In only seven more days we will officially know who the big winner is...what an exciting feeling! It's much quieter back here tonight. There are only four contestants left this week and as usual the boys are out and about early since the girls take a little more time getting ready before the show. The boys are smelling nice as usual...and I'm sure the girls are too of course. Like I said, it's much quieter than it was, say 4 weeks ago when there were about 10 contestants running around the place.
Coffey is sitting with the CMT correspondant and just stuck the mic in my face to say a little hello. I feel so "famous." LOL! Listening to the interviews each week really brings a new side to the contestants that you don't really get to see on TV. Here are just a few tidbits that I overheard during interviews tonight.
"Vote for Gabe! You spell Gabe 'C-O-F-F-E-Y!'" - Coffey
Coffey says that people see him in person and obviously want to say hi, but don't want to bother him. People - if you see Coffey in the airport, mall or any other public place, he urges you to come up and say, "Hello!"
Coffey wear girl jeans -- and he looks good in them, doesn't he ladies?
Gabe has a strong attachment to his baseball caps. He says that he wears them until they unravel. One time, when he was swimming in the ocean, he lost one of his caps and the next morning his parents went walking along the shore in case it washed up during the night.
In high school, Gabe was voted prom king!
Ok, enough gossip for now...I'll fill you in on the girls if they ever get out of makeup and interviews and come hang out in the green room. It takes a lot of time to look as beautiful as Miss Shawn Mayer and Mrs. Melissa Lawson, let me tell you!
Tune in tonight! TONIGHT YOUR VOTE WILL DETERMINE YOUR NEXT NASHVILLE STAR!!!!!!!!!!

Another Monday...another amazing night of my life! Here I am once again on the set of Nashville Star watching all of the crazy behind-the-scenes action unfold as the contestants get ready to take the stage! There sure are a few less contestants running around backstage than there were just a few weeks ago, but it seems as if more people find their way back here each week. There are always a few kids running around meeting their favorite Star contestant. The contestants are always so inviting when one of their admirers makes their way back here. Everyone left in this competition really wants to win and you can just feel it. They are all so happy to be here and so ready for what is yet to come in their careers.
Shawn, Ashley and Melissa just sat down for a few radio interviews and I can hear Coffey and Gabe hangin' out in the back. There is this see-thru black curtain that separates the green room from the hallway that houses the contestant dressing rooms and it's always funny to hear what comes from behind that curtain. Each week, it's no surprise that Coffey will be in that hallway with his guitar playing one song after another inviting the other contestants to jam along with him as they pass by while working on getting themselves ready. Up until about two weeks ago, I always wondered what was going on behind that black curtain. If you look hard enough you can easily see through it, but it was nice just to listen to everyone warming up and goofing around. I spend most of my time here in the green room sitting on a giant comfy tan couch which can easily hold twenty people it's so large. It's usually pretty warm in here and not exaxtly the most the well-ventilated area in the theatre and I usually end up chugging down quite a few bottles of water before the show. I can usually handle that amount, but this particular week I just well, had to "go"! I nicely asked to be led to the nearest restroom facility, and lo and behold -- the black curtain was opened...I slipped in and was led to the men's dressing room. Now, at this point, right before the show began, there were a mix of men and women hanging out in this room, so I thought nothing of being led here to use the restroom. When walking in, I didn't know what to expect, but let me tell you, these clean cut NStar boys keep themselves, and their dressing room clean. It smelled like a bottle of cologne had exploded, but not a messy item was in sight. As soon as I got "situated" someone opened the door. A man walks in, sees my heels under the stall, and says "You're a girl!" I squeak out a, "Sorry," and hear him walk back into the dressing room telling everyone of my restroom "mistake." I quickly scurried to finish up and went to the sink where there was absolutely no soap, so I saw a bottle of hand sanitizer sticking out of someone's bag, so I snuck squirt and got out of there as soon as possible. Needless to say, I don't really wonder about what's behind that curtain anymore.
