I know we've been pretty out of touch lately, so I thought I'd just let everyone know we're still alive! 

There's a lot going on at the moment, even though it may not seem so from the outside looking in.  You'll be hearing more in the hopefully not too distant future.  We're expecting 2010 to be really busy and we'll keep you posted as things develop. 

In the meantime, we hope everyone has a great time over the holidays.  If you want to share some OLR with your friends, please feel free to check out iTunes, Amazon, or the Ebay Store (www.stores.ebay.com/one-less-reason-store) for downloads, cds, and shirts.

Hey everyone this is Cris... I know I haven't been around here much but I have been pretty much roaming around the United States writing and demoing the new cd and I have some great songs!! I am very excited for everyone to give it a listen. Now having the cd written and demo'd still means we are a good ways from being done. It is looking like I will start recording the new cd the first of November with producer and longtime friend Rick Beato. Rick was actually there the day we became One less reason and has been a supporter and believer ever since. i always say you stay loyal to those that are loyal to you and everything will be fine. Not to mention he is a fantastic producer and song writer.
     We are looking to have the cd actually in stores... and on Itunes the first Tuesday in February. And then we are gonna tour and then tour oh and tour some more. Can't wait to see all you guys. And i hope this blog finds you all content and with the ones you love.

Hey all,

You may have noticed a new widget on our page if you've stopped by recently for the Music Fashion Project.  This is a cool campaign we're taking part in with Tea Stain Clothing Co, along with Papa Roach, Framing Hanley and several other bands, to help out a great charity. 

Here's how it works:

1. You buy the t-shirt that is shown in the widget on our page or at the bottom of this message. 
2. The profits get donated to a music charity that we've chosen
3. That's it...you get a cool t-shirt and get to help us do something really cool.

We've chosen The Mr. Hollands Opus Foundation which donates instruments to school and after school programs to help kids get started in music.  If you remember the movie a few years back, this group was started by Michael Kamen who composed all of the music for the film.  You can read more about this organization here:  www.mhopus.org

We've added a new service to help manage our email lists and get started with street team activities.  You'll find the form to sign up on our myspace page on the left side about halfway down.  Drop us your email address and check the box if you want to be a street teamer.  When we come to your area, we can coordinate with you through Reverb Nation. 

If you already sent us your email address, we've added you already.  You may get an email from Reverb Nation asking if you'll accept emails from us.  Please, please, please say it's ok?!!?!?!

So we're working with Nestle and trueAnthem on some promotional stuff and as part of that, they've helped us make a new song available for free download to everyone.  For those of you who have been around a while, you may recognize this song, but this is a brand new version recorded specifically for this purpose.  You can embed this player on your page...in fact we HIGHLY encourage you to do so!!  Just go to this website (www.trueanthem.com/onelessreason), click on the SHARE button and you'll get the code.  If you want to download the song, click on the logo in the "widget" and it will bring up a list.  Click the "Add to Cart" button and when you check out, you'll get the download. 
This is also part of a contest, so the more of you that download the song and listen to the other songs that are streamed from this "widget," the more points we'll get.  If we win the contest, we'll be able to do more of this stuff in the future.  So if you want more free stuff, please help us out!!  Pass this along to your friends, post it on your page, or just come by our page and listen as much as possible!!  We really appreciate all of you and hope you'll enjoy the song!!

In the meantime, we've set this up to automatically play when you come to our myspace page.  The main player still works, you'll just have to start it on your own.  We can't have two songs playing at the same time, now can we???

We've been looking for other ways besides myspace to let everyone know what's going on with us. So we've added a text messaging notification tool to our page. Once you sign up, you'll receive updates from us regarding all things OLR. It'll help us notify you when we come to your area. A lot of us don't pay much attention to bulletins anymore and we know some folks have missed us because of this. With text messages, we can direct them to specific areas so we'll be able to notify only those that are the neighborhood we're in at the time. Hopefully we'll be able to let more of you know about shows so you won't miss them because you didn't know we were coming. So check it out....we promise we won't spam you and your number will NEVER be shared with anyone.

Already after 10 days of being launched we are closing in on 90 registered members.  That's a great accomplishment and it could not be done without you all, hope everyone joins and this board is for the OLR family to discuss whatever, whenever.  We will keep the tour schedule running on this board as well as discuss any new happenings with OLR.  Check it out!  This board is Tom Wopat approved :)
