It's Friday! Time to throw on your favorite Yacht Rock 8-track and take out the '71 pontiac for a cruise through the countryside with your favorite cans of vegan beef stroganoff!

The latest band feature is on A Shattered Hope, a righteous rock band from San Diego. They recently debuted two new tracks down at 91x titled "Walker, Texas Rager!" and "I'm not very good at this" which are both pretty damn slammin' if you ask me. Heavy and melodic, what else could you ask for?

In a world with hundreds of similar and almost identical sounding aggressive post hardcore screamo bands, creativity and originality is something hard to come by now in days. This isn’t the case for A Shattered Hope, with there own heavy, melodic, chaotic, catchy sound full of twists and turns and moments that keep the listener guessing. Hailing from San Diego CA, the band has been solely dedicated to writing, recording and playing shows all over the country. With a good amount of touring experience already under their belts the boys will be continuing to tour as much as physically possible and keep pushing themselves to the next level.

To check out some sweet jams and tour dates from this band, please go tohttp://myspace.com/ashatteredhopeKeep an eye on these dudes. Good vibes.

Travis.

Hello everyone. We hope you are doing well hiding behind the the screens of your computers, staring at pictures of outside landscapes knowing you could be frolicking in a forest made of flowers and signed vhs copies of "Tango and Cash."

A huge update of sorts. Lots of content from our favorite people/bands/etc.

CONVERGE

Today marks the release of Converge's latest ear destroyer "Axe To Fall." This new album rips so hard. It's insanely tough to put into words how good this is but hands down their finest release since "Jane Doe." It's on sale at Best Buy for 7.99 and other outlets so your excuses are invalid. Steal money from your drug dealing neighbors and blast this shit so they have to move out.

DISEMBODIED
One of my favorite bands of all time wearing Rockett? A dream come true. After releasing crucial albums such as "If God Only Knew The Rest Were Dead" and "Heretic," the masters of heavy recently put out "Shalms of Sheol," a retrospective featuring all of their out of print and unreleased tracks including a killer Slayer cover. Learn your history before you claim the generic mosh metal mall down the street from you invented the breakdown. Check them out HERE AND GET LOUD. Crucial video of them at some Euro Fest. Pizzagram shirt is everywhere!!!

THE FALL OF TROY

I recently saw these dudes play at the Glasshouse and they killed it. Check out the video below and a teaser of the photoshoot we just did with them (photo by the awesome Ashley Goris, Youtube vid by some random pizza) as well as their killer new record "In The Unlikely Event" in stores now!!!

Andrew (Fall of Troy) straight showing the world what's up.

ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS

Check out the sweet video below for "The 42nd Ego." Tons of Rockett in this beast of a video, way stoked! The behind the scenes feature rules too. Be sure to check this band out and see them on the upcoming fall tour with The Almighty Norma Jean, Horse the Band and more. We are sponsoring this sucker too!

.. ..

SHANTZ

For those living in the dark, Shantz is one of the gnarliest designers around today. Be on the lookout for some of his work to pop up on our site soon. Pants will be SHAnTz. In the meantime, check out some of his work HERE

MIKE FUENTES/PIERCE THE VEIL

Mike and the rest of the dudes in Pierce the Veil are busy writing and recording their follow up to their debut album. Way stoked. Mike is rockin' the awesome Slime Eye tank. Stoked!

TV AND TATTOOS WHATTTT

HBO's "Hung" recently featured this goober wearing the out of print "get organized" hoodie. How bizarre. This is Skull With Hair's tv, too. Way punk.

This gentlemen was on "So you think you can dance," "Dancing with the stars," or "Generic show about dancing." I honestly can't tell those shows apart nor do I care do but regardless, stoked he wore the Zombie Ice Cream on TV! Thanks dude!

HOLY SMOKES. Our homie Roger M. from texas recently got the "Red Monster" tattooed on him. Turned out great! Way stoked, thanks homie!

This was turned in from an unknown person, but hot damn! The Yucko on your skin for life! Insane!

Last but least is a social gathering of sorts with myself, Theron, Nate, and Andrew. Swell dudes, swell bands, swell times. Stay weird everyone and hope you enjoyed the update.

Travis.

