New Arrival (25 November 2009)

KIDCRASH - Snacks tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Finally a new full lenght of those four friends from Santa Fe. What you can expect? More jazzy, technically brilliant, passionate music from four guys who just want to play music and don’t care about genre specifications.

LA QUIETE - La Fine Non e La Fine tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Brooding, amazing and prolific Italian outfit, La Quiete capture the best elements of bands such as Orchid, Mohinder and Reversal of Man. You know: galloping fast melodies and harsh, screamed vocals... the soundtrack for your next epileptic fit basically. It will make you rub your eyes until you go blind. "Super Omega" is the kind of song suicide bombers listen to on their shitty Walkman. Italian kids have it lucky; parents who let them drink wine when they are underage, home grown tomatoes in the backyard and now bands like Raein and La Quiete. Shit ain't fair. - Tim Scott / Screaming Bloody Mess

MODERAT LIKVIDATION - Mammutation tape (Disarmament) RM 6/RM 7ppd
When I first saw this CD I figured it had to be a reissue, but it's not. Mammutation is a new CD from the reformed MODERAT LIKVIDATION, who were originally around from 1980-'85. What you'll hear is a raw Swedish D-Beat hardcore with some rock 'n' roll punk sounds. The first track, "PK" is a dead ringer for DISCHARGE. Some of the more melodic tracks surprisingly remind me of GBH, and some of the more rock 'n' roll tracks have a little MOTORHEAD in them. The good news is that this doesn't sound like an attempt to rehash the glory days, but MODERAT LIKVIDATION had the fresh energy of a band that is doing something now and not in the mid-'80s. "Levande Bomb" starts out with a sample and a slow, dark, almost metalish guitar before the band rips into fast D-beat hardcore. "Hal I Marken" is slower and more melodic punk. Other than the first track just being to much Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing, I really liked this CD. (MH/Maximum Rock 'n' Roll 315)

TAKE IT BACK - Out Of Skate tape (Sukma Recs) RM 6/RM 7ppd
12 collection songs killer thrash hardcore punk inspired by 80's band (Gang Green, Minor Threat). All songs taken from demo, split and 7". Furious old-skool from Jakarta Selatan, re-threading the early 80's California style.

YATTAI - s/t tape (Sukma Recs) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Yattai are one hell of a band - Hardboiled grindcore from the bubbling french scene, powerful metalic grindcore, blasting away as fast as they can.

GRINDING HALT - Discography Tape (Bullwhip Recs) RM 6/RM 7ppd
GRINDING HALT plays down tuned metalcrust that sounds a lot like His Hero Is Gone and Uranus. A collection of their previous releases (split 12’ with Vuur and Sprookjeshof lp) plus 3 unreleased new tracks. Members of Shikari & The Last Mile.

LAUTSTURMER - Audioplague Outbreak Alert Tape (Black Konflik) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Swedish brutal hardcore crust! 5 track new EP recorded April 2008 - RAW, BRUTAL meets early Swedish raw-punk style! Fooking A! Highly recommended

NUCLEAR SEX ADDICT - Seminaal Fuckwit Demo Tape (Disarmament) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Is another new act from downunder. 7 songs of chaos, noise and madness. In the veins of CONFUSE,GAI,GLOOM and DISORDER.

PISSCHRIST - Nothing Has Changed Tape (Disarmament) RM 6/RM 7ppd
This is insane thrash hardcore from Melbourne, Australia. I love it but it makes my ears ring! Pisschrist says that their influences are Totalitar , Anti Cimex, Shitlickers, Crude SS, Avskum, Gloom, Confuse, Gauze, GISM, Mob 47, Moderat Lividation, and DISCHARGE. Right now they are brutalising western Europe on tour. Play this and Pisschrist off your neighbours, your parents and perhaps your entire city.

WARVICTIMS - Logem Om Fredsavtalet Tape (Blood of War) RM 6/RM 7ppd
D-BEAT raw crust out of sweden, 9 brand new track in this cassette.

SLANG - The Immortal Sins Tape (Blood of War) RM 6/RM 7ppd
HC punx band from Sapporo Japan.Come with 23 songs, including 13 songs live recording.Ranging brutal & full of classic japanese punx spirit.

HELLSHOCK - Only The Dead Know The End of War Tape (Disarmament) RM 6/RM 7ppd

12 total raging D-beat crust assault from Jakarta, INDONESIA. Fans of raw D-beat will be delighted at this recording, fist in the air rampaging kang. With obvious influences from Disclose, Anti Cimex, Shitlickers, Disaster, Discharge and even a bit Crucifix. I think they got the band's name from the Cruicifix debut LP. But they don't play like them. Consist one cover from Swedish's d-beat pioneers Anti Cimex - 'When The Innocent Die!!! D-beat Arise!! Members from The Idiots, Satellite and Dead Germs.

