Our long lost DVD "K2 Live in Hollywood" is finally available at Amazon.com. We are very excited that this DVD is getting the chance to see to see the light of day. Thanks to our new label, Umbrello Records!

This DVD features Josh Gleason on vocals, Ryo Okumoto ..boards, Karl Johnson on guitars, Ken Jaquess on bass and keyboards and Doug Sanborn on drums.

There's plenty of behind the scenes footage, a bonus video of K2 from our Spring 2006 tour and a photo gallery. We also wrote new music for the DVD menu's that complements K2's Book of the Dead theme!

Hello everyone!

We have some great news! K2 has been picked up by Umbrello Entertainment! Finally we have a new home. Please see the offical press release below. Umbrello will be releasing the long overdue K2 Live in Hollywood DVD and re-releasing the K2 CD 'Book of the Dead'. Soon we will post the links to Amazon.com so you can buy them!!

Umbrello will also be releasing K2's 2nd album 'Black Garden' in early 2009. We have finished recording and are deep in the mix, so too speak.

There will also be a special Japanese Import of our new album 'Black Garden' with a bonus track not available on the domestic release, as well as the Live in Hollywood DVD as a bonus disc! This too will be available in early 2009. How cool is that?

We are very happy to be a part of the Umbrello Family and thank them for believing in us and brining K2 on board!

Hello everybody....

You've no doubt have heard by now that Mr. Okumoto is in some serious pain with a broken jaw. YIKES!! I saw the CT scans.....OUCH!!

It will require surgery, but I bet he will be even better in the end.

We can rebuild him....make him better that he was........faster.........FASTER...

Ok...... enough of the Steve Austin jokes:)

We here in the K2 camp want to send good feelings and warm thoughts to our dear friend and bandmate! We miss him very much and pray for a speedy recovery.

Ryo is THE man, as far as we are concerned and we love him!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone!! As always, it seems to take forever for us to update our blog. Oh well.... We are very busy recording our new album. We just spent this past weekend recording all of the vocals!! A very exhausting weekend was had by all, but the album is sounding incredible! And we have yet to begin mixing!! Josh is an amazing vocalist. Period. Thats all that needs to be said!

Next, we will record a few more guitar tracks, and then its off to the races;~)

Hello! Its been too long since our last blog entry, so its time for an update. K2 are currently in the studio recording the follow-up to BOTD. We have all been so busy, thats its been difficult for us to get together. But the time is right and we are hard at work. Please check out the newly updated K2 photo album to see a few pics of us in the studio. We are hoping for a Fall release. Stay tuned for more updates!

Hello everyone. The K2 DVD that was filmed back in January is finally done! Here are a few clips from the forthcoming DVD for you to checkout. Man....it took so long to get this thing done, but we are happy to show a few teaser clips. The DVD will be for sale soon (we hope). K2 will start rehearsals for the follow-up CD in mid October. For those of you emailing us about touring back East, we may have to wait until we finish the new CD. Please hang in there a little bit longer guys. We can't wait to get out there!

Howdy howdy!

 Its been a long time since weve posted on our blog, but then we had very little to say. But with K2's first tour in the can, we must comment on all of the cool people that we met during our all to short tour of  So Cal! When you play Prog in So Cal, you never really know just what is going to happen or who might come out of the woodwork. The fans who came to see us perform were soooo cool! This has been a great experience for all of us, and we can't wait to get back out there, and show what were made of!

 We had alot of fun in the van, stuck in traffic, with Ryo telling hilarious stories of past tours he has been on. Or Josh with his 'take no prisoners' approach on life, love and music! Karl and I cracking one liners every other sentence and Doug with his perfectly timed quotes from our favorite movies.

A big thank you to Rob Thurman our equipment technician extraordinaire. We could not have done this tour without you 'brutha'!

Now its off to the studio to begin work on the new album!

Well...... we're still mixing the music for the DVD. Once that is done, then its off  to the editing room to see which shots works best, and then put it all together.

New music is also being crafted and arranged! Its pretty wild stuff and we can't wait to record the next album!

OK....ok.... Im finally posting the very first blog entry for K2! It has taken a very long time to get to this point, but it was worth it. With our new vocalist Josh Gleason of The Waiting Room, we are finally "on our way"!

On January 13th, K2 performed its first gig to a small but packed house, and the show was filmed for a DVD release that should be out by spring of '06.

The show was a huge success, and we thank everyone who came to support us! There will be more gigs this year so stay tuned!