Today is Thursday, crawling ever so slowly to Caturday, an unholy celebration of whiskers and kitty litter!

Our latest blog feature is on Ire & Sentiment. Super sweet dudes who kick out some killer riffs:

"To say that New Jersey's own Ire & Sentiment have been extremely busy since their conception, would be an understatement. Since 2006, this quartet has released three solid records filled with powerful shredding riffs, huge hooks, and truly genuine original songs. They take much pride in the fact that they simply cannot be forced into any genre or scene, and they simply strive to create heavy music that all music fans can appreciate. With constant nationwide and regional tours, Ire & Sentiment is out to take the world by storm with their energetic and flawless live performances for MANY years to come. Make sure to keep a watchful eye on all of Ire & Sentiment's future endeavors, because they could possibly become your new favorite band."

Benefit mankind and check out their music HERE!and HERE!It's good,I approve. And you have to trust a face like this, eh?

Some super sweet folk over at BUY-TEES.NETdid a great write up about what we do. They are a super rad t shirt blog who scours the world finding the brightest and weirdest apparel there is. Fortunately they stumbled upon us...

"Expect to witness lots of drug-influenced zombies, parallel dimensions, long dark nights, B-movies, melting, dripping text and graphics, bizarre, blisteringly funny yet strangely intoxicating, their style has become (in)famous in the underground fashion scene. With artists likeDerek Deal, Chris Sandlin, Colin Strandberg, Josh Stomberg, Filipe Olivera, Skull w/ Hair, and Electrik Suicide on their books you’re assured of a treat for the eyes."

Check out the rest of the article HERE. They review some of our classy designs such as the Derek Deal drivin "Acid Trip" and Horsebites' interpretation of LA vs. Rockett. Thanks dudes!

My favorite part of Fall is finding slices of pizza nailed to the floorboards of my parents basement that never existed. What?

I SURRENDER RECORDS' latest signees TAKE NOTICE are about to take over the world. I have seen the floor plans for total world domination and they include "everything fast-paced and high-energy, breathing new life into the familiar, time-tested glory of melodic hardcore." Check out the ridiculously good songs on their myspace to catch a glimpse of what the future holds for the full length being recorded as we speak! We back the band to the fullest and so should you!

Waking up in a desert covered in pizza again. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

I'm typing this through an inter-dimensional portal. They have Wi Fi. Our friends in this sweet band called "Every You" recently dropped a new EP titled "A change of scene" and it rules!
Photobucket

"Starting over fresh. Giving everything you’ve got. Not letting a few bumps in the road ruin your journey. That’s what South Florida’s Every You is all about. After the fall of previous bands, singer/guitarist Matt Burns moved away for college, only to find out that his heart was still in making music. Teaming up with bassist Mike Shaffer and guitarist Alex Hernandez, the three started what would eventually become Every You. Soon after, they started writing "A Change of Scene", a six-song EP that tells the story of love, loss, distance, and struggle, but never letting any of it hold you down. Clocking in at around 20 minutes, "A Change of Scene" is truthful and infectious enough to keep you singing along with every word and always wanting more.

You can hear their sweet jams
RIGHTTTT HEREEEE.

Good tunes, good tunes, what else can you ask for? Stay weird, dudes.

This weekend I traveled through space and time. Casey is missing and his brother is looking for him.

San Diego's own Misdelphia is our latest blog feature. Great dudes and great tunes, plus bass player Alex Lopez once beat up seven guys from a biker gang using Lionel Richie LP's and commemorative World War II stamps!

img_6261-1.jpg

Hailing from the shores of sunny San Diego, Misdelphia offers a soulful blend of pop and rock. By combining catchy verses, creative song structure, and choruses with enough energy to power a city, they have stated their claim as one of Southern California's most promising new bands. The five boys (Jordan Wark-vocals, Ori Rendler-guitar, Kevin Childs-guitar, Alex Lopez-bass, Brian Meyer- drums) derive their sound from a number of different influences including; The Starting Line, Beatles and Jimmy Eat World. With the recent release of their sophomore EP "I Can Motivate the Sun" and their recent summer tour of the west coast, Misdelphia has acquired a dedicated following and have stepped into, what looks to be a very bright future in 2009. Do yourself a favor and check these dudes out!!!

Listen and love here
