What a great way to end the Jam Bernardino season - four great bands, an abundance of awesome costumes and good people hanging out and having a kickass time.

There were many familiar faces, as we had Alibi and Lucius Guardian back for a second show. Both rocked the stage and their fans came out in droves, hailing their heroes.

The downtown scene was just like the old days - people hopping from club to club, mostly between Lake Alice next door and the MTL. For a music fan, the situation couldn't have been better - one club rocking the house with cool cover tunes, and our venue, playing original rock. It was like a sensory smorgasbord out there. And yes, people got waaaayyy decked out:

Sachi played again, this time dressed as KISS, and opened their set with "Rock and Roll All Nite". It was a cool way to approach Halloween, with most of the bands dressed in a common theme.

Our new friends, 42 Seconds Later, opened the night with some awesome hard rock/punk. Very nice set you guys. We hope to see you again very soon.

So this is it my friends, the end of the season. Until next year, please stay safe and stay rocking. Well see you on the flip side.

The clouds rolled in, and with it, the chill. The ominous signs were not good as we headed into Jam Bernardino II on Oct. 4 at Third Street Station in Highland. But we all crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. Riverside rockers, The Generation, took the stage to a very enthusiastic crowd, warming up the very cool night.

Sachi was next. Toward the end of the set was when the mist made its very unwelcome entrance. That was okay. The band was having such a great time, they didn't seem to notice.

It was just a light spitting - enough to wet down some equipment - but nothing to get too nervous about. And then it stopped. Lucius Guardian - the reggae-rock-punk-masters from Berdoo - tore it up as the night wore on.

Then the mist returned. Just in time for Alibi to take the stage. These guys from San Bernardino are incredibly tight and have some real talent. The rain, unfortunately, just couldn't wait for them to finish their set. But like real pros, they rocked on as long as they could until one of the speakers started protesting the dampness. Bravo guys. We promise to make it up to you at the Halloween show.

Anyway, as always, thanks to everyone who helped out and to Larry from Third Street for letting us play. Last, but certainly not least, I want to thank all the fans who came out despite the crappy weather. The next show (Halloween! Don't forget your costumes!) will be indoors, warmer, drier, and will surely rock much harder. So stay tuned and we'll catch you soon!

It was a simple concept, yet an ambitious undertaking, but when the flashing lights, soaring guitars and booming drums turned to silence at the end of the night Saturday, we all knew it was a success. The crowd left with a head full of diverse and incredible rock music. All for free. All for the survival of local rock music in the Inland Empire. Four bands and a solo acoustic artist brought it to the stage at Harley's bar in San Bernardino on Saturday Aug. 23. They weren't from L.A. They weren't from Orange County. ALL of them were from San Bernardino or Redlands. And they rocked!

All things considered, the night ran smoothly. There were no problems and the bands gelled well together. I'd consider that a success in itself. And that's not even considering the fact it was standing-room only before the show even began.

Bravo to the bands who helped make our Jam Bernardino kickoff a success. All Marbles, Toby Ray Jolly, Red Tuesday, Hindsight 20/20, my brothers in Sachi, you all are the best. Thank you!

To Mike Freeland and Gary Lynch from Hindsight 20/20: thanks for lending us the P.A. for the night and providing excellent sound.

To Tod from Harley's: Thanks for giving us a venue to showcase these talented bands.

To Sal Rios and Dave Whitt: Thanks for capturing video of the event. We'll be sure to Youtube some great moments ASAP. To Terry Fowler: Thank you for the killer pics!

To the people who came out to support the bands: You all delivered. Hope to see you at the next one! Thank you! Our crew, Robert, Roger and friends, you guys kick ass!

And last, but not least, thank you Gordon Campbell for designing our Jam Bernardino brahma! We're gonna spread your bull all over the I.E. LOL!

See you all at the Rustic!
