All this technology....selling music, on my myspace page.  I really feel like I missed out on some stuff from the past.  Selling a cassette tape that I recorded on a 4-track in my bedroom, in a Queen West used record store would have been amazing. 

I'm a little too young, and a little too old. .

Old enough that I played the Gasworks...but not old enough to have played the original Gasworks. 

Who misses tape hiss?  not me friends.  I do enjoy unlimited tracks and auto tune.

internet...cable.......the whole works is now fully functional at my place.

 Haven't had internet since late feb...and haven't had cable in 10 years or something.  I'm amazed at how much, and low little there is on tv.  no complaints.  I love that I can turn on the tv and pretty much be guaranteed to be able to watch either the simpsons or seinfeld at any time.

tired today..unreal.  Jeff Scott came over to rehearse last night. 

After watching some extras on the superman 1 DVD, we got a pad of paper and worked out some songs to play.

.....I don't think a note was really played, but we did finish off most, if not all the beer in the house, and decided we definitely need a banjo on a few songs.

high hopes for a monday rehearsal. 

I'm really missing internet access at home.  Can't update my site, can't register photoshop (after formatting my drive)....I feel like  I have some sort of sensory deprivation or something.  No tv either....

I went for a bit of a walk at lunch...about to cross the street, and I see a lady, who in my mind, I think looks a little crazy. 

sure enough...stands on the corner, puts her hands behind her backs and proceeds to yell:  HOT ITALIANNN SAUSAGES........HOOOT ITALIAN SAUSAGES.

...and so on.

and no....she was not selling them, nor did she have, to my knowledge, anything to do with hot italian sausages.

I cancelled my phone with Bell, and cancelled the internet...going with Rogers.

I think Bell should spend less time animating CGI beavers and work on providing a better service.

That was the longest flight yesterday...We got into Vancouver alright from Terrace, but then our flight was delayed for 4 hours....sitting on the plane, all ready to go....then they get on saying something's wrong with the landing gear...and we De-planed and sat in a bar for the 4 hours.

The flight was long....watched "Thank you for smoking", talked, had some food, a kid puked and we were in Toronto.

Kitimat is actually where the gig is.  we just flew into Terrace and then drove here.  Fun flight - just sat on the plane and yapped.  we laughed our asses off at this guy that came running up to his gate with his boots held high screaming "Waiit!!! Waiiittttt!!!" as they closed his gate....only for him to realize that it wasn't his gate after all. 

I think he made his flight.....not sure. 

After landing in Kitamat we got picked up in a limp and wisked away to our apartments. 

I should say "insanely stocked" apartment - beer, wine, gift basekets, chocolate bars, nuts, wafers...just unreal...and all for the taking.

And tonnes of coffee....which I'm going to make now. 

...coffee is on.  Jeff is still sleeping in his room.  It's way cooler than a hotel cuz I can just get up and do what I want without waking anyone up.  It's like 6:30.

so last night we just ate and rank ourselves stupid we got picked up again and driven to the gig.  a cool classic rock band opened up for us...

Oh yah, we're playing the Alcan company picnic.  Two days of entertainment, free food and fun....and at the end of the night there was the biggest fireworks display I've even seen.  Not sure why, but Jeff stayed in the trailer...  The gig was ok....a bit loud on stage, and my tone sucked.   

That company really treats their employees great...My company rigged a movie night, with a free soda and popcorn. 

Pretty much the same thing.

2:30 pm.

I'm sitting in the apartment playing guitar and watching tv.  The rest of the band are driving around in the limo on a tour of the area.  We walked around this morning...I saw enough, and the limo gets crowded - I don't know how Carrot Top does it. 

Up early making some coffee and having some juice.  The gig last night sounded way better.  Guy let loose with some stage antics, and the rest of us played a little better because of it.

Packed...ready to roll.

way too early.  Flying to BC today for a gig..and it's way too early right now. I think I'm packed enough..all that crap.  Guitar...check, Strap....check, Cord, picks, strap locks....check, check, check...ok I can do the gig..

all the other stuff....we'll see.  I always take too much underwear and socks.  

ok..better get some coffee and get to the airport.

I just saw on the news....someone did a test and they've found that longer hours and more stress at work causes high blood pressure.

No shit huh?

Someone had to do a test to find this out?  There should be a panel or something that people who want to do tests have to go to, so the panel will ask..."what do you want to find out?"

and then the scientists will say, "well, we were going to do some tests to see if stress causes high blood pressure...can we have some research money and facilities?"

Then the panel would say "no, that's fu**ing stupid.  You cure cancer and aids, and then you can test whatever the hell you want"

I have a theory that cheeseburgers, beer,  and no exercise makes you fat....maybe I can get a tonne of money to do a test to find this out....oh wait..I have been.
