Saturday September 19th, at The Shrine Auditorium, Insane Clown Posse played in Montana for the very first time! Second time seeing the Clowns!

Wes, Lafey, My brother, sister, and I took my Cadillac and left a half hour before the show started. Not going to lie, Wes and I were painted up as Twiztid and Lafey painted up as ICP. The reaction of other drivers as we passed them were priceless as they saw our painted faces lmao!

Local horrorcore artist Killa C opened the show, but sad to say was very boring in my opinion. Still have to give him props for being signed to Tech n9ne's Strange Music and performing live.

Flint Michigan's The Dayton Family tore it up!!! Very raw and epic! The crowd reaction was very strong and seemed to love every second of it. It was very cool seeing a group from my city where I was born and raised the first 12 years of my life.

California's Punk rockers Hed P.E. came up next. (Last time I saw them was with The Kottonmouth Kings.) Of course the whole floor morphed into an entire Mosh pit. Believe or not my sister Chelsea even jumped in the pit lol Lafey pushed his way to the front, I lost track of Wes and Caleb and me, I ended up slipping on the floor and getting my legs stepped on. There still bruised, some huge guy picked me up off the Floor. Hed P.E. covered Sublime again and of course Vocalist Jahred joked a lot on stage and ripped on the Emo culture again. The pits were very interesting, because when the slow reggae style part kicked in people were all dancing and jumping a long, then when the thrash/punk part kicked in, everyone stopped dancing and started pushing and shoving! They ended the night with the song "Renegade" causing the biggest pit of the entire concert.

Before this show I hadn't drank any Faygo in over a year. Tons more Faygo last time around at this show and more Faygo brakes! The Michigan crew definitely fought to grab the 2 liters lmao! Before ICP started this girl in her late 20's (Very attractive) asked if my named was Chad and my first reaction was who the fuck is this? But turned out Lafey was looking for me and she had a bf. I was up front the whole time for ICP's set, thanks to Lafey and my sister.

I really believe this was ICP's best stage show ever! Lots of Strobe lights and Confetti. Very theatrical  indeed! Legs Diamond opens up the show as The Ring master, with the stage set up as a Circus/Carnival, introducing characters in cages on the left and right  And then of course introduces the clowns opening with In Yo Face! During Chicken Hunting they through out a stuffed Farmer.  I saw Caleb pulling on the stuffed farmer, with someone and else and it ended up ripping in half. They threw fake chicken feathers out, the feathers sticking to everyone, from the Faygo lol

Of course I expected Monster Clowns and Zombies running around on stage spraying tons and tons of Faygo all over. DJ Clay Scratching records in the back! During" Juggalo island" it was set with a beach theme, "Mr. Johnson's Head" is set up like a class room with Desks and masked students trying to grab the back pack from Violent J, to which J pulls out a Head. A dead body sitting in a chair during "I found a body". The track "Zombie slide" featured Zombie's sliding all over the floor.

Michael Jackson tribute with people dressed as Michael Jackson sliding around and moon walking, to which which Violent J says speaking of how to catch a predator, and goes into the track.

To Catch a predator was kinda acted out like a skit. Two hot girls dressed in school outfits getting chased by a predator. Shaggy starts kicking him down. Then Corporate Robinson comes up behind and punches him for a few and sets up a very tall ladder and power bombs the predator off the ladder through a table, knocking the predator out. The Axe Murder boys came out during "Fuck The World", surprised me with their flows, weren't bad at all. Wash my hair, and my face, and my butt crack wit' it, When that part kicked in for Pass me by. Shaggy 2 dope poured Faygo down the back of his pants.

They ended the night with Bang Pow Boom, going way crazy on the Faygo. I won't be surprised if they get banned at The Shrine here, the gym floor was pretty much like a body of a faygo lake after the show. M y eyes were burning (Moon mist hurts the worst especially when its a monster clown squirting you in eyes with a super soaker filled in Faygo moon mist), I was shivering from being drenched in the cold soda and I my Twiztid shirt is pretty much ruined lol

I been meaning to write this out for a week, but I been sick as hell. Came back with a brutal cold. Big thanks to Jesse for all the driving!!!  So Jesse from work and I headed out a Saturday, the day before the show. 9 hour drive going  through Wyoming, and a little bit of Colorado, finally making it to Denver.  We slept in a wal-mart parking lot grilling steaks on a portable grill.

Mayhemfest was set up with Three Stages. Mainstage,  Hot topic extreme Metal stage and The Jagiermeister stage. Once one band was finished a different band on a different stage would start. None of the bands overlapped. Pretty much a pattern till the mainstage started. Hot topic then Jagiermeister then Hot topic back to Jageirmeister etc I pretty much stayed at at the Extreme Metal stage most of the concert. .

White Chapel tore it up! I'm not to into them, but fuck the crowd loved them. Immediately the pits formed!  The vocalists I thought would be some bearded buff dude, but he is pretty much built like me. They murdered the stage!

I watched God forbid from the side of the Hot topic stage. I had to take a breather from Whitechapel, but the crowed sung a long there entire set and they kicked ass!

Finally a little piece of home. Detroit Michigans Melodic Death Metal, "The Black Dahlia Murder", have greatly improve since I saw them on Ozzfest 05!!! The crowd surfing during there set bruised my back up pretty damn good.

I'm not going to review Job for a Cowboy. Seen them way too much lol Look in my Megadeth  blog.

ALL THAT REMAINS

The highlight of the day for me wa finally getting to meet All That Remains!!! They are very chill peeps! I ended up missing Trivium and Behemoth trying to meet them.

The first signing, I eventually backed out of the line, for the heat of being smothered by all the crowded bodes almost had me passing out. I finally jumped in line after watching Cannibal Corpse and they were still signing and met them! I talked to Phil for awhile about seeing them detroit and him punching a kid to get his hat back. His over exaggerated story of his point of view  was fucking priceless. Very funny!  Phil's jaw about hit the floor when he found out we drove 9 hours to attend the show. His initial  reaction was "Your not driving back tonight are you?" "Nope sleeping in a parking lot and leaving in the morning"  and he gave us a big thanks for driving that far.

Corpsegrinder  wearing the usual Dethklok t-shirt

Cannibal Corpse  tore it up!!! I was in the pit the entire set. I really got messed up during "Hammer Smashed Face". Crowd went crazy for that! I couldn't really see in the pit, because of all the dust and dirt in the air.  Imagine a sand storm engulfing an entire city. It was super hard to breathe! The pit  was pretty much like slamming into invisble bodies, cause you couldn't see anyone.   I came out covered in dirt and dust as if  I crawled out of a coalmine!  Encore: Stripped, Raped, and Strangled

Trying to get a picture while in the pit during CC's epic hammer smashed face! lol

Mainstage!!!
Bullet For My Valentine opened up the Mainstage and had all the girls screaming there name and singing a long. The shredding owned and they put on  a hell of  a show!

Howard Jones singing his ass off!
Killswitch Engage very entertaining opening with "My Last Serenade", Guitarist Adam making a fool out of himself as usual.  One on his lines were "Any 18 year old girls willing to come with me to the bathroom so I can show you my junk" . Ended the set with a cover of Dio's Holy Diver!

Tom of Slayer!
Before they started I was using the bathroom and someone yelled SLAYER right in my left ear lmao I'm still in awe after seeing Slayers performance. FUCKING EPIC ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!! The stage was covered  In Flames, upside down crosses and pentagrams! Kerry King and his godly shredding was just amazing!!!  Tom may had been off key a little bit with the vocals, but the raw energy was there and left the people drooling for more! Of course they ended the set with the legendary "Raining Blood"!

I still can't believe I saw the nine inch nails prodigy himself  "Marilyn Manson"! Never would I thought In my whole life, I would would see him live. His performance owned and brought out all the spooky goth kids!  He came out wearing a gas mask with the american flag behind him and for some reason had an oxygen tan with him the entire set. The stage filled with Fog.   Manson's mic had a knife at the end of it and before jumping into the song Dopeshow he grabbed lipstick and rubbed it all over his face and said "Now don't do drugs kids, besides there expensive".  He ended the night with "Beautiful People."  Manson thanked Colorado for still being by his side, even after him being blamed for columbine.

So here we go! St. Paddys Day Tour 2009!

My very first Punk Show! Jesse and I left from IGA about 6 P.m. and arrived at the Shrine Auditorium not even a half hour later. A real Punk Crowd. I did not see one Fall Out Boy or Simple Plan T-shirts worn by anyone. People wearing The Exploited, Discharge, Sick Of It All, The Germs, Black Flag, DRI etc.

Immediately upon starting the pits opened up and covered the entire floor! The floor was pit after pit after pit! All female Punk act Civet tore it up! I told Jesse to go with the flow and we jumped right in. After their set, we got to meet 3 of the members and got their autographs. We didn't meet the vocalist till after the show.

H20 was really fun. I would describe them very similar to Pennywise. They did some trivia by playing a few seconds of music from different decades and ask people from the crowd to answer who it was they were playing. Going into Black Sabbath, The Clash, Bouncing Souls, and even Metallica. They asked for a circle pit, but the Montana seemed to not know what hell it a circle pit was and just started a normal push pit. H20 stopped playing and had instruct the audience properly to form a circle pit. I busted out laughing, because I never seen a crowd not know how to do a circle pit.  It became really dangerous and people were swepted into the circle like quickly, like a black hole swallowing an entire universe.

The bass player I guess doens't really like to talk to the the crowd at shows, because of his shyness. The vocalist of H20 tried getting him to talk a few times and finally randomly the bass player shouted out "Who's Going Chicken Hunting", to which a few Juggalos shouted out "We're going chicken hunting, which that lead to the vocalist shouting out "Holy shit we have Juggalo's here", just to say, "Lets get back to the Punk.

Dropkick Murphy's were a real blast! Had the most pits and everyone song word for word! Jesse and I got the chance to be on stage with the band and it was like a pit on the stage. I almost was knocked right through the speaker lmao! Dropkicks were really fun, energetic and very interactive with everyone. If you never been to a punk show, Do So! It's a fucking blast! I had the time of my life :)

First of all, a big thanks to Jesse from work for inviting me. It took place at the shrine in Billings, Montana. The show was sponsored by 107.5 and it was As I Lay Dying's first time playing at the venue. It was in the basement of the place and maybe a little bigger than the Wesley Foundation in Mt. Pleasant, Mi. I don't really listen to these bands all that much, so I'm not to familiar with them. I tend to prefer pure Metal these days. The only Metalcore I listen to anymore is All That Remains and Bleeding through.

