If you didn't already know about the remixes, here is a bit of a press release: From the bright city lights of Toronto, Canada hails a fresh upcoming singer/songwriter called Shobha. Her soothing tones, reflective lyrics and fluid melodies caught the attention of UK label Soul-Fi resulting in a brand new release for the label titled ‘Letter To A Friend’. The haunting ‘Letter To A Friend’ is not your typical break up song, but one about saying goodbye because you have to, inspired by true events. Married with strong emotional lyrics this package comes with a selection of exciting dancefloor flavours with classy soulful house remixes from Richard Earnshaw and Funk Balls, blissed out sunkissed remixes from Soul-Fi and a peak time prog-tinged floor stormer from Essex ‘s upcoming talent, Newtrix.

'Hailing from the city of Toronto, Canada, up and coming singer/songwriter Shobha (which means grave in her native Indian) has already seem some success back at home. With her cross of pop, urban and ska, her debut single won her several awards there, but it also caught some attention this side of the pond. It wasn't long for UK's Soul-Fi Records to get on board, with a string of remixes in tow. The ever impressive Richard Earnshaw rocks it out a soulful house tip with some tasty trademark keys that carries the vocal perfectly, Funk Balls polish the disco ball and gives it slight glittering disco house edge, whilst Newtrix takes the notes to more proggy terrain.
