We've been recording this past weekend at the excellent Soup Studios, with Simon Trought. It's been really productive. We nailed 7 songs and they're sounding pretty great. We've still got a trumpet to record, and to try to get keyboard Tom to appear out of obscurity to record parts.
The songs are:
Vice Photography Press Pass
Don't Be A Stranger
Cheese And Chips
Sometimes It's Good To Be Opposites, Sometimes
Donna Tartt Summer
Treadmill
Lonesome Polecat

If you have the free live album, still available via the link on our myspace, you'll have heard maybe four of these songs in a reasonable capacity, though these recordings are waaaay better.

More news when there is some.

In April we played at the ICA for a series of acoustic gigs they were putting on, called Quiet Nights. They recorded it, and you can get the mp3 for free here:

So thats kindof our second live album this year, which isnt bad going. Our "Live at the Betsey Trotwood" set can still be downloaded for free here:

Also, we are playing Kent Face Festival on the 8th of August. Its the festival you will grow to love. It's in Grafty Green Village Hall, near Lenham, and if you live in London you can get there by train from Victoria. More details here:

What a great day we all just had. We recorded four songs for our radio 1 session in a very short amount of time. We were given 12 hours but we managed to have everything done in about 5-6. The songs we recorded are: Emily Scott, My Chemical Romance, Bethany I Concur, and Oskar Kokoschka. I think you can hear in the recordings how excited we were to be doing it and how much fun we were having! Adey and Duncan did the interview as i had to stay behind to sort out the funny noise my distortion pedal was making early on, so i'm sort of looking forward to hearing what they actually said. So thanks go out to the wonderful engineers and all who made this happen. We'll let you all know when the session will be airred.
