Hello good people of Europe and the Near East!
We're now organizing dates for Europe in January and February 2010...
If you or someone you know would like to organize a concert, big or small, formal or informal, please be in touch with your offer as soon as possible...
If you are fans of the music of Viking Moses and/or Golden Ghost, but you don't organize concerts, please feel welcome and encouraged to express your desire to see us to local promoters and venues, as this might be helpful...
Also, we are happy to play in unorthodox venues, such as peoples houses or flats, churches, shops, schools, anywhere really... we can be creative!
Below is a rough outline of where we'd like to be, however we can be flexible... If you have any ideas for any shows anywhere, please find us with your ideas and offers...
Really looking forward to seeing you and playing music for you, and meeting so many of you that we've yet had the opportunity to encounter.
eagerly yours, Brendon

VIKING MOSES - was initiated by Southern Missourian Brendon Massei in 2003. The band has a dynamic, rotating cast of both established and obscure musicians worldwide, and is currently based between Scotland (UK) and Northern Appalachia (USA).
More strait forward rock/soul than weird/folk as most of their contemporaries seem to be marketed, Viking Moses’ recordings are very accessible in convention, though live shows normally tend to have an unconventional approach, being hosted in unorthodox venues, often having assembled bands night-of, using members of support bands or strangers in the audience. Both aspects are delivered with utmost soul, passion, and humility, and always offer fans and strangers an experience which is unique and often contrary to expectation.
Viking Moses has been finding very fair attention since 2004, thanks to Devendra Banhart's "Golden Apples Of The Sun" compilation and good words, followed by a signing by Alan McGee (Creation Records founder, and manager of Oasis, Jesus & Mary Chain, Primal Scream, Teenage Fanclub, Mogwai, Libertines, etc.) which has found Viking Moses high acclaim in UK and Europe, and kept them heavily active in that part of the world these past few years.
UK film company Pulse Films will be releasing a feature length documentary film of Viking Moses in 2010, an experimental documentary based on cult artist Viking Moses. Filmed in America over a 5-week period in Spring 2009, the shoot was based on a tour of small house shows and other obscure musical events focusing on Viking Moses. The film strives to be as unconventional as the medium allows, mixing completely uninfluenced observational documentary styles with heightened images and dramatized scenes. Telling the story of Viking Moses' long career (1993 - present) the film ultimately will be a surreal portrait of a man who lives by his own choices, and how this sheds light on the wider ideas of choice and modern lifestyles.
“The Parts That Showed” is the sophomore album release by the Viking Moses, recorded on the Oldham family farm in central Kentucky by Paul Oldham, featuring the talent of Spencer Kingman (of Spenking), John McCauley III (of Deer Tick), Cody Brant and Jacob Soto (of Flaspar) and Evelyn Weston.
This is a unique story of a teenage part-time prostitute who spends her earnings buying ice cream for neighborhood children, and of the man who obsesses over her from afar, told from both angles, and spanning their lives. However, the approach of this story intends to transcend taboos and judgment to offer the listener a vast spectrum of the emotion and ideals of the characters, setting and circumstance.
This album was written with the dream that it might one day be sung by Dolly Parton, and so pays tribute to her work and inspiration.

GOLDEN GHOST - is a band fronted by Laura Goetz from the village of Endicott in Upstate New York.
Goetz' music is addictive, yet surprisingly dissimilar to typical "pop" songs. Rhapsodic in structure, her music often has dramatic stress and meter fluctuations, unpredictable key changes, and tantalizing discord. Goetz fuses catchy melodies, which can reoccur from song to song, delivered with technically complex electric guitar playing.
Lyrically, she often uses themes from extremely brief life encounters and observances, (such as a Scottish man who paints moonscapes, or an institutionalized Missouri woman who had been discovered swallowing hundreds of small metal objects, and even of 70's television's French Chef host Julia Child!) and produces extensive monologues told from the perspective of her subjects, an exquisite display of imagination, compassion and poetry.
Laura Goetz moved to New York City in October 2006. She joined up as a band member of Castanets (Asthmatic Kitty Records) for their Spring '07 North American tour, after which she moved into the Silent Barn, a DIY music venue in the NYC borough of Queens (featured in SPIN Magazine, December 2008).
G. Lucas Crane (Wooden Wand & The Vanishing Voice, Nonhorse) provided recording equipment for the first Golden Ghost album "FAUNA OF MIRRORS" (Epiphysis Records), which also featured the accompaniment Brendon Massei (Viking Moses), Goetz' brother Eriksen, and NYC talent agent John Chavez of Ground Control Touring.
Her sophomore album, "THE UNIMAGINATIVE BODY" (released October 27, 2009 - Epiphysis Records) was produced by Brendon Massei (Viking Moses) and features accompaniments by John McCauley III and Chris Ryan (of Deer Tick), Kyla Cech (Annikki Dawn), Brendan Glasson (Vio/Mire), and David Garland (Family Vineyard Records and host of WNYC's Spinning On Air.)
Golden Ghost has toured extensively in North America and Europe since 2007 supporting her album and single releases with snowballing acclaim.

Alvin from the legendary band "Alvin and The Chipmunks" called us last night around 1am and left a voice message as we were sleeping. I couldn't understand much of the message, unfortunately, just that it was concerning a show, and something else to do with acorns, i think... Alvin, if you're out there, we're awake, and ready to do business!

Hi all!
so we've had lots on the burner so far this year, went on a huge 50-some-odd date tour of the USA with the Golden Ghost, the first extensive USA Viking Moses tour since 2005, and the first ever full USA tour for Golden Ghost! (www.myspace.com/heygoldenghost)
since we've been home, Golden Ghost has finished writing her new album "The Unimaginative Body", so i've taken it upon myself with pride and passion to produce this album for her, which shall be keeping us busy at home in Providence, Rhode Island for most of August... we are glad to be working with chief engineer Brendan Glasson (www.myspace.com/viomire) on this album, and having musical accompaniments by John McCauley III of Deer Tick (www.myspace.com/deertick), and others!
