Current mood: electric

I have three shows happening next week. Hope you can make one:
Wednesday, June 24th, 7:30 PM: Googies Lounge, upstairs from The Living Room. Pete Stuart will be with me on bass, playing songs from my album-in-progress, yet to be named, soon to be overdubbed...
Thursday, June 25th, 8:PM: Sinatra Park, Hoboken, NJ. I'll sing a song with Eddie Skuller, who will be performing songs from his already-named-album, The Morphine Berry Story (written by Eddie with my old pal James Mastro). Band will be James, Vinny DiNunzio, and Jagoda. Their show last week at The Living Room was pretty mind blowing. Looking forward to a nice stint on the waterfront (get it?), hopefully the weather-gods will bless us with warm breezes and clear skies (down with the schvitz!).
Friday, June 26th, 7:30 & 9:00 PM: Loser's Lounge Battle of the Bands at Joe's Pub - Neil Young vs. the Eagles. Of course, the best thing would be Neil Young coming out and swinging his ax at the Eagles, who would swing back defensively from a konk on the head and bleed weird blood as the Custard Kings play on in the background (Gwar, anyone?). But no, it won't be like that. Just us Loser's doing our thing. Ironically, I'll be singing an Etta James cover. Joe's Pub is posh & pricey, get there early for a good seat.
Also... 2 P.G. Six Band shows in July (one 7/9 at Union Pool, one as yet unannounced), another show for Pete & I at Pete's Candy Store on August 15, and another P.G. Six Band show on August 29th (Philly, also TBA).
Ciao, ciao, ciao!

I've been doing some recording at NY Hed Studios on Ludlow Street: http://www.nyhed.com. Ivan Julian is producing. Pete Stuart plays bass on both tracks. James Mastro plays electric guitar on LA. Things are coming along slowly but surely, and there will be more... (Many thanks to all!!)
By the way, the frogs were recorded on my laptop (not in the studio - that would have been tough) in a swamp by my dear friend Gretchen's place in the Poconos.
Ciao!

I receive tables of contents for a few scientific/medical publications as part of my job. One day I was looking down a list of abstracts (that is, synopsis of article content) to see if there was anything relevant when I came across the abstract below, titled "Tunable diode laser measurements of water vapour absorption line parameters".
I did not write the content below. The author is R.S. Eng of MIT. The abstract was originally in paragraph form but I rearranged it to bring out its poetic sense, I guess.

[[title]] Tunable diode laser measurements of water vapour absorption line parameters
Tunable diode laser measurements of water vapour lines in the 5 ìm region have been extended to include oxygen as well as nitrogen broadening.
Positive pressure shifts of line positions have been observed for the first time in the v2 band.
Absolute calibration of a line position using the CO laser as a reference has also been carried out. By R.S. Eng A1, P.L. Kelley A1, A.R. Calawa A1, T.C. Harman A1, K.W. Nill A1