Well, the boys are out now. Coffey and Gabe are waiting to do interviews with CMT. Coffey just let everyone know that he is currently looking for a place in the Nashville area so he can stick around and continue to work on his career after Nashville Star. Gabe looks incredibly sharp tonight in a black blazer, something I don't believe that I have ever seen him in before. Apparantly it took a few tries to find him one that he liked, but I must admit, it looks great on him! Speaking of, Coffey definetley looks sharp tonight as well. Not to mention he just confessed his love for the Dallas Cowboys and I guess that automatically makes him my new favorite contestant! Ok, I know I can't be biased, and I can't exactly judge the contestants on their sports picks, but it's not something I'm going to forget. And well, this may sound a little girly, but umm...Gabe smells good tonight! I'd almost bet that he is the reason that the men's bathroom smells so good, but Coffey just sat down beside me and I'm thinking he may be guilty as well.
Everyone walks by asking if I am blogging about them, and I usually am. They all try to watch what they're saying around me back here, but they are all growing to trust me. It's getting down and I'm really missing some of the contestants. It's definetley getting down to the wire, but I'm so excited to see who's going to take home the Nashville Star title.
Oh, and did I mention that when I walked in tonight that the judges were rehearsing...no, not camera angles for once, but they were practicing their performance for tonight! Yes, all three judges are performing a medley of their own songs tonight and I got chills just listening to their rehearsal. Be sure to tune in tonight for another amazing night of Nashville Star!

Here we are again, another exciting night of Nashville Star! Like a clock, I was sitting down here on the big comfy couch in the green room and Gabe sits down beside me asking how I am. He's such a nice guy! Then, just as soon as I call out Gabe on his clockwork timing, Coffey shows up to say hello as well. They are always so nice and welcoming to me backstage.
During the competition the contestants have no access to their families (as you saw on last week's show), their phones or computers, so when I show up in the green room each week with a laptop and telephone they all flock over trying to sneak a peek at what all of you guys are saying about them online. Being someone who basically lives my life online, I have a ton of sympathy for them being so sequestered from the online world, and the entire outside world as well. I smelled the strong aroma of Italian food and turned around to see Shawn peeking over my shoulder with a small plate of pasta trying to catch a glimpse of the sacred internet world. She sat down and showed me the lucky guitar picks that she keeps in her leather bracelet. She pulled out a hot pink one and let me know that up until today it was her luckiest pick, but after a rough rehearsal she grabbed the new lucky green one, snuggled the pink back into her bracelet and is going on stage with it tonight!
Shawn went over to do a few radio and CMT interviews and Tommy plopped down on the couch with the widest, brightest smile across his face just so eager to take the stage tonight. He took a few secs to tell me just how great of a week it's been here on the star set and how great it was to see all of his friends and family last week. Tommy also gave a little shout out to all of your Nashville Star fans! Click here to check it out now!
Also, Coffey took a sec to give a shout out. Click here to view it now!
Laura and Ashley seem to be a bit nervous tonight, but wouldn't you be after the critiques that they got last week? They are biting their nails...not literally of course...waiting to find out if they are going home this evening. Later on Pearl Heart came out and did a few interviews and I got the scoop that they are all playing electric guitars together tonight for the first time ever. Also, Ashlee let me know that she was playing a white electric for her performance. NS is rockin' tonight people!!
The contestants were all in a great mood tonight before the show, as always, but seemed to be more excited than usual tonight as it is coming down to the wire. It occured to me tonight that there are so fewer people here than there were just a few weeks ago. It's getting sparse around here and after tonight there will be two less contestants on the stage.
Tune in tonight at 9/8c only on NBC to find out which of your NS finalists will be sticking around and who will be going home. Remember, America votes and your vote COUNTS!!

Hey guys!
How touching and amazing was it to see this week's family-themed episode? I swear, I cried about...how many contestants are there...yeah, nine times. I think the contentants really pushed through this week with their families in the audience to support them. Pearl Heart looked amazing and were dead on with their harmonies and Tommy really rocked out to Tiny Dancer!
