P release partay! woo! Stay tuned for more info on that.


On another note, as of the 7th October Mtv42Unheard announced their top 20 finalists for the next phase of competition.
WE MADE THE CUT!!!

Mile High - "Now"

Hey all,

We've been pretty slack this last month. We've been receiving a decent amount of airplay on The Rock FM but haven't had any shows to back this up and for that we apologise. However this is all changing over the next 2-3 weeks. With the post-production of our video starting to wind up and our drummer on his way back from Tunisia we're going back into gig mode to play some shows for you all.

The first show is a warm up @ The Kings Arms on the 22nd. We will be playing a short set and all funds raised from this show are to help a guy get a Kidney transplant he so desperately needs. We're really honoured to have been asked to help this guy out by playing at this show and it would be awesome to see you all there.

The big show however is on the 8th August @ The Dogs Bollix. This will be our "Now" video release party. We have a couple of big suprises in our video we think you all might enjoy so please come along to this one! There'll be another couple of kick ass bands on the bill and it should be a good night! We will be keeping you in the loop with all the developments on this one. This is definitely a show you don't want to miss!

Hokay... 

So as some of your may have noticed, things have been happening for Mile High.

We finished recording our single "Now" which has virally made itself stuck into peoples heads. We've just sent out press kits to radio stations and musically influencial people. So hopefully within the next few weeks you might be hearing our tunes on the radio :)

On May 21st we also were lucky enough to get onto TV3's Sunrise show, and perform a couple of songs. We had great feedback and it gave us that push to get into newer avenues.

We are currently on a couple of projects. 

One being the on going task of writing new material.

The other is the organising and filming of our music video for "Now" We have some exciting plans for this, and look forward to the final product.

In the end of the day, we are doing all this for you, our fans.

We can't stop thanking you for all the support, by listening in & coming to our shows.

So update time!

After spending 6 weeks in pre-production we just spent the last 3 days recording the two songs we'd chosen with Andrew Buckton at Studio 203. Andrew did an amazing job and we're all really stoked with the outcome. We're waiting to get the mastered versions back but once we have them you'll be able to listen to them here on myspace. The tracks are called Now and Kansas.

We're also going to be shooting a video for Now in the coming weeks so keep checking our myspace for more info about that.

Other than that we've got a couple of gigs in the pipeline so come check us out.

In the last week we have been in the rehearsal rooms for about 20 hours rehearsing the same 2 fucking songs. This is while all of us are keeping down full time jobs and keeping our wives, girlfriends and fuck buddies happy. But tomorrow we fuck it all and go to the studios and record these tracks that have become a part of who we are. Is it normal to dream songs? Is it normal to go off on a tangent and start singing about sesame street who our underpriveleged bassist never got to see because of the few immoral and misguided idiots who ran their country? Is it normal to sit up on myspace ranting because they are so dam excited that a final product is coming - not a half arse could be version but a fully produced and mastered radio quality recording that gives them a small chance of reaching more than their friends and those too polite not too shun them straight out?

Anyway, enough is enough. Regardless of what happens with the recordings we are about to blow off some steam in the next month or so with some live shows and new songs. Keep an eye out for the name mile high on the streets of Auckland and if you get the chance come down, have a beer with us and listen to some good music!

So after two awesome gigs on Friday we're finally settling down into pre-production to record our single "Now" with Andrew Buckton (The D4, Sommerset, Midnight Youth) in April.

We do however have one more show lined up, that's next Sunday at The Crib in Ponsonby. We need a good turnout as it's a battle of the bands type gig and the criteria for these competitions seem to be largely based on how many friends your band has. So yeah if you want to come check us out it's only $5 and I think there's drink specials :)

Anyways keep an eye out for some more demo's coming online over the next couple of weeks. Our good friends Hayden, Ben and Ryan recorded some awesome sounding tracks for us @ SAE. Once we've got them you'll be able to hear them

Also big cheers to all the bands and peeps that made the trek out to The London Shed on Friday. I had a wicked night and I hope you all did too!

Hey All,

So the wheels are back in motion with the band and we've got some exciting things coming up. Firstly we're finally preparing to go into the studio and record a couple of tracks. We're all really excited about it and hopefully the result will be amazing. Secondly we've got a couple of good gigs coming up. First one is this Saturday @ the QF Tavern on Queen St. If  you know the QF then you'll agree this has the potential to be a pretty hilariously fun gig. Then on the 27th March we're playing @ The London Shed. We're also booked into play in the battle of the bands on the 5th of April (I think).
