Current mood: amused
As you all know, we won't take part to Ketzer Fest 2009 due to the incompetence of the organizer, as we explained in detail in the previous 2 blogs. Facts proved us right: 1) Another band decided to quit the festival; 2) A lot of people is having trouble with tickets and other festival-related issues; 3) The guy is talking a lot of bullshit and lies to justify the fact that he can't handle a professional festival, blaming it on our band... We decided to ignore every further speculation, but we've just been informed that the guy now is going around saying that Zeche Carl (the venue) just sent him a mail saying that we're nazis and this is the reason why we're not part of the bill anymore. This is obviously another of his pathetic speculations, trying to throw shit on the band' reputation, playing on the usual nazi-paranoia. Of course you all know the band isn't right-winged and you know we don't give a shit about all this crap... But the worst thing is that the guy said this is the reason why we have been cancelled from the bill, when everybody knows since 10 days that WE called ourselves out of this festival due to the incompetence of the organizer. The guy first tried to justify himself saying that WE haven't answered his mails (bullshit), now he's trying to justify himself saying that he kicked us out of the festival because we're nazis. Take your own conclusions... In the beginning we tried to handle this Ketzer thing in a "peaceful" way, but since the guy is beheaving like a coward and trying to boycott us, our answer is : FUCK OFF YOU RETARD! We further invite all the loyal Forgotten Tomb supporters to boycott the festival. Thanx and see you soon- FT CREW

The organizer finally answered, after reading our latest blog. He said that he had sent e-mails but we didn't receive 'em. Now, even if it was true, on the MySpace Mail you can check in the "Sent" folder to see if e-mails went our or not, so we cannot take this as an excuse, especially when important matters (like booking flights and such) are in the picture. It's not the first time we take flights and we get organizers to book them for us, and we never had problems, so wonder who's the problem here. In addition, I know some speculation against the band already started, something like "It's Forgotten Tomb's fault 'cause they didn't answer to e-mails": well, this is utter BULLSHIT. We never missed a show in our entire career, the only time it happened was because we crashed our car on a snowy highway on the fucking Alps during December, so go figure. We played at Festung Open Air 2009 in front of 1500 people regardless of the fact that our guitar-player broke his hand 2 days before the show. We played Firebox Metal Fest 2009 regardless of the fact that our bass-player was unable to come with us due to a serious illness. So, go figure. We always play IF we have flights booked and some conditions to respect. This is it. We won't accept any further speculations about our band. We don't care if the other bands will take part to the festival or not. There aren't the conditions to play at this festival for FT, so we won't play. Again, we're sorry for the fans. Take your own conclusions.

Current mood: determined
The band will NOT headline or take part in any way to the Ketzer Fest 2009 as previously announced.
We've been really clear with the organizer since the beginning about conditions. We confirmed our partecipation to the festival during the first half of October and we asked to have flights booked as soon as possible. On October 26th the guy asked us for the airport from where we had to fly, so we answered and we waited for some reply. But on November 25th (1 month later) the flights still weren't booked and there was a complete lack of communication. We even started to doubt that the guy actually booked the venue for the show, so we wrote to the guy and we called ourselves out of the festival.
The organizer didn't give us any explanation. Instead of facing the situation and promptly providing the flights we asked for almost 2 months earlier, he replied that he had actually booked the venue and then "fuck you". We replied that we didn't mean to offend him and we basically gave him the chance to save the situation and find an agreement, but we haven't got any answer yet, so today we're here to officially announce that we won't take part to Kezter Fest.
We did not even sign any contract for the show and we never knew all the details about the show. Since we have regular jobs and we need to take vacations to play a show in another country, we can't wait longer to know if the show is gonna happen and if our conditions are gonna be respected. This is not the way we are used to work and I guess every professional band would not work this way either.
We're sorry for the german fans but it's not our fault. See you at Kings Of Black Metal 2010! Sincerely,
FT CREW

Hi there- Courtesy of user Angrembor ( www.myspace.com/angrembor) we finally have some footage from the glorious live-show at Festung Open Air 2009, where FT co-headlined on Sunday. The song is a medley of "Disheartenment", "Alone" and "Steal My Corpse", as we usually play it live in the recent live shows. A version of this medley has also been recorded for the long-awaited "Vol.5" live-in-studio album, to be released hopefully before December 2009. Enjoy the video, leave a comment and vote!! We also added some new live dates, check them out. Some more should be added very soon, so stay tuned for updates...

Hi there- Many of you are wondering when this release will be finally made available. We apologize for the many delays but we're currently solving some burocratic issues. In addition, in Italy during August every office stops working and it's basically impossible to progress and cope with the above mentioned burocratic issues, so the release of the album slipped to this Autumn, hopefully during September/October 2009. Avantgarde Music will release the album on the European territory under license from our personal new-born company Eyehatelabels Records, and a limited special-package will also be available. We're still negotiating the license deal for the US version. Stay tuned for additional updates, thanx for reading and keep it negative!!

Hi there- The new monumental double live in studio "VOL.5: 1999-2009" has been finally mastered and it's ready to enter the printing factory. This means we'll have it out and available pretty soon, like in June 2009 or so. Negotiations with the label who's gonna release it are work-in-progress too. An european release will come first, then a US release will follow shortly after. New samples from 3 songs of it are online now!! Be sure to check them out and leave a comment, and spread the word!! In the meantime, the band has been confirmed for the big italian open-air festival Agglutination XV and a few other gigs, be sure to check them out!! The band is also working hard on the new full-lenght album "Under Saturn Retrograde", and it's negotiating a deal with labels to produce it and release it. The band could enter the studio again soon to record it, most probably in the end of 2009. Laterz-

Hey! New double live in studio "VOL.5: 1999-2009" is almost completed. It took some extra time due to delayed mixing sessions and stuff like that. This week is gonna be mastered and then the master will be delivered to the licensed label who will take care of the printing, promotion and stuff. We hope to release it in Europe around June 2009. US release and vinyl version will follow during the summer/autumn 2009. In the meantime the band is planning some additional live-shows in Europe and we started rehearsing the new songs for the next brand-new full-lenght album titled "Under Saturn Retrograde". 6 songs have been already written and confirmed, and other 2 songs are in the making, so the album should include 8 tracks. 1 cover-version might be recorded too, but it's still to be confirmed. More news will follow...

Hi guys- The band finished the recording-sessions for the "VOL.5" double-album a couple of weeks ago. The band is currently in the process of mixing and mastering the whole thing. Just to make it clear: we listened to a simple pre-mix, and it already kicks ass!! All the songs sound even better than on the original releases, and the album is seriously the closest thing to a real FT live-show that you can experience. We think it's gonna be a very meaningful release, not just some "filler" between "Negative Megalomania" and the new "Under Saturn Retrograde" album. The album should be ready pretty soon. The artwork and inner layout is being put together too, and it looks great! The booklet will include liner notes from Herr Morbid about each song, as well as all lyrics. The band self-produced the album, in collaboration with Moonlight Studios, and is currently negotiating a license-deal for the release of this magnum opus. It seems like a label has already been found actually, but additional news will be spread later. The band expect to release "VOL.5" before June 2009. A sample from the album will be posted very soon, so stay tuned for more news! Keep it negative-