I was really craving another concert and had to go!
Opening the show was Metalcore act My Children My Bride. The crowd went crazy for them as the floor immediately busted into a giant pit. They asked for Two-Stepping, but the push pit kept going. The poles holding up the foundation were deadly, as people were hitting them by accident, because of the pits. Overall I found the band to be a little boring, but everyone else loved them.
Epic! is the only way I can describe The Human Abstract. They increased the level of danger in the pits and majority sang a long. The vocalist staged dive a lot.

The guitarist can shred for sure! Loved every second of the stage performance!
Canada's Protest The Hero were hilarious. The vocalist Rody Walker mentioned he hasn't changed his underwear in over a week and didn't give a shit. A kid was holding up an As I Lay dying sign and Rody ripped it as a joke. He felt a little bad, apologized later and taped it back up for the kid. He also mentioned that a person at Taco Bell gave him a ride to the venue.
(Yes I finally found a taco bell here!) The vocals are really corny, but you can't deny the guitar shredding!

I don't really listen to them, but As I Lay Dying Tore it up and Billings loved them! Floor was pretty much an entire pit and Tim Lambesis very full of energy, interacting with the audience 100 percent of the time. The sound started screwing up for them ended up cutting out during one of the songs, but they just ignored it and kept going with the song. The sound came back and Tim thanked the crowd for being patient.
The first time I saw the band was back in 2005 at Ozzfest and they have greatly improved!

First concert I have ever been to outside of Michigan. I never have witnessed in my life so much chaos, just to stay up front row. My dad and I left about 5 P.M., two and half hours before the show started (7:30 P.M.), to make sure we would get a good spot right up front. Of course people who bought VIP and pre-sale tickets were let in first and were already on there way to the stage. Technically Dad and I were the first ones in line with regular tickets. A security guard told us we could stay inside and be the first in line for regular tickets, then the other security tried telling us we had to go outside. Of course, my dad argued and we stayed inside. We were right behind the people, right in Front with their bodies pinned to the barracade. Had a perfect view the entire set! And I had a phone this time, to take pics and video :P

Opening the show was group from the UK called "The Bug" fusing raving techno and Jamaican music. A DJ and an African female vocalist. The DJ owned, but the female vocalist I just couldn't stand. She sung in English, but I couldn't really tell what she was saying most of the time. On stage she was groping herself and the whole time I thought she has really hair, it turned out to be a wig she pulled off while shouting she was crazy. At the end of the set, my mind immediatly said, WTF did I just watch!? They played over a half hour.

People started chanting Nine Inch Nails to get on stage right after The Bug ended. Finally what everyone was waiting for, Industrial Rock at it's best: Nine Inch Nails! The light show was breath taking, just jaw dropping! Very trippy stuff! I can't really explain in words how bad ass it was. The band was surrounded in television static for awhile. Then it turned into what looked like rain pouring around the stage, and then a giant illuison cage that surrounded the entire stage.
Everyone was going insane smashing into eachother just to reach the barracade, by shoving the way through or crowd surfing landing on people.I was practically smothered the entire time. Just bodies upon bodies all bunched up together. I was drenched in Sweat and I also had a cute little blonde behind me scratching the hell out of my back so she didn't fall over and she eventually disapeared with all the pushing and shoving going on (Never got the chance to really ask her name or number) A whole entire row of people fell back like the Domnio effect. While taking pictures, I dropped my phone and went down a brown hair girls shirt. She handed it back to me, and just gave me a big smile. I also lost my left shoe for a long time, but my foot magically slid back into it. I also witnessed a kid getting his glasses smashed onto the barracade from all the pushing from everyone. My dad was getting nauseated and kept fightning to stay up front. Finally the security started pouring bottled waters into our mouths to cool us down a little. It litterally felt like I dropped 30 degree's from just drinking a little water.
Trent just had so much energy. You could see his veins bulging out and the sweat just pouring onto the stage floor! And of course, Josh Freese tweaked the drumming of the songs and made them sound more Epic! Esepcailly during March Of The Pigs and Piggy! My favorite part would of haa to be of been the Instrumental Version of the set with Ghosts. Josh was so sweet on the drums. It was just so amazing, with the visuals surrounding the band.
After "Head Like A Hole", the entire screen formed in giant letters, NIN. Then the encore started. During "God Given", a pistol attached with the cross appeared on top of the screen. Everyone held up the lighters for "Hurt". The set ended with Twilight!
Next time NIN comes around be sure to see them. Trent Reznor is the best live act I have seen. Some of you are probably thinking WTF! You seen Black Sabbath, Megadeth, Gwar, etc and your going to say NIN?! Well Trent just had so much energy and the visuals/lighting were the best I have ever seen and I don't think nothing will ever top Nine Inch Nails ( except maybe if Pink Floyd will re-unite and do the wall album live again). I am very thankful I was able to see Trent. I missed the band 4 times in Michigan from 2005-2008.  NiN will be the only band I will probably watch live over and over again!
12th concert and counting!

The Taxman
So last night (Tuesday, August 26th),  Wes and I went to the Strange Noize tour @ The Orbit Room in Grand Rapids.  First time the tour stopped in at Grand Rapids and it was off the hook. Wes and I headed out about noonish and on the way there missed our exit and had to back track a little bit. Big thanks to the lady at the Gas station for better directions back, tho she won't be reading this of course lol. And a giant thanks to Wes!

So I'm going to skip the opener Dirtball and Brother J of X-Clan and go straight to the artists I really like.

Prozak set was pretty short (maybe 20 minuets at the most), but still was kick ass. Pit broke out during the set and quite a few people singing a long to his horror Rap.  Prozak's hype man was animating the lyrics like a mime to the horrorcore and getting the crowd riled up. Him and Prozak were competing against each other to see which of there side of the crowd could be louder and of course Prozak's side won.  All tracks from "Tales From The Sick".

Next to dominate the stage were, California Do it yourself Punk's Hed Planet Earth, leaders of the Truth movement. Brought on the pits for sure! Jahred is a kick ass front man. He interacted the whole time by jumping in the crowd and surfed, made fun of Nickleback and Hinder being a pawn to the radio, gave a shout out to Dimebag Darrel, and making fun of emo kids. The band put the motto Keep Sublime Alive into action by covering Sublime's track "Garden Grove".

He also gave a shot out to the crowd being diverse, getting a long and putting our differences aside for the music and nodded towards Wes and I and said "We even have a couple of Metalheads in the crowd". Taxman of the Kottonmouth Kings jumped on stage during hed p.e.'s set with a giant Megaphone to give a shouted speech on how the government lies,  how we been lied to since we were born, and to not trust them. Jahred was rad after the set and walked around the venue. Wes and I got the chance to meet him and we discussed about the album  Insomnia and the band already working on a new record"New World Orphans".  He Signed my ticket stub and gave each other knucks. "This chick in front of me is thinking WTF! I thought I was going to a rap show"- Jahred.

Kottonmouth Kings: "Psychedelic hip-hop punk rock" KMK was supposed to be headlining the show, but didn't play last strangely. The Kottonmouth Kings set was very fun. Visual Assassin Pakelika  up on stage doing all kind of weird  random dancing motions. You had no idea what he was going to do next. Taxman kept running out with the Megaphone and chanting. The crowd was very energetic and crazy. Moshing and crowd surfing all the way through the set. You don't have to be a stoner or like pot at all to enjoy KMK. There just a very fun act to watch live  and even better, they combine Punk. "We're The Kottonmouth Kings and we don't give a fuck".

Tech N9ne finished the night up. He came upon stage wrapped up in a straight jacket and tore out of it. He pretty much stole the show and was very entertaining. Tech was wearing white face paint and the background was flashing Tech N9ne whenever someone said his name. Krizz  was up on stage with him pretty much the the whole time. It was rad stuff. Girls jumped up on stage and danced and at the end of the set the Kottonmouth Kings jumped on stage with him and closed out the concert. The show ended way past the sound curfew. :)

It was the most Punk show I have been to in my life. After seeing this, I really need to see Rancid and hope the Sex Pistols do another tour around the states. I may have to wait until I can go with my Friend Jarred, for he is the one that got me into true Punk. In the mean time I'm in the mood to listen to some Bob Dylan and I need to find my Black Flag "Damaged" album.

A big shout out to everyone who went, and that would be: The Phenix siblings, Wes, Aaron, Jennifer, Franki, Kim, Tom, and last, but not least, Jessica.

First time ever going to an Electronica/Industrial show! And first time ever going to the Orbit Room inGrand Rapids. The floor was like vacuumed packed and the crowd was really diverse and amazing. People raving, moshing, and I even saw some hardcore dancing. Metalheads, Punks, Hardcore kids, and the Gothic crowd all getting a long and rocking out, even seeing a guy in a Winnie The Pooh outfit in the pit!  The first of us headed out around ....noon.... taking two vehicles and when we arrived Aaron and Tom checked into the hotel, where we all hung out for a few hours, and walked to the Orbit Room right before the show started. I was running on 3 hours of sleep lmao.

Julien-K was the first to jump on stage. I wasn't sure if I was going to like them at first, but they put on a really good show. The best way I could describe there music, is a combination of Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, and constant techno rave music. The drummer was constantly throwing out drum sticks, as if he had an infinite amount and the band as a whole interacted with the crowd a lot. Julien-K even gave away free cd's throwing them out to everyone and then giving them away at the merch. RAD STUFF!  Lots of people were jumping and clapping a long during the set. They played about 40 min!

I just found out about The Birthday Massacre last week and wow there fan base is huge.  People were going crazy for them, especially when the distortion of the Guitars kicked in. I was in the pit with Josh, Justin, and Wes most of the set. The floor was really slippery with spilled drinks all over, making it very hard to keep balance in the pit. Justin even ended up falling lol. It was a very interesting type of music to mosh to, definitely different. They played a very good hour!

The Mindless Self Indulgence performance was very energetic, and the most random frontman I have ever seen for a band, Jimmy Urine, doing all kinds of unpredictable behavior.   Opening with "Shut Me Up", and playing an equal amount of new and old tracks. Whenever Jimmy wanted everyone to sing, he waved his arms around like a conductor before hand.  Also on stage, he threw cookies out to the crowd, ran around with a tiger mask on for awhile, did a little hand puppet show and wrestling around with the puppet, using the speaker as the puppet stand, crawling on his stomach all over the stage, always jumping from speaker to speaker, and constantly yelling out random obnoxious things, making fun of the crowd and himself.  Lyn Z, kept showing off her flexible skills bending her body in crazy positions, while jamming out the bass.

