Apologies for being slack on the blogging action, but after quite an extensive tour through the EU I'm back home now trying to find my groove in the studio. On the release front, things have been going well ; my album has been out for about a month now and I'm happy to see people are enjoying the music. Also, my two remixes of Efdemin's "Acid Bells" have been released on a very pretty little coloured vinyl 10" thingy on the Belgian Curle label - grab it while you can because these are limited! Then there are two tracks of mine on Aus Music's compilation CD "All Night Long", namely "For Lost Relatives" and "Electric Purring", the latter will have a vinyl release very soon. I'll put a clip of it on my space today actually..

Anyway, time for some gifts... My good friends at LowerDepths made three short radio mixes available for you to download and pod, I recorded these in the studio for Gilles Peterson, Rob Da Bank and James Mountain's shows a few weeks ago - enjoy!

Hi all! The final release date for my album "Great Lengths" is set to 20th April (vinyl/cd/digital). It's been a long time coming, but being producer,
dj and the label manager all at the same time has proven to be a lot of hard work and very time consuming. Thankfully I've had great help, I'm very happy with the artwork and the mastering so I hope you will enjoy the final result!

In the meantime, my remix of Shed's "Another Wedged Chicken" on Ostgut Ton is out now, as well as "Yet" on Tectonic. I also did two tracks for a new compilation on Aus Music, "For Lost Relatives" and "Electric Purring". Both are on the CD version, while "For Lost..." will also come out on vinyl on May 18th, with Pearson Sound and Appleblim & Ramadanman on the other side. I have been working on a few new tracks and remixes so I can tell you more about those soon.

Coinciding with the album release, there will also be copies available again of 2562's "Embrace / Hijack" (3024-004). 2562 is doing a string of gigs all over Europe so make sure you check him out when you get the chance. If you're in the US of A, we're doing a "Great Lengths" party on april 17th at Cielo, NYC with myself and Brendon Moeller, and a Brainfeeder event with all the family the day before, april 16, Club Love, NYC! See you there...

Exactly a month after my last blog entry and I find myself back in the studio in the US of A, after a 4 week European tour that could be summed up as a long list of departure and arrival times, with lots of interesting happenings in between. Following months of isolation writing my album, I was happy to see so many people being enthusiastic about the music at all the gigs, and especially at the two album launch parties.

The album party at FWD>> (Plastic People, on 8th of february) was just incredible. There was such a positive buzz about the night and the turnout was quite overwhelming. Plastic People is a small club with a low ceiling and a big sound system, and to see this army of bass heads vibing on the
music was a lovely sight. The music didn't dissapoint - with dBridge's FWD>> debut, playing a blend of innovative hiphop, dubstep and some drum 'n bass he certainly made his presence known. After Dee I did my thing for an hour and a half, playing quite a few album bits and some 4x4. Then Kode9 surprised everybody with a mid90s drum 'n bass set that included "Metropolis" by Adam F and "Your Sound" by J Majik - it was all good after that! Thanks so much to the FWD>> crew (Sarah, Amy, Rat, Geeneus) for having us, and a huge big up to SP:MC and The Spaceape for doing such a great job hosting it all.

A few days later we found ourselves in Berlin at club Arena for part 2:
Lovely club with a good dancefloor and lots of little corners and niches for people to chill out at, and a good system. Adam Marshall opened the dance and Scuba brought a good hour of his new material mixed up with some 2step classics. By this time the club was nice and full, a good 400 happy people for a wednesday evening! Kode and I played back2back, again a mix of all sorts of styles, and to top it all off Berlin's main man Marcel Dettmann held it down with a wicked house/techno set, with fellow Berghain resident Ben Klock joining him until the very early hours. Once again thanks to everyone who made this happen: Nils, Paul&Paul, Marcel, Adam and Ben, Philipp and all the crew that represented.

After these two fantastic nights, I'm really happy to announce that North America will get its own dose of 3024. This time we've been given the chance to play at New York's Cielo Club, home of Francois K's Deep Space and a range of other cool nights, for part 3, the revenge of the return of the Great Lengths Album Launch: friday 17th of April, with myself and Brendon Moeller aka Beat Pharmacy. Hope to see you there!

Hi
Just managed to upload the remix I did for Scuba's "The Upside" which will be released soon on his "Mutual Antipathy remixes" on Hotflush, as well as a track for a new Tectonic compilation album scheduled for early 2009 called "Yet".

3024-wise, the Flying Lotus and 2562 remixes have just hit the shops on vinyl, check out the Boomkat review of it HERE. Forthcoming on 3024-004 are two new tracks by 2562 so stay alert!

I've been getting lots of myspace messages with links to music, and it's been really difficult staying on top of it all so if you use Soundcloud, then here's my dropbox http://soundcloud.com/martyn3024/dropbox in which you can drop any music you would like me to listen to!

Thanks so much for the support!
