Blurb:

An interfering ghost, a nosy mind-reading grandmother, a psychic man-hating mother, and a spell gone wrong are only a few dilemmas Sofia Good has to deal with in order to find love. It’s not easy having control of your own destiny when you can’t even remember what you put on that morning, even worse when you’re given a “gift” of precognition to save people’s lives, and you have no clue how to use it.

Grayson Phillips lost his brother in a senseless accident, and now he’s trying to gain back control by maintaining a safe and uneventful ‘life plan.’ But after sexy, quirky Sofia crash lands into his world he’s forced to rethink his strategy.

When Sofia’s grandmother casts a love spell, it successfully maneuvers Sofia and Grayson into her home in secluded Amish country. Time will tell if the love spell helps or destroys Sofia’s only chance at love.

I love romances that spill over with emotion. Passion that leaves me breathless. Conflict that has me biting my fingernails. And a plot that keeps me turning the pages. But the one ingredient I simply can't do without is humor. I try to infuse it in my writing with dialogue and actions, and I find it thrilling to be able to pick up a book and know it's going to make me smile or laugh out loud.

And since humor and romance is so important to me in a story, you can probably guess what movies I like. That's right, romantic comedies. I'm guaranteed to laugh and get the happy ending I crave. So in honor of this genre, here's my list of top ten romantic comedies:

1. Sweet Home Alabama – Reese Witherspoon and Josh Lucas. If you haven't seen this movie, you must drop all your plans for the day, rent or buy it, and sit your butt in a chair and watch it. It's that good!

Favorite quote: "Honey, just cuz I talk slow doesn't mean I'm stupid."

2. PS, I Love You – Hillary Swank, Gerald Butler, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Harry Connick Jr. Need I say more?

Favorite quote:
Holly - "No, it's not gonna work. I feel like I'm trying on a new pair of shoes I really wanna buy, but they just don't fit. Sorry."
William – "Alright then, how about going barefoot for a while?"

3. Love Actually – Several stories of love, loss, crushes, and just plain comedy.

Favorite quote: "But for now, let me say… Without hope or agenda… Just because it's Christmas… And at Christmas you tell the truth… To me, you are perfect… And my wasted heart will love you… Until you look like this…"

4. 50 First Dates – Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler (who is cute even though his head is egg-shaped)

Favorite quote: "All that flirting and phony 'I can't read' stuff, and you're not gonna ask me out or for my phone number?"

5. Sixteen Candles – One of my Brat Pack faves with Molly Ringwald and Michael Schoeffling

Favorite quote: "My brother just paid a buck to see your underwear."

6. How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days – A favorite from the Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson team

Favorite quote: "If you are gonna name my... member, you have to name it something hyper masculine. Something like Spike, or Butch, or Krull the Warrior King."

7. When Harry Met Sally – A classic with Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal.

Favorite quote: "I'll have what she's having."

8. 13 Going On 30 – Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo

Favorite quote: "That's because I have these incredible boobs to fill it out!"

9. Definitely Maybe – Ryan Reynolds, Abigail Breslin, and if I tell you I give away a spoiler.

Favorite quote:
Maya Hayes – "What's a threesome?"
Will Hayes – "It's a game, that adults play sometimes... When they're bored."

10. Pretty in Pink – Molly Ringwald, Andrew McCarthy, and Jon Cryer

Favorite quote: "You said you couldn't be with someone who didn't believe in you. Well I believed in you. I just didn't believe in me. I love you... always."

--Now, I'd love to know some of your favorite romantic comedies or movie quotes! So go ahead, humor me.
