It's been shot!

After a grueling 17 hour day (and a conversation in the diner on Curtain Rd. which ended up with 6 of the 7 people on the table trying to explain the uses for gash and cunt, and how they can't be used in quite the same context although both primarily describing the same part of the female genitalia to a lady who's first language is Dutch) we finished the shoot at around 11.30pm last night and it was hands down the best shoot to date.

There was a massive cast, a crazy mix of people and a whole lot of fun on set.

I would really like to try and explain the premise of the video but it'd be really hard to without it sounding crazy. In fact I think I'll just say it was crazy and leave it at that!

Everyone outdone themselves performance wise, both the people in front of and behind the camera.

I'm sooooooo excited to see the first cut which I should have in 10 days, but look out for the teasers some time over the next week!

For now you'll have to make do with a few pics which you can see HERE.

Blessings!

Green.

Ello!

Wa blow mother fuckers!!!???

Apologies, that was a bit excited. How is everyone??

It's been a while so I thought I'd give you a quick run down on whats been crackalacking of late.

Last week Haydon and I headed down to Koko's for Lily Allen's first gig in nearly 2yrs, and it was wicked! She looked stunning on stage in her shiny shorts, her vocals were bang on point and she enjoyed it along with everyone else in the building.

After the show we hit up a random kebab shop in Camden, then made our way to the after party on Curtain Rd. It was in a gallery, which was pretty trippy. The imagery on the walls kinda made you feel like you were on drugs, without being on drugs. deep.

I've not been drinking due to an on going kidney problem I've had since before new years (boo hoo) and Haydon's taking it easy to due to all the abuse we've put ourselves through over the years... that said the free bar was far to tempting and Red Bull Cola + Spiced Rum tastes awfully good.

Two drinks later the kidney pains screamed stop drinking so I did.

We met both Lily and Mark Ronson for the first time, both pleasant people, bumped into some old mates, wandered around for a bit, took pictures with the cyber dog and then made our exit.

If I'd of stayed any longer I couldn't have been held responsible for my actions which would have entailed more drinking and definitely some narcotics.

Thursday I headed down to Brixton Academy to see Mike perform and for a family reunion. This was all cut short as was the electricity... nothing but emergency lights. A trek from east, to south via west, and then vice versa for not very much. Lovely.

Friday saw an early start. I met with my manager and the dirctor of the soon to be filmed Hard Night Out video to discuss a few things. I had a coffee before I got on the central line, then had a coffee during the meeting. When I left the meeting I was wired. It felt gooood.

From one meeting to another, via Size where I bought these:

The next meeting was with Chris who's kindly jumped on board for the video to help with the styling. We headed down to Exposure where Sophie gave me free Levi's. Two pairs I absolutely love and one pair (of Levi Red's) which i love but I can't fit past my shins as they're a medium and meant for someone with much skinnier shins than me. I do not do skinny.

Saturday I was again up and awake bright an early.

I bumped into Manny Norte on Oxford St. and did a quick interview, I'm saying no more about that, just keep your eyes peeled for the video of it! After that I got dragged into two American Apparel stores while Sophie tried to find knee high socks,

then we made our way to Shystie's video shoot for 'Pull It' @ Hackney Empire.

Shortly after our belly's started grumbling and so we made our way to Dalston to hit up 'In Ting' to feed ourselves some Jerk Chicken. Yum.

Thats about it for now... but I'll be back shortly.

Wishing you all well,

Green

Hello!

A bit of a weird request I know, but should I find a dwarf all will become clear shortly...

So people, if anyone knows a dwarf who wouldn't mind pinching the bum of a very very fine lady, let me know!!

Ello!

Before the festivities began I did an interview for the biggest newspaper in Sweden (selling a million + copies).

We went for a walk around my old estate and area then sat down in the cafe next to the green grocers where my dad once worked.

The interview was cool and has since gone to press. It's also been posted online, not that it helps me at all as I can't read it!

You can check it out here: http://www.dn.se/DNet/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=2198&a=869590

If anyone can read it and has a spare hour or two I'd love a translation ;p

Much love,

Happy new year!