These guys sound sort of like Mesa Verde, which means this fairly impressive LP is sitting in the shadow of The Old Road. Their differentiating point is that they much prefer working with harmonic minor and trying to sound slightly evil and menacing among all of the epic builds rather than sweet and wistful. They really aren't that original but bring solid music nonetheless.

Inspired by angular post-punk bands such as My Disco, Off Minor and Fugazi, they have become a band that isn't dwarfed by its origin. It would be wrong to assume that they are merely Southeast Asian copycats of Fugazi, because Killeur Calculateur does possess its own flavor. This 5 songs CDEP combine jazzy bass guitar lines and odd-time drums signatures while letting both sharp trebly guitars do the talking, comes in digipak cover and a poster.

And please do take note that they are not a straight edge bands, never been a cliche posi band. There is one song feature fuck guy from the sabotage as a guest vocalist. And they even cover cock sparrer songs, "we're coming back". Of course straight answer is a punk rock band. The whole concept of the releases was superbly done. The theme, the song structures, the philosophy, are amazing. Taking a step forward from the past music driven, the new one are far way better. So, if your heart crave for better soul of straight answer, reduce ur daily meal, and buy a cheap smoke and beer, and get this one.(review by cactus records)

V/A - HAPPY LITTLE CREATURES - Compilation CD (Third Arm Records) RM15ppd
Behold, third arm records comes forth with another new release, Happy Little Creatures Compilation. From sheer diaphanous madness to audible euphonic melancholy, this assembly of heartfelt synergy of 14 unreleased songs from 8 literally different bands will show you that harmony is subtle yet potent. These formidable acts from bands under third arm records and their accomplices chose a rather seemingly ubiquitous route in attempt to reinvent their approach to reach the mass, for the first time together, as an array of diverse voices yelling to avoid reverting so fully to their old ways that staleness ensues. Featuring Akta Angkasa, Devilica, Blood On Wedding Dress, Daighila, Foliage, Lord Sunny Day, Nazark and Infinite Delay, each band comes with a different offering for those who dare to endeavour. With a modest and unblemished artwork that speaks foritself strewn across the GATEFOLD and cd, this is one release that's bound to be an eminent item to treasure.

WAR ALL THE TIME - s/t (Various Label) RM 10/RM 11ppd
War All the Time is a millenium band. They started since few years back, but this band consist of people that put their hard into hardcore punk diy scene for ages. They play simply totalitar, mob 47 swedish hardcore band but put it on their own way. A mied up feeling of UK crust and swedish crust, do it in great direction. Sned of flat earth records do played drum for this band and flat earth is a label that is most respectable for me and other member do played in various good UK band like boxed inn, hellhazard, kito etc. And compile all the songs from their first 7" s/t release under yellow dog, split 7" with the horror, and the last 7" plus two unreleased songs. 17 songs overall. This is good bands from a great people.

97-SHIKI – Self Title 7" RM 15/RM 17ppd
The debut from this chicago quartet. Guitar, bass, drums, singing...and a gong (not constantly, although that would be awesome, just on one song) in the vein of bands you may or may not have ever heard of or care about. Rhythmic, dischordant-yet-melodic, slightly obtuse, rock music from a group of people who've spent time in bands like- Fourth Rotor, He Who Corrupts, Locks, Killsadie, My Lai, Iron Reminders, Kung Fu Rick, and V. Reverse to name a few.

KURSK / LYCANTHROPHY split 7" RM 12/RM13ppd
A thunderous split 7 inch with Canada's KURSK and Czech Republics LYCANTHROPHY. Both are in my record collection as favourites already so its pretty damn amazing to hear both these amazing bands share the same wax!Lycanthrophy: have been on the european scene with a good few years now nd have released some amazing vinyl via Insane Society Records and many other great labels - releases that have been my favourites for years.Recently they've released an amazing full on grind thrash masterpiece via the super Circus of the Macabre records in co-operation with numerous other labels, its a split lp with SAYWHY who also from the Czech Republic.Pick it up now! Fast extreme hardcore thrash, its geared up and heavy as hell, killer vocals and powerful full on music. Kursk: Ex-Head Hits Concrete and Fuckmorgue. From Winnipeg, Canada, Kursk are definately one of the forerunners when its comes to keeping the music fresh and the ideas and values of punk/life/DIY/communication at the front.Previous split 7 inchs with The Defeatist, Think Don't Pray and (coming shortly on Level Plane recs) Digital Damage. Intense as fuck, rampaging through weird hardcore motions.

