Current mood:  accomplished
So, i'm winding down for Christmas. I'm planning of getting a few days away from the computer, and getting some painting done beefore heading to Scotland to hang out with the folks... which will be nice.
I can't believe that 2009 is over, in fact i'm not sure where it went at all. It feels like each month lasted about 10 day, but looking back, it seems like i did quite a lot of work.
It's been a fun year. I've embarked on new projects, met new people, met new clients, worked with new bands... all that sort of thing. It's been nice.
Anyways, i'd like to say a massive thanks to everyone who has take the time to contact me, hire me, help me, bought prints, looked at my work, ignored my work, shaken my hand, bought me a drink.... thanks!
There are some exciting things planned for 2010.
Hope everyone has a good Christmas, and 2010 is just as much fun!

Sooooo....
It's been a busy week round these parts. My entry into the Lost print series was released last night. It sold out in 2 minutes, which must be some sort of record for me. I'd like to thank anyone who picked it up, and thank the good folks from the Lost camp who actually comissioned it in the first place. THANKYOU! Even though it's now gone, you can still see it here: http://itookacoupleofflyinglessons.com/dcpb/millward-169693/

Earlier this week saw the release of the Beetlejuice poster i did for the Alamo Drafthouse, it's the second print i've done for them, and i hope it's not that last. It makes an interesting diversion from gigposters. I've been lucky with the movies they have selected me to produce work for, so it's been great. Again, big thanks to the Alamo folks, and to the people who bought it. Like the Lost print, it sold out in double quick time, but you can see it here: http://www.mondotees.com/sc/october-posters

Lastly, for this week anyway, we see the release of my recent Bon Iver poster. Personally i'm pretty fond of this poster. It turned out exactly as i had it in my mind, which ain't always the case, i can tell you. The band are one of my favorite of recent times ('For Emma..' and 'Blood Bank' are awesome, as is the Volcano Choir album if you aint heard that yet), and i'm very happy that i've now had the opportunity to make two posters for them. You can pick up the print for $20 ($20!?!?!) here: http://www.postersandtoys.net/servlet/Detail?no=976

Or, alternatively, if you don't like the band (seek help!), or haven't heard them and feel uneasy with having them on your wall, and want to avoid awkward conversation with visitors who quiz you about a band you have no idea about, there is an art print version available, in much smaller numbers. It's titled 'Oh Deary Me, Here Comes the Destroyer' in honour of a song by a band i like very much. You can pick up that slice of fried gold here: http://www.postersandtoys.net/servlet/Detail?no=975

So, that rounds up the week round these parts.
I've recently been working on the new line for Hide and Seek Apparel, along with my good friend Mr. Luke Drozd. That should see the light at some point soon. Before the year is out, or possibly early next year, should see the release of my watch with Vannen (https://www.vannenwatches.com/), which is pretty exciting, i'll keep you posted. There will be new stuff coming from Disturbia (http://www.disturbiaclothing.co.uk/), there are shirts and stuff up there now, if you want to have a look. I'm currently in the early stages of draughting designs for what will be my first toy. I've wanted to do this for ages, so as you can imagine, i'm pretty excited about the whole thing. I'll keep folks up to date on the development of that. In addition to all this lovely ness i'll be making album covers, cycling jerseys, shirts, art prints, paintings, posters. logos... all the usual stuff.

Sorry for the rambling post, but i'm not sure anyone reads this anyway.

Can't believe another year is almost over,

Drew