Jimmy decided to hold the audience hostage, grabbing a sheet to make himself look like a gangster and wanted 20$ to continue playing. He was joking around of course, but people were still crowd surfing handing him money. "Were going out to Red Lobster tonight"-Jimmy.  And when a dollar reached the stage, he decided to put it down his pants and handed it over to Lyn Z telling her to buy some hush puppies for herself to eat. Jimmy then decided he wanted to look like a ballerina and asked the girls to throw up some clothes. Lots of chick clothes landed on stage, including a ballerina gown thing and a pair of pink star glasses and that's what he wore through out the rest of the show lmao. "Why did you dress me up like Amy Winehouse and Kanye West's love child?? WHY??"

-Jimmy

The guy in the Winnie The Pooh, costume decided to sneak in the back, running past security to give Jimmy a hug. He jumped off the stage, and Jimmy said really quick "Your going to jail", and the security finally arrested Pooh. And then sometime during the set someone got a hold of a fire extinguisher and was spraying it all around, Crazy shit! Mindless Self Indulgence closed out the set with "I Hate Jimmy Page"

"The bad news we're now a top 40 band, like every other band, Assholes! The good news is, we just want your money" – Jimmy Urine.

A Big thanks to my best friend Steve Brown and his fiancé Ramie. First time sitting in the pavilion, and what made it even better, was it was with my best friend and his fiancé! Megadeth, Gigantour 2008, DTE! 5th year in a row going to this venue, it's like my second home or something.

So we arrive about .3 P.M. at the DTE and as all of us get out of the car to get in line, it starts pouring Ice cold rain and thundering out. The security can't let us in till 4 and we are like getting soaked. Not to mention, the weather started to drop all the way to 40's degrees and the wind was blowing really hard. Perfect scene for a Metal show! In line so many people were ripping on Metallica and even made fun of the kids who showed up with Metallica shirts. xD Especially the kid who showed up with the St. Anger Shirt.  This was also the very first time I finally sat in pavilion seats and was very thankful I wasn't stuck on the lawn getting more soaked. Felt sorry for the lawn peeps.

The three piece High On Fire jumped on the stage and totally owns! Stoner Sludge Metal probably at it's finest. Very heavy Sabbathy stuff! First time really listening to them and I am for sure a fan now. Such killer riffs, solos, and the drumming pwned. If I had control of my own army, High On Fire's music would be the perfect background for battle. Crowd really dug them.

Next up on stage were Deathcore Kids, from
Phoenix, Arizona, Job For A Cowboy. Second time seeing them. First time I saw them was on Sound of The Underground (Believe it or not I even had lunch with them that day), So the stage show was easily predictable and a little boring, not to into them really in the first place. But the other people still went crazy over them. And it wasn't just the scene kids either. They were moshing and ripping up some of the lawn during the set. A lot during the set, JFAC kept shouting out to raise our " Fucking   Metal Horns". One thing for sure, they have worked on the solos and made them actually sound decent to me anyways. Still a lot of the Pig squeals in the set tho lol.

I noticed the person sitting in front of me walked down pretty close to the front and took some pictures during JFAC. So I asked him about it and he replied "just follow
me.", and sat in some empty seats.

I ended up getting to watch Children Of Bodom 6 seats away from the front row ..m/. I wasn't really supposed to be seating in the seats that close, but the security didn't mind and whoever had those seats didn't show up at all during Bodom's set, so I had a perfect view the whole time. I know Un- Bodom fans call them overated and people hate on them, but It was still so Epic! I never noticed how scrawny and short Alexi Laiho was. Wasn't much taller than me. He kept licking his guitar after he finished a solo.  Very odd, but his shredding skills still owned! Laiho, also kept making sure the crowd was loud enough. The keyboardist even joked around for a little bit and busted out some Whitesnake lol. Tons of Bodom fans were around going crazy and windmilling the hair. The lawn was filled with a giant circle pit and lasted the entire set. Watching Alexi Laiho shred up so close, was freaking amazing! You will just have to witness it yourself.  while we were up that close! Sadly I had to go back to my regular seat, which was far in the back lol. "The weather fucking sucks fucking dick" - Alexi

But the best was still ahead!

Bodoms Setlist I think went like this

Six Pounder
Living Dead Beat
In Your Face
Hate Me!
Hellhounds On My Trail
Angels Don't Kill
Blooddrunk
Downfall

Quite a few people left after Bodom ended. Well it was there loss, because Gothenburg Melodic-Death Metal band, In Flames tore it up! Second time seeing In Flames. The first time was seeing them open up Ozzfest 2005. The crowd reaction was great and everyone was singing and clapping a long. Especially during, "The
Quiet Place" and "Come Clarity". Such amazing energy from Anders! Constantly headbanging and jumping up and down, through the entire set and interacting with the auidence. Best quotes from Anders that night were," I don't know how you guys are standing still wearing t-shirts, I'm from Sweden and I'm still freezing" - Anders
"If you've got a problem with these guys moshing, you shouldn't be in the front row man" - Anders
They closed off the set with "My Sweet Shadow" and told us they will be around in November!

It took forever for Speed Metal legends Megadeth to get set up, but finally they opened up with the new track "Sleep Walker"! Dave mentioned it himself that there wasn't going to be much talking, because of the curfew and wanted to get through as many songs as he could. Dave was a little off key with the vocals with the newer tracks, but I think that was because he is still trying to learn them lol But he did an amazing job on the classic tracks and his guitar skills make up for whatever vocals he messed up on. Just so much crazy guitar shredding! I can't even describe in words, how talented Mustaine is, especially finally being able to see it in real life. In the background they had the "Rust In Peace" cover, "United Abominations cover", Burning Flames, and shots of the sky. and then just a huge black curtain with a giant Megadeth logo.

The Crowd reaction for "A Tout Le Monde", "Symphony Of Destruction", and "Peace Sells", was rad!

The tracks I remember are "Sleep Walker". "Take No Prisoners", "Trust, "Kick The Chair" "Gears Of War". "
Washington Is Next," "In My Darkest Hour". "Skin O My teeth" "Hangar 18", "Burnt Ice", "A Tout Le Monde", "Tornado Of Souls," "Ashes In Your Mouth" "Wake The Dead", "Symphony Of Destruction", " Peace Sells", and what seemed like the very end of the set Dave greatly appreciated everyone for coming out to the show and introduced the current line up of everyone in Megadeth and then for an encore "Holy Wars... Punishment Due with Mechanix"! Dave did end up going over the curfew *Insert Metal Horns*.

It's good to know Dave Mustaine can still own :)

We all froze our asses off, but it was worth it!

First of all a big Thanks to Ken for everything! First time meeting Ken that day and we go see All That Remains. I didn't think the concert was going to go through and then I got a message from Ken and next thing I knew we were in Detroit. Cool stuff! So after getting everything together Ken, Wes, and I left finally about 5 P.M. and thought we were going to be late. Ken drove like 90 all the way and we ended up getting to Detroit a little bit after 7, parked and walked to the Majestic Theater. First time being at the Majestic and it was the first concert I been to where you can pay at the door and don't have to have a ticket.

First act to play was a Hardcore band called "For The Fallen Dreams". They were awful and it brought on all the lame hardcore dancing. They tried to get people to get into them by saying stuff like "Jump up and down like you were at a Slipknot concert", but it didn't really work lmao. Not too many people were into them. At first a pit broke out and then for some reason it stopped. Scene kids started Hardcore dancing and two-stepping. I don't mind the two-stepping, but when they start swinging there arms around and hitting people that's when you draw the line! One guy wearing a Lamb Of God shirt had enough, jumped up and picked a skinny scene kid up, slamming him to the floor and then started mocking them by making humping motions.

Divine Heresy was next. There signed to Century Media Records. I don't mind them. They bring nothing new to the Metalcore scene, but they were entertaining to watch. Wes and I were pretty close to the front and were practically being smothered from everyone pushing from the back. The crowd surfers were being thrown like rag dolls. The vocalist was picking them up, launching them back into the crowd after reaching the stage. I had so many people landing on me. One of them happens to be a hot chick with Nothingface tattooed on her back. My back and neck is so sore right now lol. The Vocalist then decided to jump in and crowd surf himself. During the set a fight broke out. Some kid just started hitting on another kid. The Vocalist started breaking up the fight, but the kid continued to hit. Eventually security jumped in and the vocalist started calling the Kid a Punk Douche bag and told the kid "hard earned dollars were paid to watch a Rock show and he was ruining it for everyone". Talk about a burn to the face. Towards the end of the set The Wall of Death broke out. People were falling on the floor, for the floor was covered in spilt beer.

Wes and I were really tired after Divine Heresy. We lost track of Ken for a little bit and watched Chimaira in them back from the stairs. Chimaira were a big disappointment this time around. They kept getting feedback through the guitars. Mark Hunter didn't show much enthusiasm with everyone and was real weak on the vocals. The only thing I can think of is he must of been really tired. The Lights were pretty cool and The drummer still kicked ass, but that is pretty much it. They ended the set again with "Pure Hatred".

Finally got to see All That Remains Headline on there own tour! For some reason right before they came on they were blaring Rap group N.W.A. The song "Straight Outta Compton."Opening with "The Air That I Breathe". Wes and I started out in the right corner by the speaker and then were pushed pretty close to the front. Phil was very energetic jumping around on stage and making sure everyone was singing a long. At one point he laid down right in front of us and people formed a small circle and he put his hand inside the circle so we could all sing into the mic. During "Becoming The Catalyist" some Kid stole Phil's hat and almost pulled Phil off the stage. Phil had to stop singing the chorus and the lead guitarist took over the vocals. It ended with Phil punching the kid in the face and getting his hat back.

After the song he apologized to the kid and said something of the lines that he couldn't just say in the middle of the song "Dude can I have my hat back?" Everyone went Nuts when "Six" started. The people who had a lighter held it up during the solo. Phil dedicated 'Tattered On My Sleeve" to all the girls. I guess he does this for every show.

Before they played "Follow" from "Behind Silence and Solitude" Phil gave a little history behind the song. He talked about the days when he was vocalist for Shadows Fall and started writing his own music while learning to play Guitar. Eventually Shadows Fall kicked him out and "Follow" was the first song he wrote for All That Remains. Phil then took a shot break on stage with Tim Yeung. Tim said something about thinking he had on Phil's pants. Phi replied back "Everyone wears my pants so it's ok".

"This Calling" was supposed to be the last song, but then Phil came back out and started shouting "YEAH". He went to the right side and had everyone yell it back, then ran to left and did the same thing and then the middle. Seeing who could say it louder. Then he had everyone yell it all at once. It wasn't loud enough for him, so he had us yell it once more for an Encore. The Encore was "The Weak Willed" Everyone held up the Metal Horns and the whole floor erupted into a Giant Circle Pit.