NAKOT/DAZD - split - (Doomed To Extinction) - RM15 / RM17ppd
Both bands from Serbia. Awesome apocalyptic crust from Nakot. Dazd sounds more like Amebix with a dirt blackmetal feeling.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TAPE/TAPE/CASSETTE/CASSETTE

BÖKANÖVSKY 's/t' Tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
French emotional hardcore punk that reminds bands like HYACINTH, URANUS or some 90’s French emo hardcore bands. 6 songs of passionate, angry, sad and political emo hardcore with great jangly guitar bits we all know and love!
info: www.bokanovsky.com

COTIDIE MORI - S/t Tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
"When a band shares members with LA QUIETE, you might know what you'll get... But there is no way you can be dissapointed! Hectic and intense screamo with an socio-political undertone. This is the TAPE version of the 7"+CDr. Really nice booklet with this tape! Comes sealed. Another great release from your good pals at UTARID TAPES!"

DAIGHILA - Hencefort EP Tape (Stoneville Records) RM 6/RM 7ppd
I would refer to Daighila as slightly technical screamo. The guitar sound is refreshing, with lots of variation. As are the other instruments too, there's a nice mix of melody and then crashing moments of intensity. The vocals are awesome, raw sounding and indecipherable screams. Not actually a million miles away from the likes of Usurp Synapse, not quite as abrasive though. Maybe if you crossed them with the vocals from Khmer Rouge. The songs are similar sounding to the ones of the split with Noisy Sins (can't remember what the demo songs sound like) but I'd say they are better. The intensity has been upped and maybe there is less technical instrumental bits than on that split. I've just listened to this tape four times over and it hasn't got boring - in fact it sounds pretty great. Six songs, with nice lyric explanations in the insert. Overall this finds a niche in the world of screamo which I would say is somewhere between ye olde screamo and the more modern sound. This was released by Stoneville records who I have never heard of and can find no information about at all! (Oli Saunders)

GRAF ORLOCK - Destination Time Tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Providing schizophrenic metal dispersed with kitschy samples from classic action movie dialogues, California’s Graf Orlock (taking their name from the villain in NOSFERATU) have made their own sub-genre: Hollywood grindcore. Fear not, purveyors of punishment, these guys are as visceral and vicious as it gets, as unlike Tinseltown, there’s nary a sign of silicone to gawk at here. Instead, we get teeming hunks of abrasive hardcore, unforgiving blasts of grind, and a relentless highlight reel of movie dialogue that ties the whole thing together. While other bands may employ these tricks, no one comes close to laying it down with the crushing conviction of Graf Orlock.

OSCEOLA - Discography Tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
This discography is a collection tape was made by a group of people who lived very far from each other but managed to meet up every so often to play music and hang out and became pretty good friends, you can hear some of the 90's emo vibe in their songs and very Saetia-esque for some reason. Artwork by Eric Rohter.

ROBOTOSAURUS - Manhater Tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Progression is described as an onward or forward movement. ROBOTOSAURUS have taken action and pushed through the barriers of heavy music to create the next extreme in sonic defilement. “Manhater”, their dark, crushing, and frantic debut album. Cramming 13 songs into just 25.5 chaotic minutes, the release is the band's most focused and mature sounding effort to date, with their skilful manipulation of brutal sounds bringing to mind the likes of Converge, Discordance Axis, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Daughters. This July will see the band hit the road to celebrate the release of the album with US cinema grinders GRAF ORLOCK joining them for the trek, and that's just the beginning of what's to come. August 2nd will see the official release of “Manhater” through Skull and Bones Records/Stomp and mark the day when music just got a whole lot more complicated For Fans of:The Dillinger Escape Plan & Converge

SPIRES - Flowers and Fireworks Tape (Pissart Records) RM 6/RM 7ppd
These guys sound sort of like Mesa Verde, which means this fairly impressive LP is sitting in the shadow of The Old Road. Their differentiating point is that they much prefer working with harmonic minor and trying to sound slightly evil and menacing among all of the epic builds rather than sweet and wistful. They really aren't that original but bring solid music nonetheless.

SCUM SYSTEM KILLS "We Live in The Cracks Of This Decaying State" Tape (Pissart Records) RM 6/RM 7ppd
A cassette release to support their final tour to South East Asia. Consist members of Walrora, Crux amongs those great Australian's bands. A great mix of crust, punk, metallic and hardcore tunes. If you missed their show, it's time to grab this. This release will be soon to be release on vinyl and the opportunity to have this on tape is another bonus. Grab this great stuff.

...WHO CALLS SO LOUD 's/t' Tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
...Who Calls So Loud from San Francisco are Matt & Dave from Funeral Diner continues where Funeral Diner left off with epic songs that are both raw and melodic. On this tape you will find 12 songs that add a new twist to the traditional hardcore, screamo, and emo genres. With the introduction of slide guitar, acoustic guitar, country twang, and subtly piano, ...Who Calls So Loud makes a mix of interesting melodies you will never forget. this tape previously released as a double 10" and LP.

