Hello All, So as the end of 2008 approaches, I hope you all have had a year filled with blessings, joy, and success. Of course, the reality of the situation is that you probably have also had disappointments, frustrations, and losses. Such is the nature of being human. I have yet to meet a person who has had a perfect life. So as 2009 is right around the corner, you are probably making your New Year's Resolutions. Personally, I always like the following resolutions: eat right (otherwise known as "lose weight"), exercise more, play more, be kind, generous, and loving. Of course, I try to also include something about becoming more spiritually in tune and aware. That is, I believe a life long goal. I don't need to resolve to work harder, because I already do that! Getting on with the topic of this post "New Year = New Opportunities" in both MLM and GPT marketing. Let me back up a bit, a year ago I was just getting started in network marketing. I have always considered myself to be fairly intelligent and a quick learner, but I quickly learned that I didn't know jack sh.t about becoming an online entrepreneur. Naivete can be a good thing. Had I known then what I know now, I might have quit before I started. I think that's the thing with all of these internet MLM and GPT propositions. Get 'em hooked, and then once they're in, then let them find out how much they need to learn!!! At least that is my perspective - as I have certainly been hooked on a few occasions. Let me say though, that in most instances I have been glad to have experienced and learned all that I have. There are some great coaches, mentors, and teachers in this business. Some charging huge fees, some charging no fee at all. In all cases, it is up to YOU to make the difference. To take in the information and do something with it. So, back to the new opportunities. I'm not going to tell you what to go for, or what to ignore. I will tell you though that if it sounds too good to be true - IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. At least on the surface. All of this takes work, motivation, inspiration, focus, organization, and dedication. Don't come into this business thinking that you are going to make a million over night. It just ain't so!!! Do your research. If you are on a set course, follow it, stick with it. Don't get bogged down by the newest great marketing system or the best company with an incredible compensation plan. They are all great and incredible!!! Well, a lot of them are. You can judge that for yourself. So enough already… Please check out my website below, and write a comment after you've read this post. Peace and Prosperity to YOU, Kris http://getpaidtodaymarketing.com

Hello All, I continue to be amazed at all there is to know about marketing. There are so many aspects to this business that you really need to understand to be successful. Things like list building, contacting leads, following through with prospects, tracking your campaigns, learning about different websites that can be of use. Today I'm going to talk a bit about those websites. Did you know that if you use Alexa.com you can narrow down your marketing efforts and be more specific about targeting those people whom you are trying to market to? It's free, and pretty easy to use. Do you have any idea how many social marketing websites there are? I would guess there are hundreds, perhaps thousands. All different little niches you could market to. And…, there are more and more of these sites being developed everyday. The possibilities seem endless. And of course, as I'm sure you already know, there are the marketing companies whose sole purpose is to market your business, or help you learn how to market your business yourself. Those sites usually come with a monthly or yearly fee. So it is good to do as much research as you can before jumping on every bandwagon. Make sure you understand how it works, and what exactly it will do for you. Just because they may say that you can make hundreds or thousands of dollars your first month - it ain't necessarily so! And BUYER BEWARE - it probably won't be so. So do your due diligence. Do you want free or are you willing to pay? How difficult is the site to use? Do they give logical explanations on how to get around their sites, or how to use the back office? Do they offer good training on how to use their particular system? Find out from other network marketers what they like or don't like. Make informed choices. For more information on what I like, go to my link below. Hello All, I know you all have been waiting with baited breath for my newest blog post - wait no more - it has arrived.
I've been doing some thinking recently (well actually I think all the friggin time, it's an obsession of mine). Anyway, through my long, or not so long, depending on your point of view, work in internet marketing, I have learned several things. The following tips are just a few. - Be prepared for the long haul. Your riches and rewards and the life you desire await you, but it will not happen overnight, you need to stick with it, and…
- Be willing to put in the time and energy to learn what you need to learn to be successful.
- FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS!!! It is way too easy to get distracted by all the latest and greatest products out there, not to mention all the e-mails, websites, and other time-wasting activities you can do on the internet. I KNOW you know what I'm talking about!
- Take Action. This is a hard one for many people. You perfectionists out there - stop perfecting, and just do. Most people learn more from their mistakes anyway! If it doesn't work, then don't do it again - but you'll never know if you don't put it into action.
- Get on calls and webinars with the experts. They are the ones making the big bucks, and believe me, they are making those bucks for a reason. They know what they are doing!
- Whenever you can, Attend Live Events. That's where you will meet these experts, other marketers, and your creative juices will begin to flow. You'll also be amazed at the friendships you'll develop.
- Accept the fact that you will at times be discouraged, frustrated, want to quit, wonder what the heck you are doing, and get tired of having your friends and family give you strange looks when you tell them about your entrepreneurial activities!
- Finally, always keep in mind if you really want it, you can achieve it! This isn't exactly rocket science, open heart surgery, or foreign diplomacy we're talking about here.
- And remember, all the big earners and gurus started out just where you are today!!!
So with those tips, I hope you are a little more aware of what it takes to be successful in this business. It's important to keep a sense of humor about you - swearing at the computer when it does something you didn't want it to do is a good way to relieve the stress. (Cover up the kids ears if necessary first!) And I mean really swear - exaggerated to the nth degree. It teaches us to lighten up a bit. Life is too short to take ourselves so seriously all the time. Patience is a wonderful character trait to possess - keep that in mind in your journey to success. To Your Peace and Prosperity - Kris

