Current mood:  blessed

Hello to all: My name is Kelly and I'm married to my very best friend John. Going on 16 yrs. and stronger than ever. We have always taken little (us) trips just to get away from life: you know relax, re-connect, and renew ourselves. But three years ago we took our first trip up to Broken Bow Oklahoma. We experienced our first cabin trip. It was awesome. God gave us a new dream and vision during our two day stay. I told John:  we could do something like this back home. I began praying that night!  So we discussed it the whole time we were there, took lots of pictures, because were not carpetners! LOL So when we got back home everything just happened! God opened all the right doors and it all came together! It was definetley a God thing. I truley believe that there is a reason for our little slice of Heaven in Thackerville, Oklahoma. As some of you know we have journals in each cabin. I absolutely love to read them after each guest leaves. I cry & laugh! It is a confirmation to me that we did the right thing. Their are alot of poeple who even write certain scriptures and that really confirms, because it ALWAYS seems to hit home!  God is so  awesome!!! I have always felt I was called to serve and care for people. Before the cabins I had went to nursing school got my license and was just about to bridge over from LVN to RN but I really believe I found my true calling in life. I enjoy meeting new people everyday. It brings so much joy knowing that when our guest are visting River of Love Cabins, they are able to leave behind all their troubles, worries, bills, society, and all those things that drain the very most important thing from us: TIME !!! Time from GOD, and time from our spouse. You know we get so busy with LIFE we forget we are to put God first, then our spouses come second. Thats why I really believe that by getting away often helps us to refocus, get back on track, "we can get our heart, soul, and minds refilled" with the right things.

You know, it's taking walks in the creek, laughing, communicating, laying under the stars at night ( which by the way is gorgeous), and even cooking dinner together and sometimes its just saying nothing at all: these simple little things mean so much and make precious memories!  Thank you for allowing me to share a little piece of Heaven with you!

God Bless, Kelly