AGAINST ME! – Reinventing AXL Rose Tape (Core Rock Moon/Boy With No Arm) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Against Me!'s Reinventing Axl Rose is an impressive debut that manages to combine fist-in-the-air singalong choruses, lagered-up rhythms, and urgent drumbeats with the underground, raw intensity these punks are known for live. It's a dynamic record that not only stands firm in its own right, but also hints at a propensity for songwriting in Tom Gabel -- the group's... More hoarse, politically conscious singer/songwriter -- just starting to be fully realized. From the rowdy, country-influenced drinking anthem "Pints of Guinness Make You Strong," to the somber closing notes of "8 Full Hours of Sleep," Against Me! performs every track with the passion of those who truly believe a song among friends can start a movement for change. The band's leftist political agenda is often offset by empowering social lyrics boasting sentiments of unity, individualism, and self-awareness.
www.myspace.com/againstme

ALL THIS WHILE – Insulters of God Tape (Basement Records) RM 6/RM 7ppd
All These Whille is a Malaysian "pissed-off HC" band, trying hard to sound like Negative Approach, No Comment, Infest, Crossed Out with a spaztic vocalist. People called it "power violence" but we just take it as "pissed off HC."

ALCHEMY OF SICKNESS / CANNIBE - Split Tape (Strain Eyes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Old skool grindcore meet grindgore machine. Rerelease for asian fans.
www.myspace.com/alchemyofsickness
www.myspace.com/cannibe

CRIMESCENE - 8 Songs Demo Tape (Cactus Records) RM 6/RM 7ppd
8 songs demo tape. Demo feature 8 songs, a mixing up of powerviolence and stoner rock riffage. The band ended up 6 hours in the studio and manage to recorded more than 10 songs. But they decide to put only 8 songs inside this demo. During the recording process, we are 30% unconscious/spontaneous and 70% ready with the sound arrangement that been planned. The lyrics deal with the moral control rules by the system. And of course we sing about everyday tired fucking life. With the fact that they are a stoner and not a loner, Crimescene cant play the music without getting drunk.
www.myspace.com/crimehcscene

DAITRO – 2004-2007 Discography Tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
The new piece of music by this great emotive french HC band. very mid-90s influenced melodic screamy hardcore, representing the "new wave" of french bands of this genre, like AMANDA WOODWARD, MIHAI EDRISCH, BELLE EPOQUE, APOLLO PROGRAMM etc.
www.myspace.com/daitro

DYING IN MOTION / FULL CHIN - Split Tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Dying in Motion is a screamo/HC band from zurich who blow you away. in the vains of french school (think belle epoque, mihai edrisch, daitro and the like), they're playing a not so often heard brand of agressive, cathartic, errrm, blues. kidding. some call it violent emo, but that's just another not-so-close- drawer for an unclassifiable style. the topics hansi screams his lungs out about are mostly of instrospective nature. Full-Chin is one man folk punk from Yokohama, Japan. This is beautiful!
Info : www.myspace.com/dyinginmotion | www.myspace.com/fullchin

DANIEL STRIPED TIGER 'certain stuff' Tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
"Certain Stuff" is a collection of all of Daniel Striped Tiger non-album material from over the years plus two brand new songs that will feature in Teenage Cool Kids split 7". It contains tracks from The Desert Bird 7", a split 7" with Sinaloa & They and The Children, a 4 way split live 11" with Ampere, Wasteland & Death to Tyrants & the demo CDEP. This is their best work to date!

DOMINIC 's/t' Tape (Make Me Sick Tapes, Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Debut full-lenght from these 5 young Norwegians. Takes their previous sound to perfection. Incredible tight and awsome modern rocking emo. One of the better bands to ever come out of Norway.

DEATH IS NOT GLAMOROUS - Soft Clicks Tape (Quiet.Still.Dead) RM 7 / RM8ppd
After a demo tape, a 7” , two split 7”s and an album , the Norwegian band Death Is Not Glamorous found time to write and record their new full length 'soft clicks' . To give an idea what they sound like: think of Lifetime, Dag Nasty, Rites Of Spring and Kid Dynamite mixed all together. This 13 songs cassette tape recently released on CD/LP under Dead & Gone Records.
www.myspace.com/deathisnotglamorous