On the way back we somehow ended up in West Branch and Got home around 6 in the morning back tracking. Mind you the show ended around 11ish. LMAO Its ok Ken. It was worth it ALL THAT REMAINS OWNED! The Weather was pretty bad on the way home.

Setlist

Every Song from "The Fall Of Ideals" except for "Whispers"

This Darkened Heart: This Darkened Heart and Tattered On My Sleeve

"Follow" From "Behind Silence and Solitude".

Still smell like faygo after showering Twice! John Groh, Derek Lorenz, Justin Phenix, My Brother, and I went to Detroit at The Filmore, to See Insane Clown Posse on Halloween!! The Car ride alone was worth going, us being obnoxious and laughing our asses off. I seriously choked on my sandwich from laughing lmao. John was kind enough, drove us, and paid for all our meals! That was pretty fucking cool (Next concert I owe Ya John!) We got there 10 Min before Five, and walked around Detroit looking for a bathroom, for over 30 min, and every place had there bathroom closed down. Had to wait to get inside the concert, to Urinate!

The Line: Homeless asking for change like usual, People handing out demo cd's, 90% in Clown paint, Juggalos's spraying Faygo everywhere and on anything, yelling whoo-whoo, chants, songs, and hugging. I even saw a person decked out in a Ninja Outfit, that he made himself with Sais (You know those things the Red Ninja Turtle uses, Yeah I know I'm a nerd and know that shit.) He was like 20. Some people went a little to far with Orange Faygo and starting attacking a Police Car with the Faygo, eventually it led to a person getting put onto the hood of the car, getting arrested by a female officer. People started shouting "LET HIM GO" over and over. Eventually he was let go, and finally we were all inside the Venue.

Motown Rage: A local Detroit band. Think Hed P.E. with major Guitar solos. They were alright, but one thing for sure there guitarist can shred. The guitarist grabbed a real drill, and said, "This is a drill, this is my guitar, and this is a beat." Drilled on the guitar strings and He started beat boxing to it, and towards the end, added a solo. Pretty interesting to watch, with small pits in the front. 20 min set.

Boondox AKA The Scarecrow: 100 percent what I expected, to kick ass!!! Horror movie violent lyrics, with a southern blend, since he is from the South. Opening with Punkinhed! Justin, Caleb, and I headed down to the main floor, and of course were immediatly in a pit. The pit was during a Drinking Song, of all songs, "Sippin On Down" Ending with "Seven! Crowd went crazy for him. Close to an hour set.

Necro: Yep watched him again. Surpringsly did a good job. This time he wasn't an asshole, and didn't have his hypeman attacking kids, for not liking him. Of course majority liked him, since it was a different type of show and not a Metal/Hardcore show like Sounds Of The Undergroud (Gwar headlining). I do give him Kudos' for using real instruments, and working with members of Hatebreed, Obituary, Lamb Of God, Suffocation, and even Megadeth. Hour set.

INSANE CLOWN POSSE: Literally kicked my ass. The Stage: Carved Pumpkins, Haunted House in the back, Monsters and Clowns running around, while Violent J, and Shaggy Rapped. Opening with "Dead Pumpkins". It was packed on the floor. The pits were moving! People were, pushing us from the back, causing us to push the other's in the front, causing people all the way up front, to fall over the barricade. Someone finally shouted, If the barricade goes down ICP will stop playing finally it stopped.! lost my right shoe a few times, and lost all my stuff that was in my hoodie pocket. Tons of varitey of Faygo flying eveywhere hitting and spraying people, soaking them. During Chicken Hunting everyone went fucking nuts. We lost my brother and didn't find him till the end of the set. lmao. He decided to go crowd surfing and went missing. He was fine, he was in the pits, drenched with faygo and got to High five Violent J.

During the faygo song, they had a bucket filled with Faygo, Justin and I were hit did on with it, and were soaked! Justin went estatic, when they played Halls Of Illusions and even knocked me down, from jumping lmao! They performed a shit load of songs. Tracks from The Ring Master, Riddle Box, Great Milenko, The Amazing Jekyl Brothers, BizzareBizzaar, Wraith, Hells Pit, and The Tempest. And even Christmas and Hallowicked tracks. Towards the end Balloons fell from the sealing and everyone starting popping them. They ended with Pass Me By, and went insane with the Faygo. John was hit in the head a few times, looking for my brother. The whole entire set was amazing and of course we all had a blast! Close to two hour set! Sadly we missed the after party with Wrestling Matches, Jamie Madrox Of Twiztid, and Project Born Performing. Though, we were all wore out, and wanted to get some food and go home. ICP can put on a hell of a show! 7th concert and Counting!

and few more that I can't remember

A giant big thanks to Aaron and Jessica for the food and Hotel, Josh for the ticket and food, and Justin, John, and fred for keeping me safe in the pit!

We drove down there late, stayed at a motel, woke up late, I sadly missed the banner pic, and Nile. :(

Either way still was a blast!!!

Second Stage: Big Dave announcing the bands, chicks taking off there tops and having a four way make out session with other girls, insane pits, constantly moving and having people slam into you, see all the bands right up front, no seats, very hot parking lot, and it's the most fun part of the day.

We caught the ending of Ankla. They seemed to be decent.

Chthonic was amazing live and are now my all time favorite Black Metal band! Think Cradle Of Filth. They hail from Taiwan. Blast beats; kick ass guitar solos, eerie keyboarding, and one of the members playing a violin type instrument, creating a horror movie type sound. Love the corpse paint they wear. They seem to hate the government. Had us chanting Fuck the politics and was waving around there national flag.
Not to much energy going on for them.

When Devildriver came on stage everyone went fucking nuts. Not originally part of the line up. They were recently added, because another band dropped off. Des had everyone make a 25 foot circle pit and made everyone move to make it. Started out slow then began gaining lots of speed. I lost my shoe a couple times. lol During this I saw a huge black dude, kick a white guy's ass and a few people fell over during the pit. Very full of energy!

Behemoth tore it up and the level of danger increased. A Death Metal band from Poland. Insane Guitar solo's, blast beats, and all have corpse paint. A massive pit broke out and I was fell down and was stepped upon on my neck. I was then being choked, but it turned out it was my friend Justin helping me get up the only we he could, a choke hold. Thanks for saving my ass dude! Behemoth spit blood on the audience before ending.and Inferno did a sweet drum solo.

Big Dave bet Jamey Jasta of hatebreed he could get a wall of chicks, to flash. Dave lost the bet, for only a few particpaited. 2nd time seeing Hatebreed. As soon as hatebreed came on, a hardcore dancer started swinging his fists about, and was immediately knocked over by four people. The pits were of course moving! Jamey Brought 3 little kids up on the stage. Which, was pretty cool I thought.

They played a lot of older material, and a few new songs. Everyone shouted with Hatebreed. Jamey thanked everyone for supporting the underground hardcore/Metal scene and even gave a big shout out thanks to Ozzy! We left before the set was over, for we were tired, hungry, dehydrated, and burned from the sun.

After getting food, and everything we headed up to the main stage. During the Mainstage this creepy goth chick kept staring at Josh and I. I would of said said Hi, but she put her hood over her face and sat down, and had an angry look on her face. She wasn't bad looking at all, just was kinda creepy. lol

The opening band was Black Tide, a local band from Florida. They were between the ages 14-19 and were pulling off Solo's like Slayer and Metallica. They even covered Metallica's hit the lights. There original songs need some work on the lyrics, but the rest is perfect.

Lordi, from Finland, were ok. Think Gwar mixed with Judas Priest/Motley Crue. There costumes are pretty sweet looking and there stage show with flames, and fire works were pretty cool to watch, but I just wasn't feeling the music from them. I love classic Metal, but there style just didn't work for me.

The Industrial Electronic Disco nu-metal kings, Static-X were next. Opening with "Cannibal". (if I remember right.) And I think ended with Push it. Wayne did the entire songs perfect and they played a variety of new and old. For some odd reason during the song cold, (of all songs) people were ripping up the lawn and throwing sod all over the place. I'm not talking small pieces either like Giant pieces, and hitting people in the back of the head, spilling drinks, knocking over food, and even causing injuries from the rocks. Wayne had to yell out to tell people to stop, because security was going to close down the show. Some pics below two online friends sent from the Ozzfest boards.

It started on the far right and just moved on down to us on the far left. Even we were getting hit. Eventually it started to slow down, but it kept going all the way till Lamb Of god came on. Big dave Even came out and told everyone to knock it the fuck off and that the only thing we should be doing with grass is smoking it.

Lamb of God came on and played one hell of a show. People even had there lighters out. I can't remember what the hell they open with, but I am 100 percent certain they ended with Black Label. A very good setlist. Going from songs like 11th hour, Omerta, Now You've Got Something To Die For, Again we rise, Blacken The Cursed Sun, you get the point. It was a damn good Variety. Lamb Of God thanked the entired road crew and gave a big shout to Ozzy, without him there would be No Ozzfest and a lot of the Metal bands wouldn't exist today.

The crowd partipaction, for The hell no part of Blacken The Cursed Sun was amazing. During the song Redneck, My friend Josh and I decided to jump into the giant pit on the far right. We were moshing for a bit, and then this huge buff dude plowed Josh over onto his face, and he slid about a couple feet. It was funny, but I felt bad for him.

The guy then charged towards me hitting me in the chest, I somehow managed to keep my grip on the ground. Josh got up and I was like you ready to start again, and he was like no and brushed the dirt off his shirt, and we headed back to our spot and watched Lamb Of God finish off the set with Black Label. Ozzy Osbourne was Next!

First time seeing Ozzy solo! I saw him with Sabbath in 05 and he didn't play Detroit in 06, so I was pretty excited.

Before he came on stage, they showed a couple skits of Ozzy. One with Ozzy being tied in a chair, and two people debating on how Ozzy got there in the first place. They went to go untie him and He bit them. Another one was Ozzy eating out an old lady and coughing up bird feathers. It was pretty fucked up lol. The funniest one was Ozzy dancing with this lady and he accidently ripped her leg off lmao.

Opening up with Bark at the Moon and finishing with Paranoid. He started out singing kinda crappy, but improved pretty quick on the second song Mr. Crowley. A lot of the time everyone waved there lighters around. Ozzy was spraying everyone in the front with a squirt gun type thing and kept bowing down, showing appreciation for us being there. Zakk Wylde played like a 10-15 min guitar solo, which including the American Anthem. On the screens, they put a picture of the flag waving behind him, while he was playing. Every time Ozzy was going to end the show everyone kept shouting out "ONE MORE SONG ONE MORE SONG" He played four more songs, which included Crazy Train, and eventually ending with Paranoid. He told everyone to drive safe home and not to get in trouble with the cops. He then told everyone cya next year!

