Hello all! Redrawn Arts Workshops are back, and to celebrate the current economy, we're having a Pay What You Will Sale on the March 14 workshop. But first! Whatever will you learn in a Redrawn Arts workshop? You'll learn how to transform your old, worn-out t-shirts into a new, stunning, sexy, and playful corset-inspired top that you can wear anywhere, with any outfit! No previous sewing skills required! Check out some of the styles you can learn at: Http://www.redrawnarts.comHttp://www.redrawnarts.com/workshops.html for more info on our workshops. Check out pics of the creation possibilities you can explore once you know the technique: http://www.myspace.com/redrawnarts (check out the latest photo albums) Usually the workshops are $35 per person and last about 2-3 hours. But just for the month of March, it's PAY WHAT YOU WILL!! Simply pay what you think the workshop is worth, or what you can afford. If you'd like to participate in the March workshop (held Saturday, March 14 at 12 noon), just email us and let us know you're coming, and we'll let you know what to bring. See you in class!! ..redrawnarts@yahoo.com

After the super-successful and super-fun fashion show with Keoki Tavares of the Riot and Riot Life line at the Libertine, we were at it again with another fashion show at the O-Bar a week later.
Riot fell upon some tough times, and the O-Bar show was a benefit to Save the Riot, to get their store back up to full speed. The same fashions that were featured at the Libertine were featured at the O-Bar on different and still super-hot models. The twist on this is that all the shirts were being auctioned off to contribute to the Save the Riot fund!
So the models did their little turn on the catwalk around the O-Bar, and afterwards people could bid on their desired shirt. Redrawn Arts was also featured doing live cutting on a random audience member, Farrah. Thank you Farrah! You were refreshingly patient and you looked fabulous!!
After the show, models mingled and flashbulbs crackled like a lightening storm. Again, Redrawn Arts was camera-less, so we've emailed all photogs and should be getting those amazing photos up soon.
Soon, it was announced who won the bid. EVERY SINGLE SHIRT SOLD!!!! The highest bidder was....guess how much!
$5? P-shaw! $50? Maybe last year! Nope, my many fine peoples, the highest bid was a cool $500 for one of the superfresh men's designs! The model wearing this had an impromptu photo shoot at the party, so photos will be up soon!
Overall, the Save the Riot Benefit at the O-Bar was a smashing success! Pics up here first!

How cool is that? We got called randomly by Keoki Tavares, designer of Riot and Riot Life, so co-design a show at the Libertine in Hollywood....TWO DAYS LATER!!! Lawsy, lawsy, lawsy!
So nose promptly hit grindstone, and we pounded out 10 fresh designs for the show. Monkeywrench alert: Guys were comprising half of the show, so I had to think up of designs just for guys on top of all this!
Redrawn Arts delivered, and just hours before the show, we learned that a few girls dropped out of the show, and there were more male models than we knew what to do with! Normally, having more male models than you know what to do with is not a problem at all, but for a designer hours before the show? Just a little stressful!
But again, we banged this thing out with style!! The females looked HOT HOT HOT, as always, in brand spankin' new designs as they paraded through the packed Libertine. The male models rocked it like nobody's beeswax in the NEVER BEFORE SEEN REDRAWN ARTS MENSWEAR!
I know, I couldn't imagine that either, but there they were, looking supersexy in their laced-up shirts.
There were plenty of photogs, but the Redrawn Arts crew collectively had no RA specific camera, so we're still trying to collect photos from that, but rest assured you'll know the minute they're up!!

Hope everyone's staying relatively cool in this heatwave. If you're looking for a new place to swelter, come on down to the Swap-O-Rama-Rama at the Venice Center for Peace and Justice this Saturday, June 28 from 11am-4pm.
It's a day of clothing swaps, and DIY workshops that will teach you how to transform your finds so that you CAN say it's a diamond in the rough. And guess what? We'll be there teaching a workshop!
Because the workshops are free, we won't be teaching our regular workshop, we'll be teaching a bare bones technique how-to, but it's enough to get you going! You can also register for the next full workshop on Saturday, July 12.
For more info on the Swap-o-Rama-Rama, check out: http://swaporamarama.org/
See you there!