I saw mine in with a kidney infection, so unfortunately for once I have no stories of debauchery to tell you...

But we are shooting a video for Hard Night Out soon which will be absolutely not allowed on tv, and only just allowed on youtube so look out for that one!

There are going to be a lot of green releases this year to more than make up for my absence in the last 18 months.

I'm getting the hang of this whole Facebook thing and have a music page over there with rare songs / remixes / features i've done and also the wall where you can all post and talk to me.

It's also a good place to upload any pics you've taken with / of me over the years.

Come join me by clicking here and then becoming a 'fan'.

Much love, and I'll be back shortly with some new music,

Green.

Hello!

Its been a while, apologies.

I went to South Africa, came back, and have been busy doing... stuff.

I also went to see Adele on Saturday. I ran into that slag mandy a little while before adele came on so its safe to say I REALLY enjoyed the show.

Adele was wicked and she's lovely to top it off. A propa gem! I can't wait to hear her new material so i can steal another song to remix ;p

She sent me a lovely message saying how much she liked what I did with her song which I was absolutely flattered by! Not many artists at her level would take the time out to do that...

I'm not the biggest fan of this time of year for a few reasons i won't bore you with, but I can't wait to get stuck into 2009. There's a LOT happening on the music front that should more than make up for my absence in the first three quarters of 2008.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

I'm back in 2009.

Blessings,

yup yup!

i've been getting lots of questions regarding hard night out, so i thought i'd chuck both versions up for your listening pleasure.

talking of hard nights out i ventured out to the loft at the o2 on saturday to meet and see perform a new up and coming girl band called the bang bangs.

upon arriving at the o2 i found out sadly there had again been violence at the urban music awards (a lady was caught by a stray in barbican after the 2004 event). this time a 27yr old male had been stabbed in the neck and was in critical condition, two other men were also stabbed.

its a real shame because despite what reasons there may have been for the violence, its certainly going to lead to anyone with a cheque book looking the other way once more when it comes to urban music.

along with behavior, also questionable is the security lapse. every time i've been to the o2, at any of the several venues (bar the cinema) i've been patted down and scanned by those hand held metal detectors. perhaps if corners are going to be cut, security at an urban event isn't a good place to start.

moving on, i had a pretty good night despite the constant house music. i think i liked two songs in an entire evening. also, i've never seen so many people, on seperate occasions get kicked out of one club. i'm not sure why they have a 'vip' area at the loft either. weird club, not really to great if i'm honest. i even saw a group of guys steal a tray full of sweets while the toilet attendant was out of the room all the while covering theirselves in every type of aftershave by the sink. the maturity you find in people these days is absolutely amazing!

i'm just pissed i didn't get a chupa chups.

the bangbang's performed and were really good. they were all really sweet girls and i'm going to be working with them in the future. i'm definitely gonna take them away from their normal sound and get them on something hard!

here's some pics from the night:

haydon, myself, bradley and the lovely bangbangs:

this guy was, after the bangbangs the highlight of the evening.
definitely original, haven't seen this in a club before!

not so original:

perhaps i should give up rap and be a photographer? perhaps not:

the bangbangs in action:

more action:

random girls. hold tight the cu, i mean lovely young lady blocking me out of the pic, you time!

for those of you who share my love for music, this might make sense.

those of you who don't might think i'm weird.

you wouldn't be wrong.

have you ever been to a rave / house party / festival, drug influenced or not, and felt that vibe?

the one that even the most articulate would have trouble putting into words.

everything is right. ecstasy. without ecstasy, or enhanced with.

your favourite rapper or band. your favourite riddims being spun by a dj in quick succession. you feeling at one with it all, with everybody, and with the music.

no care for how you look. no attention towards anyone or anything other than the music.

being completely caught in the moment.

with a smile from ear to ear, a screw your face bass expression or blank in awe.

a feeling of absolute euphoria,

after which you make your way home ears still ringing, clamber into bed and pass out only to wake up with only the memories of what felt so good but being unable to recapture that feeling.

a come down worse than any drug, yet its made only more valuable by its temporariness.

here's to good vibrations.