3rd year in a row and Counting! Can't wait till next year! Won't be a poor bastard next time lol.

Sounds Of The Underground 07 The Filmore! Thanks again to Jarred Arnold, David Post, David Post Brother, Steve Brown, and Tyler owens!

Probably the most random planned concert ever. Seriously, David and I were hanging out with Jarred and I was watched them jam for awhile. All of a sudden, Steve and Tyler pulled in the drive way and we decided to go see Gwar. Woke up the next morning at 7 a.m.. and finally left to Detroit around 8 . We arrived around 11 a.m. and David's brother (Who was working on sound board for the tour) negotiated with a giant security guy, who hooked us all up with VIP passes. His exact words were "If you get into any trouble I will kick your asses and I will shove my foot up your ass so far, you won't be able to shit again". The giant was just joking around, but it was still intimidating lmao. Well we had some time to kill after that and went to some burger restaurant to get some food. Believe or not, sitting right next to us was Job For A Cowboy. I was to nervous to say anything to them and kept eating my burger.

Hardcore band "This Is Hell", jumps on stage and gave everything they had. They were a pretty cool band and just doing what they like to do. The vocalist gave a big thanks to everyone for showing up before closing out the set.

Goatwhore destroyed the stage, with there satanic heaviness. It was intense! The old school Metal heads who showed up with the Morbid Angel t-shirts were wind milling there hair the entire time. Some kid decided it would be cool to hardcore dance near a guy wearing a "Gore not core shirt", and got the crap kicked out of him. It happened at least 10 feet away from us and blood was all over the floor. Goatwhore dedicated a song to "The Black Dahlia Murder", and gave a shout out for us supporting independent music. They also gave a shout out for This Is Hell. It was kinda funny, you could tell Tyler really didn't want to watch Goatwhore, for the lyrics and music were to brutal for him lol. After Goatwhore, David, Steve, and I got in line to meet the band and get sigs. Vocalist Ben Falgoust was really cool. He brought his hand out to take shake my hand before I did and handed me a flyer to see them with Cannibal Corpse.

The Acacia Strain were alright. Though, it was funny watching them make fun of the hardcore kids for not two-stepping correctly lol.

The Devil Wears Prada is a band that I don't really like (Not for there beliefs, but the genre), but they still had a bunch of energy, jumping around, doing flips and kicking off the speakers. The keyboardist looked like his neck was going to snap, the way he was whipping his head around lol. Tyler was really into them. Before they closed out the set they told us that "Jesus loves us and to find him".

I Am not going to even describe anything for Number 12 Looks Like You or Heavy Heavy Low Low. They both were very terrible!

The dethcore kids Job For A Cowboy were pretty impressive. The crowd reacton was insane and the entire floor was in a pit! Watching the pit from the very top seats was such an amazing view. It was rad!

The Vikings Amon Amarth dominated the stage. If they asked Detroit to come and pillage and plague, I'm sure everyone would have followed. Every member is like 10 feet tall and crazy buff. The entire floor was wind milling with them. Idk, for some reason it's entertaining to watch this band twirl their hair around lol. (Look up a video to know what I mean) The entire crowd loved them!

The band was behind schedule and were not supposed to play, because the tour bus broke down. The late Darkest Hour still ended up playing, but the setlist was sadly cut short. Henry was awesome on the vocals and tore it up! He's looked so nerdy, but so brutal at the same time. The floor was of course was back into a giant pit and I watched a few people fall down and get trampled. AMAZING!

Necro was alright at first, but then he went too far. He calls his genre Death Rap and was put on the tour, because he has did tracks with real Metal bands. His hypeman was attacking kids for flipping him off and throwing food/drinks at the stage. Necro tried getting people to start a pit, but everyone refused. Necro then decided to spit on the crowd. The hypeman did end up connecting his fist to someone. People tried getting on stage to attack Necro, but the security kept pushing back. Things started getting out of hand and eventually, David's brother, Brian cut off the power to the stage right in the middle of the set, forcing Necro and his hypeman to leave the stage. I respect Necro, because he can flow and has awesome knowledge on Metal. It's just the way he presented himself that ruined his performance. Maybe, next time.

So after the horrible Necro performance came SHADOWS FALL. Second time seeing the band and of course, put on again, one hell of a show. They played a lot of new stuff of course to support the new redemption record. But they also went into older Material. Lots of strobe lights going on. I swear, I thought I was going to go blind. I think Brian's dreads have gotten longer. They were dragging all over the floor. Brian made fun of emo music and said that they need to move on from there Girl friends. Pretty good Moshing going on and of course everyone sung/screamed a long.

Every Time I Die fucking rocks live and are very fun to watch. Behind them was a huge painting of a giant Middle finger with ETID written across. They played a very good set. From Hot Damn!, Gutter Phenomenon, older material I have never heard, and a good amount of new songs from The Big Dirty. (Coming out in September.) Every Time I Die, brought a guy onstage to chug a beer while they played. Everyone chanted, CHUG! CHUG! CHUG! The kid was underage of course, and stopped a couple times. And to make it up he smashed the can with his forehead. He then shook hands with Keith and was brought back onto the floor. Lots of moshing and lame hardcore dancing!

Chimaira really surprised me. They open up the set with Nothing Remains. Lots of strobe lights again. The entire floor again, was a huge pit. In between each song, a different bass player came in. Chimaira's bass player couldn't attend the show, cause of a passing, of a family member. So Every Time I Die, Shadows Fall, and Gwar bass players filled in. Chimaira's drummer birthday was the same day of the show.

Two pretty hot chicks came out with a birthday cake for him and everyone sang happy birthday. Chimaira ended the set by asking the crowd if anyone could play the bass part to "Pure Hatred". A girl said she could do it, but Mark told her bullshit. Finally a male from the crowd, shouted, he could sing the song and was brought onstage to perform it. He did a pretty damn good job. Hit every line, didn't even fuck up once. I thought that was pretty fucking cool of Chimaira. More proof that underground bands care more for the fans than what the mainstream do. Much Respect!

Finally what everyone was waiting for. THE MIGHTY GWAR! Got to watch pretty close to the front! Gwar's little minions were running around stage spraying people and killing random people and creature's including, the virgina tech guy(He was shooting off his gun and made a new record 36 kills), Juicifer (A Jewish Satan), brought Gor-Gor on stage, fed a zombie looking dude crack, then killed him, a guy on a coffin, making fun of Gwar, etc. Oderus and one of the minions on stage, necrophilia his homo-sexual dead dog, and ripped it apart. Oderus exact lines were, "Oh no my dog is a homo-sexual I think something's going to happen." A girl was crowd surfing, amd right when she made it to the front; Oderus soaked her down, right in the face, with his cuddle fish (Fake penis with teeth)! Gor-Gor came out and Oderus had a hell of time fighting him. Finally he shoved his sword through the roof of the Dinosaurs mouth, with blood spraying everywhere. The set closed out with a cheap cover version of Iron Maiden Run to the Hills. Everyone on the floor covered in Gwar Goo!

It's been over 20 years of Gwar and people still enjoy being sprayed by our juices- Oderus

Current mood:  sick
Category: Music

I had been looking for a Asian band to get into for awhile.  And I turned on Headbangers ball and saw the video for "Saku", and immediately got sucked into there music.  If your to closed minded about English vocals, just listen to Dir En Grey's track "Marmalade Chainsaw".  This band set the stage for me to get into the music of Taiwan's Chthonic.

(Set list on the bottom person from MySpace sent them to me.) First of all thanks to Nick for inviting me, Des for picking me up, and there dad for letting me stay, Rose for the driving and her friend getting the poster Signed. Yeah I got to Catch Japan's Dir En Grey at Saint Andrews Hall in Detroit along with Fair To Midland! Second time going to the Venue. (First time saw my friends Jarred Band Any Direction play along with 30 other bands) I went with my friend Nick, his sister Rose, and her friends, who were pretty cool people. We were late from a wrong turn. The line was very long when we got there and we practically froze to death lol. A lot of people drew hearts with Kyo's name around it and for some reason the site www.downwithedetroit.com was something that was written all over Saint Andrews Hall lol.

So we finally get in. When patted down they ask Nick if his mp3 player was an explosive or if it could record video lmao. They also took Rose's car key chain away. So Fair To Midland was setting up. (Missed the opening band Bleed The Dream from waiting in line) They reminded me of 30 seconds to Mars with a hint of Screamo. The vocalist jumped around and swung his fists like he was having a seizure or something. He also had a patch of hair missing and on the bald spot was a tattoo symbol. During changes to different songs they had clips playing of trippy echoing voices to bidders bidding on something. Overall I didn't like them that much, but some of the crowd seem to. I am sure they will grow on me in the future.  Finally Fair To Midland set was over. Dir En Grey was next! A huge Drum Set was placed on Stage and then a long came all the Members of Dir En Grey and everyone cheered.

The crowd participation was amazing. Everyone was clapping and jumping around.  I Couldn't really sing a long since the music is in Japanese. There were moshing and crowd surfing going on in the front, but I was in the back, besides the place was overcrowded and to small to begin with, so I probably wouldn't of even bother to join. On stage the band had a screen behind them with clips of random things from a person having open surgery, a cartoon of a man crapping on a persons face, people bleeding from the mouth, the video for the song Saku, (Kid killing his parents and killing himself at the end), clips of other performances, to Pearl Harbor.  It was like watching something from "Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas". Very crazy stuff. I saw at least 4 people get carried away from I'm guessing either drug overdose, moshing, or heat exhaustion.

The Vocalist Kyo is one crazy mofo! On Stage he was hitting himself in the face and fish hooking his mouth, causing him to bleed all over. He also grabbed bottled water dumped on himself to cool off then out of nowhere grabbed a giant bucket of water,  with the words rape me on it, and put it over his head and hit it with his fist. (The bucket still on him.) Yes very crazy/Odd, but awesome to watch at the same time. You can tell by the screaming/growls and sadness of his voice the music is very emotional. The band walked off stage for a bit and everyone started stomping there feet and chanting Dir En Grey for a good 10 min. They came back out and played 4 more songs. The final song they played was in English and ended with a blood curdling breakdown of him screaming Fuck You! Over all Dir En Grey is very energetic, fun and put 110% in the show and music. First show I been to that's not a Music Festival and could very well be the best. Very insane, loud and Fun indeed!!! Souvenirs: Copy of Dir En Grey's Withering to Death, Signed Poster from the Bassist Toshiya and my Ticket stub. One more thing... a lot of people were very rude when walking through and just bumped into us without asking us to move at all. Only one person told me Excuse me.  I also saw a person with Pokémon tattooed all over his head.

