This week Hard Eire on RTE Pulse brings you a bumper show, they have an exclusive mix from Nik Denton, who this week celebrates 8 years of Toolbox, the mix will include Forthcoming Toolbox material. Karl will also be talking to Nik.

The buzz surrounding the 6th Annual Hard Dance Awards 2009 is gathering pace at an alarming rate. Since voting opened late last year, clubbers and hard dance fans alike have been voting in their thousands.

Voting is open until 14th February so there’s still time to have your say on who you think should win the Best DJ and Best Newcomer awards, as well as in the three new categories that include the Outstanding Contribution to Hard Dance Award.

Votes can be cast at www.harddanceawards.com.
The event itself is a three room showdown of some of hard dance’s leading artists that include Showtek, and BBC Radio 1’s Kutski, a horde of the UK’s top regional talent and a live awards ceremony starting from 10pm, which is hosted by trackitdown.net’s Ed Real along with some very special guest presenters, including the legendary Howard Marks. Wrap all this up under the roof of the newly refurbished 2,200 capacity Leeds Academy, and this is set to be the biggest hard dance event of the year.

Hard Dance Awards 2009 are being recorded by BBC Radio 1 for a special broadcast from 1am on Friday 6th March in the Kutski show, followed by a Hard Dance Awards Essential Mix.

"I'm really looking forward to my Hard Dance Awards special - we'll have interviews, mixes and all the news from the awards plus a special essential mix featuring the newly crowned winners of the Best DJ and Newcomer categories. It's going to be a show to remember!"

See the mischievous duo in action this month from North to South! Andy played the Fo Show in Skipton on Friday 5th September, and all for charidee! He signed a porn mag & a copy of the Frantic 11 album, both to be auctioned off to raise more money for very good causes.

 

If you're gutted you missed that baby, the boys will be appearing at Hard Cash on Saturday 20th September at one of their regular haunts, Hidden in London. It's a free party run by the guys behind Frantic, as they know times are hard with the impending credit crunch! The main room line up is huge – including Anne Savage, Andy Whitby and many more huge names soon to be announced as well as the craziness that is Pickup & Rise.

The end of the month sees them in Birmingham, playing at legendary afterclub Shine at The OC's on Sunday 27th September.

And there ends their month – but there's no rest for the wicked as October is jam packed with gigs, including a manic weekend to kick things off – Concept in Southend on 3rd followed by Tidy Weekender 15 on Saturday 4th!

Anne Savage

One of the scene's biggest stars, Anne has made huge waves in the hard dance scene and has been rocking festivals and clubs around the world this year with her diverse tune selection.

Frisky

Welsh hardstyle and EHT queen Frisky has played major festivals and clubs across the country and abroad over the last couple of years, proving that she can cut it with the very best.

Adam Lab 4

Adam is headlining the massive Hard House Academy this year, proving that his solo live sets are a force to be reckoned with. His unique harder brand of hard dance is showcased on the Frantic album.

Proteus

Finnish superstar Proteus is set to storm the main room at Hard House Academy in October 2008 with his ear splitting live set – get a taste of his full on industrial sound with this CD.

Cally Gage
