Anthony Rother zählt seit
seinen ersten Veröffentlichungen„Sex With The Machines“ (1997) und
„Simulationszeitalter“ (2000) zu den deutschen Pionieren einer neuen
Electro-Generation. 1998 gründete er seine Labelplattform „Psi49Net“ und wurde
u.a. mit dem virtuellen Electro-Pop-Projekt „Little Computer People“ (2001)
sowie dem Album „Hacker“ (2002) endgültig zur Institution. 2004 löste Rother
„Psi49Net“ durch das Imprint „Datapunk“ als Signal klanglicher und thematischer
Neuausrichtung ab. Der Longplayer „Popkiller“ stürmte die Charts, gefolgt von
„Super Space Model“ (2006) als Meisterstück klanglicher Essenzierung. ....

In Abgrenzung zum Hype
„Elektro“ forscht Rother seit 2007 unter dem Begriff „Moderntronic“ an einer eigenen Symbiose aus Electro und
Techno. Mit „My Name Is Beuys Von Telekraft“ resultierte daraus Anthony..s
erstes, voll digital produziertes Album. Parallel dazu treibt er seine
Hardware-basierten Live-Aktivitäten voran. Anthony Rother präsentiert sich
seinem Publikum nach wie vor auch live mit seinem Echtzeit-bedientem
Maschinenpark. Auftritte auf allen namhaften Events weltweit machen ihn zu
einem der wenigen Live-Mythen unserer Zeit.....

Schon früh konnte sich Rother
ebenso als Co-Produzent und Remixer etablieren. Erfolgreiche Beispiele sind
seine Zusammenarbeit mit der Frankfurter DJ-Ikone Sven Väth (u.a. Alben
"Contact“, "Fire“) oder dem Ex-Kraftwerk-Mitglied Karl Bartos. Eine
langjährige Produktionspartnerschaft verbindet ihn zudem mit dem Münchner
Star-DJ Hell und Ergebnissen wie der LP „Teufelswerk“ (2009). Remix-Arbeiten
für wichtige Künstler wie Nena, Tiefschwarz, Ellen Alien, Thomas Schumacher
oder AUX-88 unterstreichen Anthony Rothers heutigen Ausnahmestatus deutlich.

Ever since his first releases,
"Sex With The Machines“ (1997) and "Simulationszeitalter“ (2000),
Anthony Rother has been among the German pioneers of a new electro generation. In
1998 he set up his label platform "Psi49Net“ and ultimately became an
institution with his virtual electro-pop project "Little Computer People“
(2001), and the album "Hacker“ (2002), among other activities. In 2004,
Rother replaced "Psi49Net“ with the label "Datapunk“, as a sign of a
sonic and thematic reorientation. The album "Popkiller" stormed the charts,
followed by "Super Space Model“ (2006), as a masterpiece of sonic concentration.....

Since 2007, separating himself
from the hype of "electro", Rother has been exploring his own
symbiosis of electro and techno under the term "moderntronic“. This resulted
in Anthony's first fully digitally produced album: "My Name Is Beuys Von
Telekraft“. At the same time he has been pressing ahead with his hardware-based
live activities. Anthony Rother continues to appear live before his audiences with
his real-time-operated machines. Appearances across the world at all the
world's big-name events make him one of the few legendary live acts of our time.....

Rother also established himself
early on as a co-producer and remixer. Successful examples are his cooperation
with the Frankfurt DJ icon Sven Väth (e.g. the albums "Contact“ and