After an amazing time at Ozzfest 2005, you bet I was coming back.  I almost had thrown away all the nu-metal, but I still liked System Of A Down, and a few Disturbed songs.  I was pretty much stuck in the Melodic Death/Metalcore stage, for I went mostly to see Bleeding Through, All That Remains, Between The Buried And Me, and Atreyu. So not much to write, except Ozzfest is always fun no matter who is playing. This is what I wrote after coming back from Ozzfest 2006.

Well here is another concert review. Ozzfest 2006!!! First of all THANKS FOR THE RIDE JESSICA!!!! My friends Josh and Jessica Phenix and her friend Pattie and I stayed at a hotel the night before the show and left around 8: am two hours before the show started. They changed the time of when the show was supposed to start. Instead of 11 a.m. it was 10 a.m... Well we were like the 200th person in line.  We were still pretty close the second stage being able to see the bands perfectly. This time I only watched the bands I wanted to see.

Between The Buried and Me: Openers for the Second stage. I have been a fan of them since there release of Alaska and there live performance blew me away. Five min into there set a Moshpit broke out. My friend Josh and I got caught up in it. I got knocked over and someone stepped on my leg. Josh got kicked by someone. I ended up with a huge bruise on my leg. I got up from when I fell over and jumped to a safe spot which turned out to be right up front of the second stage. I found out that the lead singer was also the keyboarder. He does and awesome job at vocals and keyboarding. At the end of Between The Buried and Me Set the band thanked everyone for showing up so early in the day.

All That Remains: I have wanted to see All That Remains live for a little while and I finally got the chance. They dominated the stage. Phil did an awesome job with the Vocals and was very full of energy. He was always interacting with the audience from sticking out his tongue and making weird faces while people were taking pictures with there cell phones, dedicating a song to all the females in the crowd, to making sure everyone was having fun. Everyone sung along with All That Remains through there whole set. At the end of the set Phil threw stuff out to the audience. One of the things happens to be a towel that he put down his pants. The funny thing is I saw people were fighting over it when he threw it out.

Full Blown Chaos: Someone beside me was talking to someone by them said that they were better than Hatebreed. So of course all of us had to check them out to see if they were good. Hell no, they weren't better than Hatebreed. They were not good at all. I almost walked away from there set. But decided no to so My friends and I didn't get split up. During the set The lead singer yelled out that this song was dedicated to all his ex-gf that he wanted to cut there heads off. He also dedicated a song to his mom that was dying of cancer; I thought that was nice to do. Talk about Bi-Polar. They also had everyone chant Dimebags name. During the set they asked the hardcore kids to two- step and then thanked everyone for coming.

Bad Acid Trip: A very lame band. They were like a heavier- weirder- rip off system of a down.  Watched a little bit of there set and then all of us decided to go and walk around to look at everything.

Walls Of Jericho: Michigan's very own hardcore band!  One of the best bands on the rotating slot if not the best. They got my attention very quick.  Candace is very good female vocalist, very crazy and very brutal. During Walls of Jericho we were all caught in between two Moshpits. My friend Josh pulled a girl out of the pit who fell in by accident. Candace had the crowd going insane. The band dedicated a song to all of us since we all live in Michigan and it is the bands home state. After there set I went and picked up there All Hail The Dead album and got in line to meet the band. I got to meet them and got my cd signed.  I told one of the members, they were probably the best band on the rotating slot on the second stage, and he grabbed my hand, and said "Fucking Right We Are". Very awesome people.

Norma Jean:  They didn't really fit in well, but I thought they were pretty good. Not much to write amount them just that they had a lot of energy and again were pretty good.

Bleeding Through: They kicked so much ass. From what I saw and heard, a lot of people were singing along to them, including me. Most of the time my eyes were on Bleeding Trough's keyboardist Marta. She was looking really good. I couldn't help but keep staring. Very full of energy. Just what I expected from them to do kick ass!!! Brandon owned on the vocals, hit the notes very well and had some decent size pits going. After the set I got my copy of the truth signed by them and got to meet/shake hands with them. I was very nervous I didn't know what to say to them, especially to Marta. I missed all of Unearth waiting to meet them and the opening of Atreyu, but hey it was damn well worth it. Very awesome and kind people they are.

Atreyu: Very awesome job. Had some moshing going.  I thought they would get booed, because while walking around some people were talking shit about them. Alex rocked out! Atreyu asked of us if we saw the movie underworld. Of course everyone replied yes and then they kicked in to the song from the Underworld soundtrack Her portrait in black. Close to the end of the set they the crowd choose either to play a new song or an old song by having the crowd scream for which one they wanted. Of course we all screamed for the older material. They ended there set with the signature song Lip-gloss in black.  I wanted to get signatures from them, but you had to buy there cd and I already own it and so I didn't bother. Pretty low if you ask me. After Atreyu we all went and got lunch and missed Black Label Society. I had already seen them from last year and none of my friends liked them so we skipped them for lunch. From what I heard while walking around BLS set list was very similar to last years. Only difference was being on Second Stage.

Dragonforce:  Big disappointment. I heard that these guys were mind blowing from reading stuff online about them, but sadly they were not. Let's just say they sound a lot like 80's Metal. Don't get me wrong I love Iron Maiden and I mean the guitar work by Dragonforce is really wicked, and they are very talented, it's just the Vocals were very horrible live and annoying.  But Maybe they will grow on me in the future.

Lacuna Coil: Let's just say I'm a fan now. I thought they were pretty amazing. Both vocalist sounded great. Not a lot of people seemed to be into them, but one thing for sure I was. They did a cover of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy The Silence" and did an excellent job at doing so. Cristina Scabbia is very gorgeous! Ended the set with there new song "Our Truth"!

Hatebreed: Fucking insane live. People that were walking in the ail just stopped and stared and no one could get through. People started just dropping over the railings to get back on the lawn. I ended up and ran into the people I met last year, in line; They thought I died or something, because we got split up last year and they were  worried about me and they asked me how I manage to survive. I thought it was funny. It was cool running into them again. After that I went up and watched on the lawn. Jamey Jasta did very well on all the songs. They had pits moving and were of course very full of energy. Probably the best hardcore band. Jamey thanked all of us keep the underground scene alive. Jamey also mentioned how he felt about Child molesters and child abuse, (since one of the songs was about fighting against it and trying to get it to stop.)  that instead of going to Prison for there crime they should all instead go straight to hell and burn! I totally agree with what he said. Close to the end of the set he introduced us to all the members in Hatebreed. Very awesome set!

A7x: Very huge disappointment. From what everyone said they rock live. Bull shit they do. The vocalists was off on some of the songs and really screwed up during Bat Country. No one seemed to be really into them until they did a tribute to Dimebag and Covered Walk. They did a good job on it, only because Bleeding Through's Vocalist Brandon helped out.

Disturbed: Decent live. David did pretty good on the vocals. Everyone went crazy when they played. I just loved the way David presented himself on stage. Whenever he talked he had like eerie music playing in the background. He was like god or something cause like everything he said everyone paid attention to what he had to say and Obeyed him. One comment I thought was funny from them is this "Thanks for keep hard rock and Metal alive every time it seems to start to fade away you people bring it back and keep it alive. One thing that seems to be in the way of it is that emo/screamo/retro whatever you want to call it shit, that sings  about cutting there wrists over there 14 year old girlfriend and then running away  on a skateboard thinking they are badass when they aren't needs to end! If you agree say fuck that shit!"  Of course everyone did. Disturbed had about 5 small pits going at once and one giant one that lasted through out there whole set. They played everyone one of there hits.

System of down: The Highlight of the day. I can't even describe in words how kick ass of a job they did live. Opening up with B.Y.O.B. They had about the same amount of Mosh pits that Disturbed did. A set list that lasted 90 min of pure comedy, chaos, fun, and tons of energy. Everyone loved them. They Played all the hits along with non-hit songs from the new albums and non-hits from the older ones. They had me laughing during some of there songs when they changed the lyrics around with non sense. For example I believe it was during Sugar, Serj said "I'm going to take some Ice Cream and shove it up your mom's ass." I couldn't help but laugh!  Very excellent Job I wouldn't mind seeing them live again. To bad they are going on Hiatus after Ozzfest.

Souvenirs: Ozzfest 2006 T-shirt, Walls of Jericho Signed Cd, Bleeding Through Signed Cd, and Ozzfest 2006 Summer Sampler.

Things That were annoying: The Prices were way higher this year. $4:50 for water and like 5 bucks for a slice of Pizza. The Hardcore dancing kung fu swing your arms around whatever crap was pathetic.  Moshing is way better.

This tour is what set the stage for me to become the Metal head I am today.  I was seriously scared for my life and didn't know what to expect.  I wasn't really familiar with Metal or any of the bands genres.  I looked up everything I could about the bands and listen to some of the music before going to the tour, and after seeing the bands, before I wrote this out.  I didn't want to sound stupid online or at Ozzfest.  Mudvayne was actually too heavy for me when I started listening to them at the start of 2005, that year.  I remember watching Arch Enemy and it just blew my mind it was a female on stage going all out Death Metal.   The only bands I really knew about were Rob Zombie, some of Mudvayne's stuff from L.D. 50 and stuff on the radio. For Black Sabbath, from listening on Classic Rock stations.  After this tour I pretty much got into Slipknot and Mudvayne and started exploring Metalcore, Hardcore, Melodic Death Metal, and classic Metal bands. This is exactly what I wrote out. Everything I wrote down back in 2005 is true and the subgenre's I found out before and after the show. Some of the explaining a little over dramatic, but still true.

My day at Ozzfest 2005 Thursday August 04 Clarkston Michigan DTE Energy Music Theater. I went alone. My dad dropped me off at 7 a.m. on his way to a business meeting he had to attend to. So I get in line I'm about the 8th person in line. A person in line kept asking if he could get my ticket off of me for a pack of cigarettes. And I'm like No way dude!!! So I'm standing there and I talked to some of the people that were in line before me. They started the line they were there since about 4 a.m. They were really cool people. They made some fun of me a little bit; when they found out I was a Linkin Park fan. One of the people with them said they would help me out if a Mosh Pit broke out cause of how small I am. I thought that was really cool! Anyways they finally open the gates and I run as fast as I can to get a good spot by the second stage. I did get an awesome spot like right behind the people who were right at the front. I could see the stage perfectly and could like touch any of the bands if they reached out to shake hands with the crowd. The only complain I really have were the prices are really high for food and t-shirts and stuff. And I didn't get to see Mastodon because they had a family emergency.