The news of the world is not exactly uplifting these days. Global warming. War and military conflict across the globe. The economy failing. People losing their homes, their jobs, their hard earned savings. Not knowing where to turn, or what the next potential loss may be. In this type of environment, people are fearful. What do I need to do to make sure I maintain financial stability? How can my house have lost this much value in so little time? I wanted to be able to pay for my kids' college educations, now I'm not sure I can even pay the mortgage. When is this financial downturn going to end? When people don't have much control over their lives, they tend to get very anxious, and do what ever they can to reduce their anxiety. Some methods are much more useful and healthy than others. Some of the unhealthier, less beneficial methods are drinking or using drugs. Gambling to try to recoup lost wages, when in fact they'll probably lose even more money. Ignoring the situation. Losing, hope, motivation, and desire. These are not helpful responses. One method I have used with my clients over the years is to ask - What's the worst that can happen? Well, if taken to its' extreme, a lot of bad can happen. Lose your house, car, job, family, even your life. But the reality of the situation is usually not that dire. You could lose your job, or get laid off. That has certainly happened a lot here in Michigan over the past few years, even in my own family. Yes, that's distressing. I wondered how we were going to pay our bills. But you know what? We managed. We reduced some of our expenditures, managed our budget more closely, and eventually found new jobs. Did we lose our house? No. Our cars, our furniture, our friends or family? No. Was it a blow to our self-esteem? Most definitely. Did we come out better on the other side? Most definitely. What we learned is that there is light at the end of the tunnel. We also learned that good things can come out of bad experiences. My partner got a new job, and finally was rid of a job that she had hated for the past few years. I didn't lose my job, but I did see that there had to be another way to ensure for our future, so I took a gigantic risk (for me). I started my own business. Now I am in control of my life and my livelihood. Will there be bad times in the future? Undoubtedly. Am I going to let those down times control my life? No friggin way. So my advice it to keep aware of what is happening. Look for options to gain additional income. When you let fear rule your life, you live with anxiety, panic, and an attitude of "no matter what I do, it doesn't help, work, or turn out right". Such negativity only feeds the fear. Take control. Can you control everything in your life? No way. Can you be proactive and make choices that will reduce your anxiety? Of course. But it takes thinking a different way. Look at your successes and your strengths. Use them. Learn from them. Understand that you are capable of change, and that perhaps change is a good thing. I didn't think I could be an entrepreneur, at first. But I looked at my strengths - gainfully employed for many years, adaptable to change, hard worker, educated, intelligent, creative, able and willing to learn new things, and most importantly willing to step out of my comfort zone. Willing to look outside of my self-made box. Willing to take a chance. What did I need most to make these changes? A strong belief in myself, and the knowledge that I deserved everything that life has to offer. Staying stuck in the mindset of "well this is where I belong. I don't have what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. Wealth is only for those who want to work 15 hr days, or for those who have good connections, or for those who were born to it." As they say in many mental health settings - this is "stinkin thinkin". It is defeatist. Shoots you down before you even begin. Helpful - not at all. I know that it was only after I started to believe in my strengths and embrace those strengths that I knew that I was just as capable and fortunate as the next person. I made a change - and have found success, new friendships, new possibilities, and a new mindset in the process. I took control over those aspects of my life which I have control over. I invite you to join me. Check out my website at www.wealthandhealthforyou.com, or visit my youtube or myspace pages ( www.myspace.com/wealthandhealthforyou.com and www.youtube.com/kbadra). You too can achieve the success and freedom from worry that you desire. You just have to believe in yourself.

Current mood: blissful
I recently went to the northwestern part of Michigan that is still in the Lower Penisula and spent time at the Sleeping Bear. National Lakeshore that is. Beautiful huge dunes. Beautiful Lake Michigan. Native American legend about the tired bear and her cubs who swam across the lake and stopped to rest. Mama as the huge dune, and her cubs as North and South Manitou Islands.
Lovely, lovely place.
I left my computer at home.
So, I've been facing a bit of a dilemma lately. How do I spend my time this summer? Do I play, spend time in my gardens (lots of flowers to weed and dead head), go kayaking with friends, or do I develop my business? So little time, so much to do.
Obviously, last week I played. This week I'm working. But then I get myself into a predicament. How do I continue to create that which is good in my life, when I have other responsibilities, that may not be of my own choosing?
I make sacrifices. I move out of my comfort zone. Because the ultimate goal is to have the time in my life to do a job I love which is to show others how they can also live lives full of possibility and promise. Provided they are willing to put in the effort, and be willing to stretch themselves.
My business www.wealthandhealthforyou.com is about being successful. It's about creating the life of your dreams. It's about providing that kind of life for others who are dreaming of such a life. It's about empowering myself and others to reach outside of our comfort zones, and pursue all of the possibilities that life has to offer.
I hope you've enjoyed this, my initial blog. There will be more.
