YolanDa Brown and band are on the road with Errol Brown on his UK Farewell Tour!  17 dates throughout February and coming to a town near you!

Errol Brown, the former Hot Chocolate frontman and writer of the hit songs, embarks upon his farewell tour performing throughout the UK in February 2009, exactly 40 years after the formation of Hot Chocolate.

Brown, who received an MBE for services to music in 2003, has not performed in the UK for 4 years.  The legendary singer, whose hit ‘It Started with a Kiss’ was voted one of the top 20 love songs of all time, says of this tour  “I’m doing this for my very loyal fans as I have been touched by their dedication all of my career. As a thank you I will be performing ALL the hits!”

The shows will feature ALL of his most popular songs, including ‘You Sexy Thing’, which re-ignited Brown’s popularity following its use in the hit movie The Full Monty, ‘Everyone’s a Winner’, ‘So You Win Again’  and of course, ‘It Started with a Kiss’.

Errol Brown’s career was launched in 1969 when John Lennon heard his reggae version of “Give Peace a Chance”, loved it and released it on Apple Records.  This event marked the creation of Hot Chocolate, with whom he sang until 1985.  Hot Chocolate achieved more than 30 hit singles, including 14 top-10s.  Brown left the band in 1985 and has since embarked on several successful solo tours of the UK.   In addition to receiving his MBE, he was also recipient of an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contributions to British Music in 2004.  A keen golfer, Brown now lives in the Bahamas with his wife of over 30 years.

A 2008 Winner in the "Best Jazz" category of the MOBO Awards (October 2008) and a UMA award nominee for Best Jazz, YolanDa Brown is widely regarded as the emerging "voice" of mainstream Jazz in the UK.

Following last April's sold out event and another huge-sucess of a show at Cadogan Hall on November 29 with Mica Paris (wow), Nate James (what a doll) and Sway (nice nice), MOBO AWARD WINNER saxophonist YolanDa Brown returns to the Jazz Cafe with her unique live concert featuring full Live Band and Special Guests covering a range of musical genres, including original compositions as featured on her "Finding My Voice" and "A Step Closer" EP's and much, much more.

YolanDa Brown has worked with artists ranging from fellow MOBO Awards Artists Courtney Pine and Terri Walker, the Quite Superb Soul Artist Mica Paris, soul-sensations The Temptations to Mercury Music Prize Saxophonist Soweto Kinch, Chicago Star Brenda Edwards, Jazz Calypso Legend Russ Henderson MBE, legends Ernest Ranglin & Sonny Bradshaw Queen of Lovers Rock Janet Kay and US Soul Legend Alexandra O Neal, MOBO Award Best Hip Hop Artist Sway, as well as UK Soul Singer Omar to name a few...

Something of an unusual 'crossover' star in the making (she's not a singer for starters)"-- Time Out

Hello People!

On July 13 in Blackheath Park, I'm joining some girlfriends to run for breast cancer at the Race For Life. Only a 5K run, but will be more for fun, fundraising and show of strength & support.

You have TWO options:

1) Join us (www.raceforlife.org) or,
2) Sponsor me

Either option works, but I'm trying to raise as much money as possible. So if you can manage a couple of squid AND run yourself, I will personally plant a kiss on your cheek.

Please donate through:

www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/clemmiegrigg

THANKS PEEPS!