The Haunted opens up the Second Stage. These guys were full of energy. A very good opener for the Second Stage indeed to get the Ozzfest crowed to go insane first thing in the morning!!! They played new material from their new album rEVOLVEr. Songs that I recognized were "99" and "All Against All". The Haunted brought pure Sweden Thrash Metal to the Second Stage that had the crowd screaming for more! To bad the second stage bands only have a very limited time to play.

Next up was Bury Your Dead. Bury Your Dead tore up the Second Stage. Bringing threatening, intense, volatile Hardcore in the vein of Hatebreed, Killswitch Engage, and Pantera, they were brutal as hell and were full of energy. The lead singer Mat Brusco was jumping around like a maniac on stage. At the end of the set Mat had everyone participate in a 4 min chant that went like this "Bury Your Fucking Dead"!It was the first time I have ever heard them before and I became a fan.

After Bury Your Dead, Wicked Wisdom came on stage. The lead singer is married to Will Smith. Her name: Jada Pinkett Smith. You might remember her playing in the Matrix. As you can probably already tell this band must be horrible. They were pretty awful and some people were booing. Yeah their guitarist is good, but the style the vocalist brought is not for me. You could tell by the way the audience was acting that not a lot of people liked them. Not to be racist or anything, but one thing I thought was funny is there is only one white guy in the band and the rest were black.

It Dies Today: I heard someone behind me say that some shitty Emo band called It Dies Today was up next and that they don't belong on Ozzfest. Hell yeah they do. I really wouldn't call them Emo there more like Hardcore. It Dies Today had Mosh pits going on that were pretty brutal. The vocalist yelled out to everyone "Everybody start moving, if the mother fucker right next to you is not moving make them move." Everyone just went crazy after he said that. I had at quite a few  people get slammed into my back.

A person that was falling went to pull me up for leverage and didn't realize how small I was and he ended up and pulled me with him right into a pit. I almost got elbowed right in the face and I jumped out of the pit as fast as I could. It was a good size pit. When I looked back I saw a person with blood gushing from his nose. The craziness started to die down during there set and then the band had everyone jump together through the rest of the set. Very good performance. I would have loved to see the face of the guy who was calling them shitty.

Gizmachi: I first heard about this band from hard drive radio. They are signed to Clown of Slipknots record company Big Orange Clown. I didn't really know what to expect from them live.  They were pretty decent. The lead vocalist did all the screaming and then the guitarist sung all the melodic parts of the song mainly the chorus. During the set it started to rain for a little bit. The crowd patrol started putting on rain ponchos. The Vocalist made fun of the security for putting on rain ponchos and yelled out "The Ozzfest audience isn't afraid of no rain are we?!  Overall they were ok and from what I saw there were quite a few people that liked them.

Next up was Sweden Metal Masters Soilwork. These guys are Phenomenal live. The vocalist has such an awesome vocal range, able to hit high notes as well as being able to pull off death metal growls and screams that seem impossible. It was truly amazing.  Ozzfest loved Soilwork. Everybody joined along in all there songs. In the middle of the set the pits started moving and everyone just went crazy. I became a huge fan after seeing them.

Arch Enemy's curtain dropped with their logo and name and everyone behind me just started chanting Arch Enemy! This was the first time for me ever hearing them and I was amazed at how much fan base they had.  I couldn't believe that the vocalist was a female. It was kind of scary seeing her pull of the death metal growls and screams. The guitarist is pretty kick ass and pretty crazy on stage. Angela put some of the bands vocalist on the second stage to shame!

Trivium busted out onto the stage and my first reaction was HOLY SHIT ARE THEY YOUNG! They must have just gotten out of high school at least 4 years ago. They pulled off some impressive guitar solos. The vocalist is pretty amazing live. They had some huge moshing going on and were always interacting with everyone. During the set the band gave the crowd patrol a run for their money by having tons of people crowd surf. You could tell on the faces of some of the crowd patrol that they didn't appreciate it that much.  At the end of the set Trivium revealed that they were going to be on tour with Children Of Bodom and then bowed before everyone. After seeing and hearing them the very first time I Immediately became a fan of them.

The Black Dahlia Murder: Michigan's very own Metal Maniacs. Very brutal! The lead singer screeches and yelps were way too intense for me at the time. I didn't really like them that much, but from the peoples reaction they seemed to like them a lot. The vocalist Trevor never stopped jumping around the stage. The pits were going crazy again. More people slammed into me. During the set I saw someone who was crowd surfing get dropped right on there head. It seemed like it hurt when you heard him land, but he just got up like nothing happen. If you're a fan of intense screeching then they are for you.

A Dozen Furies put on a fun show to watch.  Some people were criticizing them by that they were posers, because of being on Battle for Ozzfest MTV show.  The guitarist jumped into the crowd twice to crowd surf and kept playing his guitar while doing it. Marc the bassist for some reason kept spitting in the air, looking down really quick while playing bass, and then looked up and kept catching his spit. The Vocalist jumped down while singing to where the Crowd Patrol were standing and reached out and shook hands with some of us really quick and then hurried up and jumped back on stage. I got really lucky and got to shake hands with him. At the end of the set a dozen furies told us that they wanted to meet all us motherfuckers and that they would be by the FYE Tent and Jaqier meister tent drinking. Sadly I didn't get to meet them for I wanted to see what As I lay Dying was like.

As I lay Dying was alright to me. The lead vocalist screamed his ass off while the guitarist, just like Gizmachi sang the chorus. A lot of hardcore dancing or whatever you call it was going on during the set a long with a little bit of moshing. A lot of people were singing along to them. I wasn't to into them for some reason. I don't know, just didn't like the style they brought. It is pretty cool that a Christian Metalcore band played at Ozzfest. I left early before they were done to go to the bathroom, grab some food really quickly, and bought me an Ozzfest 2005 t-shirt.

Killswitch Engage was freaking Phenomenal. Howard Jones is such a kick ass front man. He was Very full of energy, and always talking to the audience. This was the first time hearing material by them other than the song End Of Heartache. The guitarist Adam kept making weird comments about (please mind my language) pussy and peanut butter and running around like a lunatic on stage. Howard Jones yelled out to everyone So I heard from Trivium you guys love to crowd surf well start it back up. And so everyone did and went crazy doing it. So much crowd surfing the crowd patrol could barely keep up with it. They had to get more patrol to help out. These guys put enough Emo into there Metal. Proof in that is I saw a couple girls, with tears streaming down there face, singing a long to "End Of Heartache". Towards the end of the set a huge moshpit broke out the biggest pit at the second stage. At the very end Howard thanked everyone for coming out and seeing all the underground acts.

Rob Zombie I can't even describe how kick ass he was. It was good seeing Rob Zombie back after being gone for over three years working on the films house of a thousand corpses and the devils rejects. On stage with him was Ex- Marilyn Manson Guitarist John 5, Alice Cooper's drummer Tommy Cluefetos and The Bass player I have no idea who he was, but he was good. Rob opened up with Super beast. Playing all the hits from his albums, like "Living Dead Girl, to "Feel So Numb", and some White Zombie classic hits. Of course everyone sang along to all the songs and did what Rob Zombie asked us to do from jumping up and down to the songs to clapping along. During the set Rob talked about the past of watching Hardcore Punk shows, to the days with White Zombie opening up for Pantera. Rob Zombie ended with More Human Than Human. Very awesome set list.

In Flames: very good opener for the Main stage. First time actually listening to them. They didn't get the recognition they deserved from the people watching, but they did an amazing job. Some people behind me were complaining that they didn't play enough old material. Who cares! They for sure can they rock out live! I of course became a fan.

Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society of course without question did an amazing job. Zakk Wylde is such a kick ass guitarist I am sure many of you reading this already know that he is and also already know he is Ozzy Guitarist for his solo career. Zakk did some jaw dropping guitar solos and played new material from his album Mafia, and songs I have never heard before from his older albums. Over all Zakk did a damn good job.

Shadows Fall owned the Main stage. Playing new stuff from the War Within and older songs that I never heard before since I just found about them like couple weeks before Ozzfest 2005 was announced. Brian Fair did the vocals really well. It was cool watching him run around on stage with his long hair dreads swinging around all over the place. Everyone loved them and sang along through there whole set. I only sang a long with the songs I knew. There was a little pit of moshing going on during the set also. At the ending Brain yelled out this is for 10 years of music from Shadows Fall and everyone Roared and he also was thankful for being able to play on the Main stage with Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. And then he said up next is the Mighty Mudvayne everyone screamed.

Mudvayne destroyed the Main stage. Opening with Determined the lawn was like flooded with pits. It was truly an amazing sight to see. After Determined Chad was like so How the fuck is Detroit Metal City! The hardcore Mudvayne fans went fucking insane. Being a fan myself I to went crazy. Chad Grey was insane to watch on stage.  It was awesome watching him scream his ass off and jump around like a lunatic He was also very interactive with the audience asking questions like "how many of us were drunk?", "how many of us were high?, or "how many of us were both drunk and high".. Everyone knew all the lyrics and joined in the whole time. They played songs from all the albums. The songs I can remember are Death Blooms Not Falling Forget To Remember World So Cold Happy Internal Primates IMN and of course they ended with there signature hit DIG which brought on the biggest pit of the day. Of all the bands Mudvayne had the biggest and longest pits. A very spectacular performance indeed! Sucks to be you!

Iron Maiden The only thing to say is they are Metal Gods. They bleed Metal. Playing all the hits from the first four Maiden albums I think they beat the Sabbath performance that night. That is hard to say since I have been into Sabbath and Ozzy ever since I was a kid listening to them with my father. Bruce was wild that night. When they brought out there Corpse Mascot Eddie everyone went insane. It was so cool to see Eddie on stage. He was huge. Bruce pretended to be attacked by him and swung at him with a guitar and Eddie fell over defeated. Very cheaply done, but it was entertaining and funny at the same time. At the start of the song trooper Bruce ran out with a British Flag and ended (Since there from Britain and that is what the song is about a British solider.) up falling face first right on the stage. Everyone laughed. Over all the performance was mind blowing and was very cool to see a band that came out way before my time.

