I'm excited about my upcoming gigs in New York at the end of this month.  On Friday, September 26th at 8p, I will be performing in Astoria, NY @ Waltz-Astoria.  On Sunday, September 28th at 11p, I'll be performing at Otto's Shrunken Head, an East Village tiki bar, in NYC.  'Should be two great nights.  I know I will put on a great show for everyone at Waltz-Astoria and Otto's, and I can't wait. 

I'm a singer with label interest, management, plenty of gigs and a catalogue of hundreds of original songs who is seeking a keyboardist and drummer for a trio. 

We're looking for a drummer who is comfortable on a scaled back kit, able to set up a solid pocket, and able to record to a click track.  We're looking for a keyboardist who is comfortable on piano, rhodes and organ, who has a strong left hand for bass lines, and who understands how to leave space.  We're looking for a drummer and keyboardist who are able to accompany a singer and who understand country, folk, jazz, funk and rock and roll. 

If you decide to get involved, you won't make lots and lots of money right away - but when the band makes money, you will make money.  I have several consistent gigs in the Central Kentucky area and recently scheduled gigs at venues outside of Central Kentucky, and I hope to be playing more and more outside of Central Kentucky.

Thursday, September 11th, at 8:35 a.m., I will be interviewed on WKYW's "Frankfort Today", 1490 a.m. by host Stacey Brothwell.  We will discuss my new cd "bread crumbs, barbed wire", and I will play a couple of songs from the cd.

I am very excited about the interview and am honored that Stacey is having me on the show.  I hope you 'll be listening! 

New York City jazz/soul singer Leslie Casey is going to record my song "You can smoke over there" for her upcoming cd.  Leslie Casey bandmember Casey Howard arranged the song for Leslie and the band and let me know that the cd will recorded in October and November and will be released December/January. 

I wrote "You can smoke over there" in 2002 and it appeared on my album 'G-C-D'.  It's largely about God and sex - what else is there to write about, after all, really?? 

Leslie has a MARVELOUS voice and I'm so flattered that she is going to record my song.  Leslie is one of my top friends, so be sure to check out her page and songs.
