The Byers Branch Library is hosting some graffiti events with Your Name in Graffiti. They already held one and I heard it rocked. If you can, I highly recommend checking the next one out on Tuesday, April 14, at 4:15 p.m. Get details and see photos on our Art of Graffiti page!

I have been totally slacking on the blogging lately but I'm super excited that the Teen Summer Reading Bookmark and Poster Design Contest winners and noteworthy entries have been announced! There is some really awesome art and I can't wait to use it in the Summer Reading web site--which I should be working on right now ;). So check out the art and keep watching for the Summer Reading web site, coming soon!

I'm pretty excited--I love when all the award winning books get announced. I've already picked some of the books I want to read:

Life Sucks and Custom Kicks from Quick Picks
Sharp Teeth from the Alex Awards
Me, the Missing and the Dead from the Morris Awards
The Graveyard Book from the Newbery Awards
Nation from the Printz Awards
Jerk, California from the Schneider Family Book Awards
and I want to listen to The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian from the Odyssey Awards!

I better get cracking. Is it wrong to hope for a snow day so I can stay home and read? ;)