My personal favorite performance of the night was Coffey singing "Hey, Good Lookin'" which I can remember running around the backyard singing as a child. The show was full of so many wonderful surprises yet it still had to come that time when someone went home. This week our beautiful red-headed songstress Miss Alyson Gilbert's Nashville Star journey came to an end. As sad as it is to see someone go each week, it's also pretty exciting to know that we are one step closer to the next Nashville Star!
Also, how much did you just love Blake Shelton's performance of his smash hit "Home"? I just love 'ol Blakey and thought that his performance was fantastic. Before the show he was hanging out with the contestants in the green room and I just wanted to scream I was so excited to see him! I can't wait to find out what surprises are in store for next week. You've spoken and we'll see what you decided next week. Remember, you vote America. The fate of the next Nashville Star is in your hands!
So, who do you guys think had the best style this week? I definetley vote Pearl Heart. Let me know who's duds you fancied by commenting below.
Also, remember to cast your vote at Nashville Star.com by clicking here now to let the America know who you think should be the next Nashville Star!

Hey NStar Fans!
So, it's Sunday. I spent the morning sleeping in because I know I always need more energy on Mondays than I used to now that I've been thrown into the world of Nashville Star each Monday night. I thought I'd prepare a little better this week so I'm not falling asleep on the car ride home Monday night after all is said and done.
It's Sunday afternoon now and the contestants are hard at work reahearsing for this week's show! It's so much colder in this theatre when it's empty than when hundreds of fans pack in for the taping each week. I kind of regret wearing flip flops.
This week on Nashville Star is "Family Night" when each contestant's family comes out to support them on the show. Some of the contestants haven't seen their family in weeks because they've been cooped up in the Opryland Hotel and one particular contestant hasn't seen their family in over a year! The reunion is quite tear-jerking. Also, another surprise...I don't even know if I'm supposed to tell you this, but might as well get you excited early, eh? So...here's the deal, each contestant performs not one, but TWO songs this week!! One song from your favorite contestant just wasn't enough for you? Well, I guess we've got a remedy!
Also, I don't think he's showing up today, but I'm surely sticking around until they kick me out in hopes of running into Mr Blake Shelton! He will be on the show tomorrow night to perform his smash hit "Home." I better keep my Blake Shelton fan club membership card at home before the crew finds out and keeps a close eye on me tomorrow night.
Remember to log onto NashvilleStar.com and Myspace.com/NashvilleStar between 6p - 8p CST Monday night for real time behind-the-scenes videos and pics and then tune in for "Family Night" at 9/8c only on NBC!

"My heart is damaged, so damaged..." Yes, Danity Kane is a group of hard working women! They have been rehearsing for quite awhile now...but the song doesn't stop...Shawn just walked by singing it again just as all of the other contestants have been doing over and over again this afternoon. The green room is clear for the first time in hours. It's so hectic backstage before the show. Five hours before the show begins it was already pandemonium on the set. Tonight's show is titled "Pop Goes Country" and boy oh boy am I excited! The show will be featuring pop stars Danity Kane of "Making the Band" fame as well as a fifty person choir. There are bright purple choir robes hung all over the theatre and the place is hoppin'!
I had a chance to talk with a few of the contestants tonight including Coffey, Gabe, Alyson and Ashlee. They are all so awesome and excited to be here each week. For all of you NashvilleStar.com fans out there I just wanted to let you know that Gabe is in fact from Lytle, TX and now resides in Nashville, TN contrary to what the site said before. We helped him get that information fixed. Sorry about that Gabe! He sat down tonight and let me know how much he loves living in "Music City" these days. When he was in Texas he used to fly out to Nashville every few weeks for songwriting sessions and it just made sense for him to finally make the big move and push forward full force.
Coffey sat down and talked to me about his ministries and outreach online. He acutally writes and sings praise and worship music and makes videos in both English, Spanish and another language I'm not recalling at the moment, and crosses these language barriers to share his faith.
