TINY DANCERS RIP 2005-2009

Maybe you've heard it on the rumour mill, or maybe you overheard a couple of blue-rinsed grannies discussing it in the Post Office queue when you last picked up your Giro, it doesn't really matter where - or if - you've heard the rumours because they are true unfortunately.

Tiny Dancers have decided to call it a day after almost 4 years of bouncing, strumming and bopping around these fair isles in search of lovely biscuits. Its obviously a tough time for the band (and for those connected to the band) but we want you to know that we are OK and that we look back at our time together with massive toffee flavoured fondness.

We would like to say a nuclear THANK YOU to all our fans, friends and family for your dedicated help and support over the past few years. We appreciate everything you have done for us and will always remember your enthusiastic and loving support.

Please watch out for the various off-shoot projects and bands that will undoubtedly spring forth from this unfortunate demise (yet more proof of life's constant ability to renew) and we individually promise not to be the 'Joey' to Tiny Dancers' 'Friends'.

It was ok I suppose. Lets not blow things out of proportion. So we screwed up a new song. Who cares? No-one died. AND we even played said song (a reworking of Breathe It In called.....er.......Brethe It Out) in full at the end. This takes balls. And courage. And stupidity. And a certain fearlessness. The thing is about us dear readers is that we don't really get too upset or serious about things. Sure, we respect and are ever thankful to fans and always try to give our all.......but at the same time we aren't about to become chedderised by the big cheese and his army of baby bells. What I'm trying to say is that sometimes things go wrong. And Tiny Dancers sometimes go wrong. But then again, sometimes things go right. And Tiny Dancers are right. right? RIGHT!

What would you rather......a band on stage who give a flawless, spookily mechanic performance time after time, or a band of (sexy) boys who sometimes achieve trancendental mometnts of cosmic greatness but sometimes fall-over. Tiny Dancers are that band. Sometimes we play correct and dance. Other times we joke and do things we shouldn't. Les put it this way. Are you a Ron Howard man or is Paul Verhoven more your ting? Do you like Dean Koontz or Norman Mailer? Do you like follow Manchester United or Manchester City? I s it any of my business? NO!

Anyway thanks for coming to see us and rest assured, we will always be REAL!

Heyyyyy,

Its been a quiet few weeks here at camp Dancer.....or has it! Just because you can't see us or the radio aint playin' our tunes doesn't mean we aren't using our hands and mouths to make loud noises! In fact we are making louder noises than ever before! In fact just the other week Glover Mozza and I took a twilight walk/adventure into the pitch black forests and fields that surround our fair city. Armed with a bottle of rum, 2 bottles of Spars finest red wine, 3 Magnums and a crappy lighter we entered the night for a Stand By Me-esque rites-of-passage journey that I can recommend to anyone. After hours of blind fumbling along dirt paths we watched the sun rise over the Sheffield skyline with the local alpaca population. Moments before we decided to catch 40 winks upon a open field we let rip with a blood curdling primal scream! Although miles away from town at this point, some of you cats may have heard the distant roar of 3 fifths of Tiny Dancers bouncing around the countryside. Blates Mate.

Also we have been smacking our guitars and keys and skins with a renewed vigor. A couple of these new musical adventures will be aired live at Leeds Brundenell Social Club on 21st September (the day after my stag doo - ouch!) so get yourself down to stick it to Sarah Palin, John McCain, Trent Raznor, Tom Cruise, Paris Hilton, Gary Glitter and whoever else you wanna stick it to! Go Obama!!!