GHAUST Self-Titled Tape (Third Arm Records) RM 7/RM 8ppd
"This debut album contains 6 tracks/39 minute running time. Ghaust build a instrumental trip crossing through different genres, where post-rock/shoegaze influences, crushing sludge/doom tempo, collide with hardcore/punk and heavy rock".
Instrumentalist from Jakarta. These 2 guys are insane because they manage to add up a lot of genre and mixing them in their songs but not making it mushy and rough. Beautiful music arrangement combined with aggressiveness. Drawing influence from Boris, Pelican, Amebix, Kyuss and Corrupted.
http://www.myspace.com/soundofghaust

KESUMAT – Prison Called Conformity Tape (Self Release) RM 6/RM 7ppd
A very good work from this Malaysian local band. The journey of heavy soundscape, perpetuating a punk rockness in the direction and not forget to mention the intellligent lyrics. This is the perfect blend. Although the sound is raw but the taste is good. Dark, very emotive driven and catchy at the same time.
http://www.myspace.com/kesumatband

LUKESTAR – Lake Toba Tape (Quiet.Still.Dead) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Saturated with towering vocals that often exceed the normal male range, hook after marvelous hook, and drumming so fluid, present, and masterful that it is as fascinating to listen to as the vocal and guitar work, Lukestar may have crafted the best Scandinavian rock/pop album since Last Days of April's "Ascend to the stars". Continuing in that vein of music that was so crudely labeled 'emo', a sound mostly abandoned a few years back, Lukestar effortlessly combine aspects of LDoA with the more dynamic fluency of Mew's debut album. "Lake Toba" is a reminder of why bands like Seven Feet Four have been able to maintain their presence and importance, and an indication of the future of this genre (and, more importantly, that this sound actually has a future). While the musicianship is damned proficient, it's the songwriting that brings you back over and over, keeping the album remarkable and engaging after repeated listens, and allowing for the album to be enjoyed as a whole without skipping around the tracklist. Anthemic and vulnerable, hopeful yet cautious, "Lake Toba" is everything that rock record with serious pop sensibility should be. And with that voice, those drums, and a level of musical craftsmanship and consistency that has been lacking on far too many similar records, Lukestar's newest effort is in good position to be one of the best album of 2008.

MASS SEPARATION - Tak Mau Lagi Tape (No Action Taken) RM 6/RM 7ppd
This E.P. is truly some of the best thrash I have heard in the past year. Most bands have exhausted this style but not Mass Separation. They used to be straight up noise grind but have seemed to take on more of the youth crew thrash element fused with insane blasting drums. The first side starts with some droning tribal music that puts you in a trance until the thrash takes you by surprise. Non stop craziness. I'll bet people in Malaysia lose their shit live to this band. Modernized youth crew grindcore that proves that not every scene only looks up to Tear it Up and Crucial Unit for an example of thrash. This shit SHREDS!!! It also has extensive explanations to their songs. (Stefan, Attack Fanzine)

OPPROBRIUM ADORNMENT / MELARAT Tape (Cactus Records) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Both bands is from Malaysia. Melarat consists 4 young kids and they are come from Mallaca. They played angry crust punk tunes with lot of melodic part. 9 songs with political lyrics. this is their first material and soon will come with lot of other projects. While opprobrium adornment start out in 1996 with several release but this is their last material before they split up and they now known as selfmadegod. Contain 11 pissed and raw powerviolence with rad vocals. This is a superb split, trust me!

ONLY FOR THE SAKE OF ACHING – Thus Far Collection 2005-2008 Tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
This tape is the improvement of Only For The Sake Of Aching ( OFTSOA ) 4 year together, including their Demo CDr, a split 7" with Amalthea, The Third Memory and Kias Fansuri , a track from Emo Apocalypse comp and one track from their upcoming LP.

OSCEOLA / ARMY OF KASHYYYK Split Tape (Third Arm Records) RM 6/RM 7ppd
A great split between two bands from USA. Both bands deliver great melody with tight riffs and screaming vocals. Get it now and hear it.

PETETHEPIRATESQUID – Don’t Correct Me If I’m Wrong Tape (Utarid Tapes) RM 6/RM 7ppd
First full album (10 songs/26 minutes) by this german band. rocking post-hardcore, influenced by bands such as BRAID, with an additional touch of emo-screamo. complex, shifting rhythms, with female/male vocals.

PROJECT HOPELESS - Välkommen... Till Vår Sopfyllda Fabrik Tape (Bullwhip Records) RM 6/RM 7ppd
All the way from Malmo,Sweden based band. PROJECT HOPELESS deliver you a new and 2nd full length contain 12 extremely pissed off and intense ragging hc songs with both classic, D-beat, and crust influences. This official tape version comes with 2 additional bonus tracks.

