I just released my newest non profit mixtape entitled "Deceive".  I worked harder on the actual concept and overall layout of the whole mixtape than anything else, but once again their are some hot tracks on there.  I hope that you will get the chance to download, and listen to it.  Maybe, even encourage your friends to download, and listen to it as well.  Feel free to burn copies and give em out to a million people.  By all means please do so.

Now, that I have gotten all that out of the way I would like to move onto the subject at hand.  That is myself and my future in music.  I have changed a lot over the years and so has my music.  I went from doing it for fun, to trying to make it a career.  I love music, I love making music, and I love making people happy.  Hopefully I have made some happy with my music which is my ultimate goal.  With that said.. PLAYBOY is no more!  I have decided after a long time of deliberating that I should drop the stage name which is Playboy.  When I think of the name Playboy.. I think of fun, energetic, and friendly.  Unfortunately, when some people hear the name it gives them another impression.  An impression which is not true to my music nor myself as an individual.  I want to be treated serious and I want to come across as professional.  So after I thought and thought about what I should do with this situation I have come to this conclusion.  I will be changing my stage name to my real name which is

JOHN GEE

For those that know me personally you know me as John Langston.  Quick story to explain that is this.  My father changed his last name to his mother's maiden name before I was born making me a "Langston".  Gee is supposed to be my last name.  I am too old and already have a child with the last name langston, so I feel that this is one way to pay respects to my grandfather and my family by using this name in my music career.

Okay, so that bombshell is out of the way.  SO where from here you ask?  It is simple.  I am going to move on with my career with a more defined sound than ever.  A pop based hip hop with top knotch production and song integrity.  Not much different than some of the music I have already made.  I hope that all of you guys that enjoy my music will follow me along for the ride.  I am hoping to release my debut album in December which will be ten times hotter than these non profit mixtapes.  I will be launching my own website and a new myspace.  The new myspace page will be coming soon.  I will have it on here the information needed to add my new page.  I hope that you will do so and jump back on this bandwagon.  I will also be performing AS MANY shows AS POSSIBLE soon too.  SO if you would like to see me peform live I will let you know what you need to do to make that happen.  I thank you all for your time.  I thank you for your dedication.  I thank you for your support.  I thank you for sticking with me from day one.  So TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN!!

It has been a while since my last blog, so I felt that now was a good time to blog you all up on what's going on.  My life has changed for the better over the past 6 months, and I will say that this particular fork in the road has been the best one to date.  It was actually fairly simple to come to my decision and move forward from where I was.  I hope you guys enjoy the music-I always aim to please.  My "Deceive" Mixtape will be dropping on May the 24th, and it will be available for free download once again using zshare.  As of right now my last release ("Believe") has been downloaded 303 times.  I was hoping for slightly better numbers, but I will not complain to the strong support I have received from you guys.  I love all the feedback that has been given, and I appreciate all the support that has been shown.  I hope that you guys can find the time to download my next release, and maybe even tell all your friends to download it as well.  The mixtape will have some familiar faces on some tracks and a few new ones too.  I worked hard to stay within the concept of the mixtape and at the same time give the catchy up tempo bangers you guys love to bump in your car ray-diddy-o's.  I have some big plans and big changes coming in the near future with my music.  My music has evolved right along side my well being and it is truly been with the greatest of blessings.  I may not be the most talented out there.  I may not have the most potential.  But!  I love music, I love making music, and I love people that are kind enough to give my music a chance.  What are these big changes you ask.......  I can not answer at this juncture... all I can say is stay tuned.  When the finale airs, and I'm laying in the e.r. with my life hanging in the balance..... don't leave me for dead!  I will come back stronger than ever!  So hop in and ride down this road with ME!

I don't know how bad you want it, but I want it pretty bad.  We all have something that we are trying to accomplish in life that helps us get to that next level.  For me it is my music.  I have been making music for 7 years now, and I don't see it coming to an end.  Call it determination or retardation whatever you would like.  I have been working on my latest song and project for the past 6 months.  This coming from a guy that can pop a good song out in a matter of hours.  Why..  I wanted it to be perfect, and you may not agree with me.. but I think it's pretty m-effin close.  I have invested a lot of money, i have invested time, and I have invested my heart.  I do not know what your trials and tribs are in life but I'm sure you want to make it pretty bad.  So we may differ in our routes but not our destination.  So if you would like to help my strides.  And if you like my new song "Boogie Oogie".  Then call and request it on your local radio station.  When they tell you they don't have it.. ask them why the hell not and tell them to get it.  Then just call in every hour on the hour and bug the shiii.. out of them haha.  So yeah, I want it pretty Bad!!
