Ladies and Gentlemen:

We have received the master for the *brand new* album from The American Plague which will be titled... ::drum roll:: ..."Heart Attack"!

As we have stated several times before, the new album was produced by Ryan "Tater" "Thumbs" "Hydro" Johnson from the band 10 Years, and man did he ever produce a MONSTER of an album.

Anyway, we'll leave it up to you to decide whether you dig the songs or not, but I guarantee you that from a standpoint of sonics (how good something literally sounds), it's the best thing we've ever done. I think I can speak for the other guys when I tell you that we can't wait to unleash this beast on the public and let everyone hear it!

Anyway, stay tuned to our MySpace page for all things Plague!!!

So we have lots of stuff going on now. The mixing process for the new record is just about done. Then the new record will go to mastering and then it will end up in your eager hands or in your eager iTunes or whatever.

Anyway, we do want to thank the ton of people who packed Blue Cats last week for checking us out. Also thanks to our boys in 10 Years for inviting us to open for them. We had a blast, and judging by how damn DEAFENING all of you in the crowd were after all our songs, you must have had a blast too. Also kudos to our friends Copper, who did a bad ass job as well!

There are some new live pics up from that show, done by our great friend/music video/photo guy Scott W. Lee from 35 Degrees North and there will be even more pics up that were taken by our art director/buddy/crazy talented infamous asshole Travis Stevens!

So there you have it. The new stuff (produced by Ryan "Tater" "Thumbs" "Hydro" Johnson from the band 10 Years) sounds sonically superior to anything we've ever done. Plus it's being mixed by this guy Mike D. and Holy SHIT does it sound even huger(is this a word?) than ever before! And hell, even if you hate the songs at least it'll sound good. Haha, but seriously we think you'll dig it...

Sit tight and we'll throw the new shit up on the MySpace... soon...

Your friend,

D. Dammit

So after not keeping any of you informed for the last few months, I decided that it just may be time to give you an update... hehe. Anyway, I think that most bands writing an update/blog of this nature would now take the time to say something like, "Oh man! We're recording the best album EVER! We're playing the biggest shows we've EVER played! All these crappy labels are coming to make us crappy offers! There's the MOST BEAUTIFUL girls all over us ALL the time now! Things are just going AMAZING for US!!!"

Well... I ain't gonna feed you all that bullshit like all those other bands do. The bottom line is we've been practicing like we always have, and we sound amazing... but you already knew that. And our album is being mixed by this guy who's supposed to be real good named Mike D., and even though the guy who produced the damn thing, Mr. Ryan "Tater" "Thumbs" Johnson from the band 10 Years won't unleash it on us yet, it is supposed to be sounding amazing, fuckin' a. Also, we've done a few shows over the past few months. A couple of them were good, most sucked giant donkey gonads. But that's why we are who we are... we're like roaches man (georgous roaches with women following us everywhere), we don't go anywhere, we're here to fuckin' stay.

There's your update. Stay tuned. All the Knoxville fans, keep your ears open for a possible show in the next couple of months...

Yours truly,

D. Dammit

P.S. Congrats to our boys in Straight Line Stitch... "why congrats to them Dave?" Go to their damn MySpace page and read their damn blog and find out! Also, check out our friends in 10 Years on tour with Sevendust next month.

From www.americanplague.com:

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Tracking for The American Plague's new record is officially done! And to say that it has FAR exceeded our expectations would be a HUGE understatement. We went in about a month ago with some great songs and great ideas, but we didn't expect it to sound this damn good going to the mixing house. Big props to Ryan "Tater" "Hydro" "Thumbs" "Thumbface" Johnson from the band 10 Years for producing a true masterpiece of a record. We really love what we have done for this new album and we truly believe that you're gonna love it too. Also, be sure to check out the latest studio blogs on our MySpace.com page here. So now the record's gonna get mixed, mastered, replicated and then shipped off to your grubby, rock'n'roll-fiending hands. Hang tight and we'll have more news for ya soon!

And remember, The American Plague are playing with the Detroit Cobras THIS Wednesday, July 25th at Blue Cats in Knoxville's historic Old City district! Doors are at 8pm and tickets are cheap so be there!