ROBOTOSAURUS - Sayra Bahk Double EP Tape (Third Arm Records) RM 7/RM 8ppd
Robotosaurus is made up of past & present members of Love Like...Electrocution, Equal Minded, The Rivalry, The Jonestown Syndicate, This City Dynamite and plenty more. Playing chaotic hardcore / metal, in the vein of Converge, Some Girls and 4 Dead. Having shared a stage with Dillinger Escape Plan (USA), Pig Destroyer (USA), Off Minor (USA), Ampere (USA), Horse The Band (USA), Rosetta (USA), Birushanah (Japan), The Grey Daturas, Agents Of Abhorrence, and just come off a national tour with Graf Orlock (USA), they are set to explode with the release of their debut album & double CD re-release.
http://myspace.com/robotosaurus

REDKEDGE - Through The Greatest Death Tape (No Action Taken) RM 6/RM 7ppd
The famous Lion City Jawanese hardcore. Old release but yet still on of the most promising album. Emocore in veins of Hour The Star, Her Grey Earth and the likes. Screamo? there is no a words of that! This is real emo!

STRAIGHTJACKET NATION - South East Asia Tour Limited Edition Tape (Make Me Sick Tapes) RM 7/RM 8ppd
This is really good aggressive, infuckingsane hardcore punk rock. If Career Suicide and Government warning had a baby on speed then that might give you something half as intense as this band truly is. Check this release out and if you ever have the chance go see them, who knows how long it will be until the next time you have the opportunity.
www.myspace.com/straightjacketnation

SECRET SEVEN / JAHILIA - Split Tape (No Action Taken) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Secret 7 are one of the best bands the South East Asia scene has to offer. I loved their one sided 7" on 625, but these 9 thrash core assaults are even better. Jahilia, also from Singapore, are a bit lower, but they can still blow my mind away." Re-press from their 7" split but with two bonus tracks.

SEE YOU IN HELL – Utok! Tape (Sukma Records/Pissed Off) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Another in a long line of high energy releases from Czech Republic's SEE YOU IN HELL. Eight songs of everything that makes you to love them: speed, agility, hooks and near cryptic lyrics that challenge you to question everything that goes on around you while giving you the feeling that everything could be alright if we apply ourselves. The lyrics are printed in English and are accompanied by a collage of b/w show flyers. If this is your first time reading P.E. you should get ahold of issue 52/53 and check out the SEE YOU IN HELL Japanese tour diary. These guys are awesome!

SISTA SEKUNDEN – 2006 Tape (Atonal Microtonal) RM 6/RM 7ppd
If you dig hardcore punk like the mighty Poison Idea and all new Deranged Records style, you gotta check this out. Sista Sekunden is a hardcore punk band from Sweden with members from Intensity, Kontrovers, Skitkids and Satanic Surfers. Melodic hardcore punk, comparable to Citizen Arrest or even the now famous Career Suicide.

SMG / IRON BUTTER - Split Tape(Razor Sharp Daggers) RM 6/RM 7ppd
12 tracks from SMG (studio tracks 2008/ 2006 + unreleased demo 2000 + live 2007), god knows how many tracks from the Yankees' proud Iron Butter. LIMITED 100 COPIES PRO-TAPE

SMG / COUNTLESS GRAVE - Split Tape (Razor Sharp Daggers) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Both bands bring total old school grindcore shit! All new tracks from boths!!

STALINGRAD – Patty We Kind of Missed You On Your Birthday Tape (Basement Records) RM 6/RM 7ppd
STALINGRAD's trade mark is harsh, brutal and extremely heavy hardcore with influences from the likes of INTEGRITY to ACME. Their acclaimed picture disc released in 1996 was only a sample of what was to come with this, the band's long-awaited debut full-length, again showing a further progression from their previous releases. The eleven track LP version includes a colour gatefold sleeve, while the eighteen track CD version, with innovtive colour packaging, also contains their picture disc 7" session and three additional experimental noise/dub tracks. The record also contains guest vocals from both the VOORHEES and DOOM vocalists, a re-mixed sampled STALINGRAD track by industrial noise stars SMELL & QUIM, and was produced by Bri from DOOM who also happens to be STALINGRADs drummer.

THE HUBBLE CONSTANT - ' // i sin + cos ' Tape (Third Arm Records) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Sounding not unlike the fall of troy, the hubble constant bring a number of influences to a great sound. Think Tool's mindset, the instrumental precision of opeth, the erratic energy of every time i die and a very LA garage rock vocal run through an amp. With an abstract name like Hubble you get what you'd expect: strange music. Diverse sounds like reggae rhythms, crashing crescendos and whispered vocals make this a particularly eerie and intruiging.
www.myspace.com/thehubbleconstant

VA - THE TRUTH TO TRUE INDEPENDENCE Tape (Pissed Off) RM 6/RM 7ppd
Beyond Description, Totsugeki Sensya, Destruction, Asbestos. A compilation cassette that originally released in cd format by Forest Records, Japan. 4 soul full and intense Japanese crust. Comes with front and back full colour sleeve. Beyond Description delivers 4 intense metallic crust tracks. Asbestos comes with one track with long explanation about Medical exploitation in China which is good. Totsugeki Sensya comes with 4 raw distorted crust tracks. Destruction really awesome with one long epic crust. One totally inpiring track about worker's right.

