MNEMIC just published the lyrics to the recently released song "March Of The Tripods" which comes off their upcoming stunning new masterpiece Sons Of The System.

Mainman Mircea Gabriel Eftemie writes:

"'March Of The Tripods' is one of the slowest songs we have ever done, I think. The first time we've put the song together, it felt really different to play. The focus was more put on the atmosphere, in stead of technicality or speed. It shows a different side of the band, one that is more rock and melody inspired, but also portrays the state we are in today as musicians. I would definitely love to continue with this style, and do a lot more experiments on the next record, as this is probably one of my favorite songs of the new album. Lyric wise its pretty much inspired by H.G. Wells novel "The War Of The Worlds," about an alien invasion on earth."

Listen to the track on the bands MySpace music player!
Read the lyrics below:

MARCH OF THE TRIPODS
(Lyrics: Mircea Gabriel Eftemie & Guillaume Bideau)

Do you feel the machines coming
Do you feel the storm rising
Because they're coming
I feel them rising
It feels like it's about to happen

I can breathe the smell of blades of steel
I can see their light but it's not that clear
Because they're watching
I feel them staring
I feel them staring at us
It feels like it's about to happen

Change is about to happen
It feels more like I am dying
This black hole leaving me hopeless
Leaving me hopeless

I'm not made of wires
I'm not made of others
You try to synchronize me
You try to synchronize me
The locust is just too far away
While the tripods are marching
I am made of wires
I am made of others
Now I'm made of wires

Did you feel the machines coming
Did you feel the storm rising
Because now they're reigning
We're suffocating
We're suffocating alone

It feels like it has just happened

MNEMIC - LAUNCH NEW MYSPACE with NEW TRACK, LYRICS and iTUNES SINGLE!

Danish modern metal heroes MNEMIC have just uploaded a brand new design to their MySpace page in anticipation of the release of their newest effort, Sons Of The System, due on January 15, 2010 (Europe) and January 26, 2010 (North America)!

The recently released new song "Diesel Uterus" is available for streaming on the bands MySpace page, and lyrics for the track can be viewed here.

MNEMIC also just revealed the cover artwork for the exclusive iTunes single "Diesel Uterus" due on January 8, 2010!

The following versions will be available:

EUROPE
01. Diesel Uterus
02. Sons Of The System (LEAETHER STRIP Remix)

USA:
01. Diesel Uterus
02. Orbiting (LEAETHER STRIP Remix)

Commented mainmain Mircea Gabriel Eftemie:

"'Diesel Uterus' is probably one of the heaviest songs in terms of tuning.  We still maintained the brutality but mixed it with some really beautiful melodies that can be heard in the chorus.  The vocals had lot of room to unfold as heard in the chorus and throughout the song.  It is mid-tempo pretty much all the way, and the middle part - or c-section if you will - becomes rather progressive and more melodic than the chorus.

"The lyrics are about the way technology has changed our way of living.  Everybody is dependent on digital devices, mobile phones, computers and especially the internet. If we have Google Earth, what does the military have?  Are we safe at all?  And is abundance of information a good thing?  Definitely good, if you know how to avoid the bad things.  The main point is that we should adapt to technology in a correct and balanced way.  In reality, we do waste a lot of time.  An aspect of the internet is that we end up watching the world most of the day through a screen. It is definitely a heavy topic that requires debate and a heavy song!"

DIESEL UTERUS
(Lyrics: Mircea Gabriel Eftemie)

Adrenaline rising, twisting and crawling
Implanted inside, this chemical imbalance turns us to lifeless puppets
March in hordes, assembled as components for the new world
Screenlines dancing in our eyes
Our lives, dying in our arms
Senses bypassed by this corruption, we're all born in a diesel uterus
This chemical imbalance is telling me there is no end
A digital venom strangling the world
Screenlines dancing in our eyes
Our lives, dying in our arms
Screenlines dancing in our eyes
Our lives, dying in our arms
My dreams my believes dictated
Read your revelation from this scorched earth
Pray for your new god
Salvation is only a word
Screenlines dancing in our eyes
Our lives dying in our arms
Screenlines dancing in our eyes
Our lives dying in our arms
