I have been writing, producing, and performing hip hop/rap music here in Utah for the past 12 years. Over the years, I have seen many locals, wack, good, great, and exceptional. I have seen alot of great talent come and go. But, there are ALOT of us still out here riding hard and grinding strong. It's been very slow, but UTAH will rise out of this, "Utahs best kept secret" status.
    If you haven't heard any or have only heard a few of us, you are really missing out on some of the best music of our genres you have ever heard.  Most of my top 40 friends on my Virtue Management USA (myspace.com/virtuethereala) page are part of this great Utah movement.  You can also click on the "music" icon at the top of the myspace page, then go to "top artists". Choose Utah from the list and choose hip hop and/or rap for the genre and check out our top 100.
    Hip hop and rap are not the only genres of music, nor even genres of entertainment that have been slept on and/or under rated.  Utah has a huge abundance of great entertainers all the way across the table. If you don't believe me, check for yourself. I wouldn't be out here still and for so long if I didn't have a strong confidence for our local scene.

Virtue Biography


Virtue is an aspiring hip hop artist hailing from Salt Lake City, UT. As a child he grew up listening to his favorite music groups and artists hoping that one day, he too could write and perform songs that would be worthy of album sales and radio play. Virtue, also known as Skynny G, has been working non-stop for the past 12 years to learn and experience what it takes to be the music professional he is today.

Virtue has been blazing trails all over Utah, performing with other artists such as, Tech N9NE, Public Enemy, Jedi Mind Tricks, Grayskul, Sean Price, Kaotic, Sick Lake, Mak Demon, and many others. Some of the venues he has performed at include, The Great Saltair, Club Suede, Multicultural tent at 2002 Winter Olympics, Urban Lounge, South Shore Sports Bar & Grill, The Hotel, Liquid Joes, Mo's Neighborhood Grill, Mixed Emotions, and many others.

At this time Virtue is self managed while he grows and learns the ins and outs of the music industry. He also manages his own marketing and promotions, getting out with his street team constantly, sporting Virtue apparel and passing out thousands of flyers weekly throughout the state, promoting his name and events as well as other artists.

Currently, Virtue is recording his first major production and LP titled, "Lake Of Fire". Some of the songs he performs are featured on this album. "Lake Of Fire is scheduled for release in early March of 2008. From the feedback we have been receiving, this could very well be the most anticipated local Utah album ever.
