Collaboration between the two Belgian independent music distributors
Bang en [PIAS]

From 1 September 2008 on, [PIAS] will handle the logistic distribution in the Benelux of the Bang catalogue.

[PIAS] will also take a participation in Bang's capital, whilst the latter remains independent, preserving its management, personnel and labels.

In times where there's a continuously decreasing offer in the shops and within an ever tougher market, the alliance between the two largest Belgian independents will enhance the existence of independent labels in general and Belgian artists in particular, in the Benelux market, in an adequate way for the quality of their products and for their talent.

Damien Waselle/Bang: «It's a unique opportunity for Bang to join [PIAS] whilst staying autonomous. It will allow us to concentrate on our activities as a record company and publisher. I'm convinced that now more than ever the future lies in the hands of the independents and knowing that we will be supported by the [PIAS] network, first in the Netherlands and internationally after that, can presage only the best. [PIAS] will also help us in finding an easier access to the newest models in our industry, like digital distribution and mobile telephony».