The Original Black Sabbath the highlight of the day for everyone! Another band that were Gods of Metal! They practically were the ones who invented heavy metal. Ozzy can still kick ass even being almost into his 60s. They all did very good playing all the hits. Everyone sang along the whole entire time and held up their lighters. I felt kind of awkward not having a lighter since I don't smoke so I asked the guy in front of me if he had an extra one and he gladly handed it to me. It's good to see that the inventers of Metal can still kick ass!!! Opening the set with NIB and playing Iron Man, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sweet Leaf, Fairies Wear Boots, Black Sabbath, War Pigs, The Wizard, and ended the set with Paranoid, (Those are the songs I can remember that they played that I knew.) but then everyone demanded an encore and they all came out again and played one more song Children Of The Grave. At the end of the set Ozzy told everyone to drive home safely and not to drive drunk. I was shocked this came out of his mouth because you know its Ozzy. A very memorable performance, that I will remember the rest of my life! Thank you Ozzy, Bill, Toni, and Geezer for starting the whole Metal Scene!

My very first concert! I remember waiting forever for it to come I was so excited.  At this point in time Linkin Park to me was the only band that mattered.  Now days, not so much, still respect them, just don't listen to them as much, a long with Korn.  I did become a huge Nine Inch Nails and Pink Floyd fan later on and still am.  This was when I learned that listening to a variety of music was important and not to just listen to one band or genre.  This is actually how I wrote it out, when I first wrote it 4 years ago, (well I corrected the errors with spelling, but you get the point.) I was very ecstatic after the show.

This was the first year that Projekt Revolution became an actual festival and I got to go!   Here is what happened at the show that I went to.  The show that I went to was in Clarkston Michigan at the DTE Energy Music Theater.   It was about a 3-hour drive to get there.   We finally get there and we stand in line for what seem like hours (actually it was 45 min to an hour) and they let us through.   First they scanned our tickets and then patted us down then we walked through the metal detectors and they took our water.  Apparently we weren't supposed to bring in our own water, which I thought was stupid, but oh well what could I do about it.   So finally we get in and the second stage opens with the hardcore band downset.

They were an ok band.   I watched them for a little while, then my dad and I went to the stairs, which led to the main stage.  We were the first ones in line.   I wanted to go back to watch the other bands but I looked behind me and there were hundreds of other people behind in line so I was like no way am I going back now.  So my dad and I (while waiting there) talked to two guys that were crowd patrol.   They were very cool people.  The one guy decided to go check to see what was up because the main stage was suppose to open about 4 pm and it was almost 4:30 and he tells my dad don't move cause once you start moving the other people will.   So my dad listens to the guy and he comes back and tells my dad thanks and let's us in. My dad and I run as fast as we can to get a good spot on the lawn and I looked behind me and it was like a battlefield the way people were running in.   So we get our spots and that is when Less Than Jake opens up the main stage.

Wow, are they full of energy.  They were like jumping tics on stage they never stopped moving and were always being interactive with the audience by throwing stuff off stage to the fans, encouraging people to dance to some of the songs and during one of there songs, the lead vocalists/guitarist jumped off stage and was running around the pavilion while playing his guitar which I thought was sweet.  The vocalist said, after playing a few songs, t "Yeah we just got back from touring in Europe there were so many fat chicks it was unbelievable". "Damn are we glad to be back in the States!" It was kinda funny.  Less Than Jake played about a 15-30 min set.

Next up was The Used.  This band was cool and as energetic as Less Than Jake. Bert, the vocalist for The Used was always interacting with the audience.   Bert did this thing with us called the wave where people from the back on up stuck up there middle fingers and it kind of looked like a wave and Bert pretended to be hit by it and fell over.   The Used played about a 15 min set, which were about 5 songs, which I thought, was a little disappointing, but at least they played some new material.

Snoop Dogg. He played a decent set I believed he played 40-45 minuets.   Playing classics like Gin and Juice and performing a rock track I believed was called "Foolin yaself".  The audience went crazy when he performed.   I had chicks wanting to use my binoculars to see him over and over.  After one of his songs, snoop asked "who has got the chronic I smell some chronic in here". Just a little before his set was over he let some girls on stage and gave them all back stage passes.   Probably the only reason snoop let them in, was because they were hot.  After Snoop ended he asked everybody to go out and vote for the 2004 presidential elections and after he said that he wanted everyone to sing along with him and the tune went like this: Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, hey hey, hey, Snoop Dogg!   Next up was Korn!

Korn opened up with "Right Now", mosh pits started to flood the lawn.   It was crazy!  They played most of their hits, which included Shoots and Ladders/Metallica's One, "Got the Life", "Y'all wanna single"? "Here to stay", "Did my time", "Freak on a leash", "Falling away from me", "Twist/A.D.I.D.A.S.", Pink Floyds "Another Brick in the wall" and ended with there signature hit "Blind".  They played about an hour set.  When they ended they showed pictures of each of the band members on the screens and said here is for another 10 more years of Korn and the crowd cheered.   After seeing them live I became a fan.  I am glad I got to see them live, especially being around 10 years, and still having the same members.

Next is my favorite band of all time Linkin Park. The Set list is below they played a total of 17 tracks.  This band is amazing live if you have not seen them live yet this is a must! They opened up with Don't Stay. A little bit after that they played "Lying from you" and the mosh pits started up again.   During "Runaway", Linkin Park asked us to jump with them and everyone was jumping.  When I was jumping I almost fell, the hill was steep.   I had like at least 15 girls that wanted to use my binoculars constantly so they could drool over Chester.  During the Step Up song DJ Z-trip came on and did some break dancing. And this is where I found out Chester played guitar. He played all the way through "It's Goin Down"  One of the funniest things that I heard is Mike telling a story about how a friend got kicked out of a strip club for being drunk and stupid and he dedicated song to them, I believe it was during the song "figure 9".

During "Faint", Bert from The Used came out a screamed the chorus with Chester. "Breaking The Habit" was performed really well. They added a new piano intro to the opening. During the song, Linkin Park had the video of "Breaking the habit" being played on a giant screen. While they were playing "In the End" Chester and Mike stopped and said "we are astonished that you guys are still singing your lungs out after being here already for over five hours! Keep it up!"   Then they continued the song where they left off, which was the bridge where Chester sings.  After "In the End", they pretended it was the last song and the lights went out on the stage and everything got quite. Some people even started walking away. That is when the violin intro for crawling started up and the audience went nuts.   After "Crawling", Linkin Park started up the song "Wish" a Nine Inch Nails song.

They did an amazing job on this song. I have seen some live performances on TV, online, and DVD of Linkin Park and Chester always goes crazy.   When he did the Nine Inch Nails cover it was the craziest I have seen him perform. Jumping up and down, running on the stage and screaming his lungs out. During the song, Mike was like "You should know the words by now if not just go crazy and pretend to". After that song it was Linkin Parks, final song for this performance. Ending with their signature hit "One Step Closer". During the reanimation bridge they had some fire works shooting off the stage and Jonathan Davis of Korn appeared to sing along. At the end they told everyone "thanks for coming" and that "they loved all there fans" and had the best fans in the world.  The booths and the food were excellent it was actually affordable.   A souvenir that I bought before I left was a Projekt Revolution 2004 t-shirt, with all the bands and tour dates on it. The Variety of music was pretty awesome too.

First of all thanks to Steven Brown, Lafey Blain Wesly Berger, Amanda, Nick Saxton, Darren Bart, Justin and Josh Phenix, and everyone else who showed up. Thanks for coming out! It was a bunch of Fun!

So we had a lan party. Not really a big one, but had about 16 players, 3 xbox 360's and one X-box. Nobody really showed up till about 5. So before that played some old school Nintendo. Then My friend Steve Brown Stopped over, So we were just filming random stuff, followed a random car for awhile (Didn't know who flipped us off so we followed found out later it was our friend Shane Hess lol), and Decided to pull a prank on our friend Wesly Berger. A fake kidnapping of his gf. Masters mostly behind the plan were Steve, Lafey Blain. and I tagged a long to help out. We drove quickly to get gas and then parked in the woods.

Lafey called Wesley Gf cell phone and told her to play a long. She pretended she had to go back home and jumped in the car. So she she left her hoodie on the road to make it look like she was kidnapped or something. The whole time we just filmed this whole fake kidnapping movie. The lines were very horrible, but it was still funny. The whole time we were on the other side of the lake. We could see all the others walking. So we decide to head pack and put Amanda in the trunk. We we back to house and they asked us if we knew where amanda was that her hoodie was found on the road. We just told them that we were filming bunch of stupid stuff and played dumb. Wes was pretty worried. So we popped the flim in the VCR and showed everyone the fake kidnapping lmao

After that Justin and Josh Phenix Showed up and Eventually a whole bunch of others. We played Halo 2 for awhile. Person who won the most of course was Justin lol. So then after awhile of Halo decided to go outside where Steve and I were fired upon by Paint Balls. We hid behind my dad's tractor. I took off around the lake. I had no paint ball gun to protect myself or no armor. So I get back and Steve and Lafey, and I devise a plan to get back at them. The plan was to have Lafey fire fake shots and have me run down the road where they would still fire shots and then pick me up. Then we would drive back around and fire at them unexpectingly. So everyone goes out to Start a Mosh pit. We moshed a bit to some Static-X. I wanted Slayer, but wasn't my stereo lol (Justin's Stereo system kicks ass!)

Thats when I was fired upon by my brother and Wesly. I was confused, cause that wasn't supposed to be part of the plan so it got kinda scrwed up. So I ran down the road and Steve and Lafey picked me up. I hid in the back seat. Pulled back in the Driveway and they told everyone that I was in the woods and to ambush me. So all of them went into the woods. We pulled up around them. *Mind you they didn't know Lafey was going to fire on them We ran into them in the woods and fired shots. I was filming. Then we had Lafey hide in the Trunk and open fire on My brother and Darren and then a whole paint ball battle eurupted. This went on for about almost 2 hours. Steve's car was loaded with shots lmao

After that washed off the Car and we all piled in Steve's car to get some pizza. Steve was kind enough to pay for it. It was a chlostrophobic person's worse nightmare lol. The car barely fits four and we had 6. Got back ate the pizza. Steve left and then we played some old school Duck Hunt. The next day everyone was gone Except for Lafey and Wesly. So we just did a whole bunch of random stuff from running into the bath room and attacking lafey while he was taking a crap, watching the neighbors a Cheaply made outside Garage to keep the cars out of the rain( its like built with aluminium and had like tarp on it) get blown by the wind, causing it to fly up in the air and snap a power line ,causing there power and our power to go out for a bit, more paint balling, to april fool jokes on people! End.

The guy making the film ate only mcdonalds for like 30 days and it was making his liver shut down and stuff. Im not even going to mention how they make there mcnuggets. After watching a movie like this I don't know if I ever want to eat at fast food ever again!
