Hey dudes and dudettes, so the MAAW tour is almost over and we just wanna say that we had a fucking blast on it. Got to hang out with some old friends and made some new ones. So we that after this tour we're gonna do some headline dates and hit some of the cities that we didn't do on MAAW. We'll start on may 17th in Mokena IL and end in Las Vegas on June 5. We have a band out with us called Theory of Disorder so check em out.  Then we'll take a week off and do a west coast run that starts on June 17 in San Diego and runs for about 2 weeks. Of course we'll be playing our old stomping ground The Whisky in Hollywood on June 19th and work our way up the coast.  We're workin on shows in Seattle and Portland so don't worry. Come out and have a good times have a beer and a shot with the Shank. For all the dates check out the tour dates on our MySpace page. Then we'll be hard at work on the new album so these will be the last shows we'll play for a while. See ya all on tour.

Spineshank

Ok People, we're in Dallas and im stealing someone's internet connection for long enough to get a few words out. The tour is going pretty good and we are starting to get our touring legs back. i have been sick as a dog and spending 99% of my time asleep in my bunk, it seems as if everyone on the bus is sick or fighting it off. We made some new friends with the other bands on the tour and Straight Line Stitch, who are doing off dates with us. We will get a video blog out as soon as we get a day off or a free minute. Remember that it is free to see the 2nd stage of the MAAW Tour So come out and see us!!! You have no excuse!!!

We have been added to Disturbed's Music as a Weapon tour!! we will be on the second stage. So come out and see us play for the 1st time in 5 years!! Hey there dudes and dudettes, here's a quick update on the status of Spineshank. We had one of our guerilla writing/recording sessions all week. The record is definitely shaping up and trust me when I say that this is going to be by far the best Spineshank record yet. At this point we have about 10 songs completely finished. Some are recorded properly, some are just really shitty recordings. As Tommy said before we're planning on writing 20-22 songs total and then picking the best 12 or so and releasing them. All of us are firing on all cylinders and we're super excited about this record. Jay Baumgardner will be done mixing a coupla songs for us next week, so we'll post something up very soon. Also we'll have a new line of merch coming out it should all be done by January. That's pretty much all for now. Thanx for your undying support.

ok guys, here is a bit of a progress report. things are moving along pretty nicely, we have about half the record written. some song titles are "I Am Damage" Anger Denial Acceptance" and "The Reckoning". Our good friend Jay Baumgardner will be mixing some songs for us next week so we will post some new stuff up as soon as it is done. Jay co-produced Strictly Diesel and mixed Self Destructive Pattern, he is an awesome mixer and a part of the family so we are excited to have him back in the fold again. The writing is going pretty quickly considering that Jonny lives 1000 miles away and can only come out in 4 or 5 day streaks at a time. We are on track to have the new record written by the end of the year. we plan on writing about 20 songs and picking the best 10-12 songs for the record. We have also started rehearsing some of the old songs to get ready for touring early next year. We will get some of the old songs posted up on here as soon as Roadrunner gives us the ok. i have been trying to get approval from them for months but cant seem to get the rights to our own songs. Unbelievable. Thats all for now.

You guys are awesome!! the response from you has been amazing, it feels like we never went away. i would love to respond to each of you personally, and i will try to get to that, but i just wanted to answer a few questions that have been coming up a lot. First of all, you dont have to worry about us abandoning our sound, there will be plenty of electronics/loops/synths on this record. Jonny is also singing better than he ever has, so there will be a ton of singing and melody as well. This will definitely be heavier than our previous albums but it will not be all bashing. I can whole heartedly promise you that we will not be trying to be anything we are not. this is simply going to be Spineshank 5 years later. there will be a few new elements but it will be undeniably us (for better or worse!!!) 

As far as Silent Civillian goes, Jonny is obviously concentrating on Spineshank right now, but he does plan on doing another record in the future. Jonny will also be playing some guitar in spineshank from now on, It will give Mike a little bit freedom in a live setting and add a bit more balls to the live show. If you guys have any questions dont hesitate to ask, it may take some time but we will try to get back to each one of you.

 

Here it is guys, the first Spineshank song in 5 years! let us know what you think. We are back together and going strong. We are getting along better than we ever have and the writing is going great. We hope to have the record written by the end of the year. 5 songs are ready to be recorded now but we want to have close to 20 to choose from. This band has never felt stronger, the time apart really seemed to help. Keep checking this site, we will be posting another song up in the next month or so. Keep in mind that these are only demos and are still in the early stages. We are concentrating on writing, but hopefully, well get some shows booked in the next few months. We cant wait to play this new stuff for you guys!
