Everyone else is doing it, so for the sake of it I’ve listed the
songs that came out in 09 that I’ve most enjoyed listening to, in
random order. I made a rule that I could only chose one song from each
band or album. Although that proved really difficult to me in the
couple of cases where I’m really attached to the entire album rather
than just one song, it was easy in other cases. While I am personally
still quite sentimental when it comes to the album format, there is
something to be said about the impact of one song that somehow just
gets everything right in the eyes of the listener, making it feel
specially made for you. For me, some of these came really close in that
respect and as such I think you should hear them. Perhaps you’ll feel
the same way.