Two hours til show time and everyone is getting prettied up. I haven't seen this many hair curlers since a pre-high school cheerleading competition. I'm sitting on a quite large and quite comfortable couch right now with Coffey, Sophie (of Laura & Sophie) and Courtney of Pearl Heart. They are all for their waiting dinner to arrive and Sophie is munching on some Milano cookies to tide her over. We are sitting in the green room watching a television that shows everything going on in the big room while the camera crew gets set up for the show. Right now the cameras are on the judges table. John, with a large cigar in his mouth, Jewel and Jeffrey have all shown up to set and are strumming their guitars as the crew checks camera angles and mics. Smells like dinner has arrived and I think I'm going to try and sneak a bite or two. Keep an eye on NashvilleStar.com and Myspace.com/NashvilleStar throughout the night for backstage picture and video content as well as my Twitter Tweets so you can know about everything going on behind-the-scenes during the show.
Also, stay tuned this week for new Myspace, Facebook, iLike and YouTube pages for all of your favorite Nashville Star contestants! During the week the contestants will be taking pictures, videos and blogging about their experience on the set during the week and all content will be available on their pages.
It's gonna be a sad night watching someone go home, but that's all up to you America. You vote! That's right...it's your vote that counts. So, when you're watching the show tonight remember that one vote can make a difference and do your part in helping "elect" the next Nashville Star!
Tune in tonight at 9/8c only on NBC!

Hey Nashville Star fans!
How excited are you guys about season 6 of Nashville Star?! I'm sure you all caught the amazing first episode last week and saw all of the amazing talent that will be on the show this season. After watching every one of the past five seasons, I'm telling you, I think this is going to be the best season yet!
First off, let me start by introducing myself. I'm just an ordinary girl living in this fabulous town we call Nashville, TN and have been given the amazing opportunity to come out to the Nashville Star set each week and well, hang out. After hearing what a huge fan I am of the show, the *big shots* at Nashville Star thought that I would be the perfect person to keep you guys up-to-date with everything going on each week including behind-the-scenes gossip, exclusive pictures, videos and any other little tidbits that I get to see each week from behind the big stage.
It's the second week of taping and my first visit to the set this season. I showed up and met up with the amazing Tanya, who set me up with my very own media pass and sat me up in the infamous green room. You know, you hear about these "green rooms" and guess what - the carpet is actually GREEN! It's also super hot in here. Note to self - no long sleeves next week.
There is an abundance of wonderful smelling gourmet catering behind me but I'm just too excited to even grab a bite.
WOW! I was just sitting here on this giant comfy couch when the band Third Town surrounded me...literally...one on each side and one kneeling in front of my laptop. I was completely...dare I say, "StarStruck!" They were so incredibly sweet and took the time to introduce themselves and actually ask how I was. They let me in on the song they will be singing tonight and though I can't tell you, I'll tell you it's one of my favorites that my parents used to play when I was...let's just say a little younger. Just as we got our conversation started they were wisked away and I was left with my lonely laptop. I was sitting here uploading a video from Little Tony of Third Town* when someone began to scoot closer to me on the couch. I looked up and...guess who it was...the one and only Mr.Tommy Stanley! He only had a few seconds to say hello, but let me know that he was so pumped about the show tonight the his excitement was doing a good job of overrunning any nerves. Finally Gabe sat down to say hello and wanted to send a shout out to all of you guys out there!
All of the contestants are having a pow wow right now and getting ready to go on...
Guys, it's gonna be quite a night! I am so excited to see all of the performances and of course the fabulous Trace Adkins! I just love his new song, "You're Gonna Miss This," and he's going to be performing it tonight on the show! Remember to tune in tonight at 9/8 central only on NBC!
Also, check back during the show for behind-the-scenes photos and videos and check back tomorrow for my blog about the actual show!
Thanks for reading! Nashville StarStruck