This is masterful old school grindcore full of swarming buzzsaw riffing, incredibly powerful and tight as fuck drumming, razor-sharp rhythm shifts, neanderthal bellowing growls, venomous shrieking and more circle pit inducing crossover skank sections than a young Mitch Harris could ever dream of!! Parlamentarisk Sodomi is the perfect amalgamation of Repulsion, Napalm Death, Righteous Pigs, Captain Cleanoff, Disrupt, Assuck, His Hero Is Gone and Terrorizer, sounding like a genuine lost gem from the late 80’s but with the freshness and individuality to stand above the rest of the new wave of old school grinders! Review :
15 tracks of absolutely fierce, raging, no nonsense grindcore ... a sense of energy that really makes the songs much more memorable than many comparable acts within this realm. - Aversion Online
[T]hese are masterpieces in themselves and deserve to be heard over and over and over again ... This is like the "Reign in Blood" of fucking Norwegian political grindcore. (5/5) -Braindead Webzine
This is one of those intense grindcore bouts that makes me go ‘Gosh!' when it begins, and ‘Phew!' when it ends. Go get! (8.7/10) -Diabolical Conquest
P.S. metaphorically rip and fuck a few new orifices in Stoltenberg’s slight frame with perfectly raw sounding mixture of de rigueur Cookie Monster v. Chloraseptic vocal assaults and Pintado on speed guitar screeds. - Grind and Punishment
This album is fucking relentless ... a masterpiece in its own right. ... Most bands can not pull off [this] type of scathing venom ... A blasting, caustic, whirlwind sonic meltdown. This is what grindcore is about. (9/10) - Grinder Times
[F]ans of Repulsion, Napalm Death should have no problem digesting Parlamentarisk Sodomi as it's just as good. -Supreme Brutality
[E]asily one of the finest pure grindcore releases of 2008 ... The song writing on this effort is unreal ... makes you want to fucking mosh! ... This release is an absolute must own for all fans of old school grindcore. -Teufel's Tomb

Review : The Blinds are a 4 piece punk band from Upsalla, Sweden and they are here to kill. Consisting of all 16 to 17 year old members, they have the youthful energy to destroy everything. Think early US punk/hardcore like GERMS, BLACK FLAG, CIRCLE JERKS or REAGAN YOUTH mixed with Japanese hardcore like LIPCREAM. The recording quality is excellent and the guitar sound is perfect, with a lot of fuzz and treble. This is perhaps on of the best LPs in this genre so faar!! - Offside Records
These youngsters, aged 16-17, bash out straight-forward, catchy punk with a clean guitar sound. THE BLIND jam in the crucial style of early BLACK FLAG, CIRCLE JERKS, or ADOLESCENTS. Imagine a mix of recent scandinavian bands like AMDI PETERSEN'S ARME, YOUNG WASTENERS, DS-13 or REGULATIONS. Sweden has fostered some of the best hardcore bands of the past decade. 15 rough tracks with raspy vocals and snappy three chord gems fusing '77 era punk, hardcore and rock 'n roll. For fans of all those hyped swedish bands a must have. Economical and fucking deadly. This is perhaps on of the best records in this genre so far! - Perkoro Records

