My friend and I used to make fun of a strange guy we worked with.  He always amde up all of these lying stories about all of his amazing experiences that we knew were BS.  He also bleached his hair with peroxide but it didn't look blonde - it looked yellow.  So we made up a series of stories called "The Adventures of Old Yellow Hair" since we ahd seen a book of the adventures of Old Yellow Beard, the pirate.  He responded by referring to me as "Old Clear Hair" due to my obvious hair features.  So, it doesn't really refer to being "old" as much as following the naming model.
