Monday night saw the Ul music Society battle of the bands. 14 bands. 7 prizes. 1 winner and some losers. pure madness for 5 hours. it was needed. I've never seen so many screaming students shouting for free condoms. odd. so many people on a terrible trip to hangover central. delirious with drunkenness. another round theyd shout. keep them coming. im not one to stop them. i joined them. bad craziness. I came second. I was happy.

Current mood:  tired
Hey hey there my fellow myspacers!! For the last week iv been recording my new ep. It was a week of ups and downs, and some handy DIY work, improvising an "isolation booth" and some "pop shields" out of coat hangers and matresses!! So we went out to a house out the country, set up some gear, played some guitar, drank some tea and then got down to business of recording some songs. I re-recorded a few that I had up before cos I wasn't really happy with em and also did some new ones. At the end of the few days I had 8 of my own songs recorded and 4 covers done. The fantabulous Eithne O Connor also popped out and put some vocals on some songs which made the whole process a lot more random!! So the songs on this 8-track EP are a collection of songs, some of em old, some of em shiny and new car smelly, they werent written as an EP so they are just a couple of random songs Ive ben sittin on for a while. So take a load off, have listen, drop me a line! feel free to send me a message if you want all 8 songs and i'll try mail em to ya.

Times and circumstances can change quickly. For the last few months I have been playing with a singer called Greta Hogan, but as I said, circumstances change, and time goes on. Hopefully I will be able to put up some fresh tracks  up soon and as always, Im eager to hear your opinions on the songs!

Take it easy

I was told by harvey at the (final) laminate gig tonight that pluggin music is like plugging a sink, if you dont plug it, shit will just go down the drain, but if you plug it it'll stay there for ages. Great advice from a great band. I'm so glad i found laminate and i hope that anybody thst reads this will check out laminate and theyr music.