Review : This is pretty much what you might get if you mix some His Hero Is Gone/Uranus dark and heavy type of hardcore with some French scream/emo. It is heavy, dark and emotive with just a little bit of metal thrown in the mix. It is a pretty volatile mix of modern hardcore and will serve as a good soundtrack for the upcoming apocalypse. No joke. You don’t play this to get the people dancing happily on the dance floor. You play this to get people all pumped up about the end of this fucked up world. Title : PAZAHORA - Burn The Gavels
Format : Cassette
Price : RM 6 / RM 7 ppd
Pressing Info : 200 Copies MC
Release Date : September 2009
Status : Available !
Tape Color : 50 Red/50 White/50 Yellow/50 Transparent
Album info : Cassette version of their semi discography compile their first full length, split CD with Crux, split 7" with Kah-Roe-Shi with a bonus new song. Asian crust in the rise!
Review : PAZAHORA from Singapore can be describe as really heavy peace punk in the crust vein.Melody-saturated guitar-work abounds and it completely works. This is both listenable and would be fitting it at any sort of raging chaos party because it jams. They lyrics are bleak and define the anti-capitalist minority of the opposition that few still have enough hope to champion. PAZAHORA can be likened to REMAINS OF THE DAY,WITCH HUNT and maybe DISABLE from poland at times.OK, it also reminds me of TO WHAT END?, which is not a bad thing by any means.Really driving and epic and i like the fact that they have multiple singers that have distinct vocals that work together well. (WK) Maximum Rock n Roll 287 April 2007.
PAZAHORA from Singapore have gotten my blood pumping before, and does so this time as well. Dark, hard, and melodic crustcore with some obvious references to Tragedy, but also stuff that reminds me more of Swedish bands like Personkrets 3:1 for instance. In other words, pretty much the same stuff as found on their CD from 2007 and that's just what I wanted. They have the heaviness, they have the catchiness, they have the well thought out riffs, and they have me digging like a madman. Excellent stuff and far better than many of their European and American counterparts. If I were to complain about anything it would be that the sound is a bit muddy, but as it's not crap I can live with it and the music is good enough to help me overcome this anyway. On the flip we have Kah-Roe-Shi from Malaysia which is a slightly more unpredictable bunch, showing their skills in everything from spastic powerviolence to sludge - all rolled into one. It's loud, violent, and twitchy… and I'm torn. I can't argue with the fact that this heavy as hell and really powerful and even remind me of His Hero Is Gone every now and then, but there's just something about it that I'm not in love with. I guess there are a few too many tempo changes in a too short period of time and it can seem a bit too schizophrenic. But still, Kah-Roe-Shi are good and Pazahora are great so this is a definite buy. Review : "SISTA SEKUNDEN shows Sweden once more how it can be fun to play hardcore, recycling OUTLASTS old saying "Positive hardcore positive youth" there follow-up to there debute record is way more melodic and with more chorus and sing-a-long parts. They have collected just as much influences from CAREER SUICIDE, OUTLAST of course and even early DESCENDENTS. This is the best record with modern hardcore out of Sweden since OUTLASTS above mentioned album - perhaps even better then that now classic record. The thing that relly makes SISTA SEKUNDEN to stick out is that they sing in swedish. SISTA SEKUNDEN brings energy and positivity back in the hardcore scene. 13 really good tracks (included a DESENDENTS cover sung in swedish). Vinyl version shows amazing artwork with hot foil print and full color sleeve and black print on the inside of the jacket. A modern classic!" - WASTED SOUNDS RECORDS

Review : Both bands play fast and thrashcore music. Jalan Sehala is from Ampang, Kuala Lumpur and Death of President is from Indonesia. Very good introduction for another blasting fast hardcore hailing from South East Asia. JxS play in the vein of Scholastic Deth with kinda punk rock touch, while DOP play more into thrashcore youthcrew.

Title : NUISANCE DRILLED - All Is Well, Euphoric Ending CDEP
Format : CD
Price : RM 10 / RM 11ppd
Pressing Info : 1000 Copies
Release Date : April 2009
Status : Available
CD Format : Gatefold
Album Info : The debut CDEP of heavy hitting howling sludge violence from the depth of Klang Valley. Featuring members of Sarjan Hassan, Banzai 606 and Injustice System Acceptance. Unleash / distributed by Revulsion Records & Dogma Artistic Guerrilla.
Review : "Nuisance Drilled on this recording consists of 3 members of Sarjan Hassan and 1 member from Banzai 606 which both are thrash core bands. But if you think this is another thrashcore band, you might be slightly wrong. They're more towards sludgecore with rocking guitar solos and vocals screaming as if he's seeing ghosts or maybe suffering unbearable pain. Hahah! This CDEP contains 6 tracks with samples from 'Enam Jahanam' movie between each song. A very 'artistic' and 'conceptual' EP. Come in digipack with the frontman's artwork scattered all over the inlay. Final sample is a revenge conversation from the movie, probably showing the revenge of the band after waiting too long to release this CD." - Nervhous Records

Tape Color : 100 Red / 100 Green / 100 Transparent

Review : This band explodes in a cacophony of drums but knows how to keep the thrash pounding right along without a self-defeating glitch. This is just hardcore done right. These guys have the call and response verse and choruses scream songcraft down. These were just thirteen good songs that went by too fast, but that’s okay because the B-side of the tape repeats it all again. –N.L. Dewart (Razorcake)
Leave it to Malaysia to kick out the jams with some sick fucking thrash. From the demo's title of Blasting Your Silly Head, to the cover image of a guy's head exploding from within, to lyrics like " We urge for all ages crew / We force for all ages crew / ALL AGES CREW", to covers of WHAT HAPPEN NEXT? and DS-13, these guys have all their bases covered. Another outstanding addition to the history of Southeast Asian thrash and hardcore. Killer. - xYosefx (MRR)
