10 FOR $10 SUMMER HARDCORE TOUR!

HEADLINED BY

POISON THE WELL, MADBALL, VISION OF DISORDER & BANE

APPEARANCES BY TERROR, CRIME IN STEREO, VISION, WAR OF AGES, DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR, TRAPPED UNDER ICE, THE GHOST INSIDE, THE MONGOLOIDS, THIS IS HELL, AND MORE!

IndieMerchStore.com is bringing back the hardcore matinee! Amid economy woes, rising show costs and the dilution of hardcore packages, they will present the 10 For $10 summer tour. Ten quality bands for ten dollars, headlined by Poison The Well, who will be performing on every date, and on separate legs of the tour headline spots from Madball, Bane and Vision Of Disorder. Also appearing will be established bands with rabid followings such as Terror, Death Before Dishonor, War Of Ages, Crime In Stereo, Trapped Under Ice, The Mongoloids, The Ghost Inside, This Is Hell and Vision. Speaking on the creation of the tour booking guru Tim Borror of The Agency Group said, "This tour is important because hardcore music is a lifestyle and has been an inspiration to the people who get involved and know what the movement and music is all about. In the last few years the crowds have been a bit smaller than what they should be and we hope an idea like this where kids are getting an opportunity to check out a lot of bands for cheap will inspire some new kids to come out, get involved and become a part of this scene to help it grow."

Echoing the sentiment Freddy Cricien of Madball said, "This 10 for 10 tour concept is way overdue in my opinion. I'm glad and thankful, that the people involved, stepped up to actually make something like this happen! Our genre (Hardcore) in the states, is in a "strange" place right now. There is somewhat of a lack of appreciation for this "sub-culture". A lot of people want to say they know certain bands, or are affiliated with this underground scene,etc,etc... Because it gives them some credibility, it sounds cool! Well, this is everyones chance to re-introduce themselves, and actually get involved with a very unique and authentic genre/movement. It's also a chance for all of us, the bands, to show our stuff as well!"

Poison The Well's guitarist, Ryan Primack, says, "This tour is really exciting to us as it shows some massive diversity that occurs in the hardcore scene. I think it’s really amazing that Tim put this group of bands together. Some of bands on this tour have really shaped the good things that are happening in hardcore right now. Without some of the bands on this tour I doubt we would even be a band. Were honored and privileged to be sharing the stage with them." Poison The Well's new album, The Tropic Rot, will be released via Ferret Music on July 7th.

Additional tour sponsors also include Facedown Records, Century Media Records, Pitchfork Hardwear, Bridge Nine Records, Peta2, Black N Blue Productions, Hollywood Music TV, Ferret Music and The Agency Group.

Or so we like to think.

Here's some updates:

The Atticus Metal Tour is now over and what a complete BANGER it was.  We were obviously a bit skeptical going into the tour being the complete odd one's out but it ended up working out perfectly for everyone.  We want to thank Winds of Plague & Emmure for even considering taking us out on their tour and then treating us with the upmost love once they did, and of course All Shall Perish & The Ghost Inside for another great tour on our list of tours together checked off.  Big up's to ABACABB (and thanks for all the C-LO money. HAHA!) and Underneath The Gun for the great times too.  Extra special thanks to the people that saw us for the first time on this tour and had nothing but positive things to say about the experience they shared with us.  And of course eternal love for the TERROR POSSE that continues to come support us no matter who we may be playing with.

Our Summer European tour is almost completely booked.  Just a few more countries to confirm and it's all set.  All the dates that we have so far are up in the "shows" section of our page and we just added a couple of more today including adding the almighty HATEBREED to our gig in Paris.  For those that don't know yet we're going to have our close friends in BORN FROM PAIN, STICK TO YOUR GUNS & TRAPPED UNDER ICE are coming along with us.  We're ending our whole tour in Germany at WITH FULL FORCE festival and it couldn't be a more fitting end of tour party.

We have an exclusive merch design which is an interpretation of our "The Damned, The Shamed" album artwork has done by the infamous Craig Holloway who did the original COLD AS LIFE artwork.  This design is INSANE! Click the banner below to check it out:

Last but not least, TERROR is officially on the phenomenon known as "twitter".  You can check us out here: www.twitter.com/terrorhardcore

That's it for now.  Australia & South East Asia, we'll see you soon.  Europe, we'll see you sooner.

Peace.

Here's an article from Canadian music blog exclaim.ca:

Terror Recruits No Warning's Jordan Posner

1/22/2009 By Josiah Hughes

Longstanding Los Angeles hardcore kingpins Terror
have just announced the departure of guitarist Doug Weber, who was
“sick of living in a van 90% of each year and wanted to live a more
normal life.”

In a MySpace blog,
front-man Scott Vogel expressed his understanding, stating, “We can't
really blame him for that decision, as there are times when I hate this
shit too. It's a real wake up call for anyone that thinks touring is
ALL fun or that Terror as a band have it easy in any way. I honestly
thought that Doug leaving may have been the end for us. Doug had been
in the band for a very long time and I was starting to feel that all
the line-up changes might start to make us look like a joke, but Nick
and Martin sternly told me that this is NOT the end and that we have a
lot more to accomplish. So we pushed on, as always.”

The blog also reveals that the band have found an immediate replacement
in Jordan Posner, former guitarist for influential Toronto hardcore
band No Warning. “The only person we had even really talked about or
spoke to about stepping up to fill the Big Man's shoes was our friend
Jordan from the now defunct Toronto HC band No Warning,” Vogel says.
“For anyone that knows me or has read interviews with me you'll know
that I love No Warning and really all of Terror do. Jordan has proved
to be an amazing songwriter and dude so we are excited about this
change.”

Posner is the second No Warning member to join an influential hardcore
band, with former vocalist Ben Cook becoming Fucked Up’s third
guitarist last year.

You can catch Posner and his new band with the home court advantage
when Terror pull up in Toronto for the Atticus Metal Tour on March 17.

A few things I wanted to touch on:

First, just wanted to thank everyone that made '08 another great year for Terror. We got to travel the world, put out a new record that I really believe may be our best and of course do a lot of hanging out and laughing. So thanks to all the people that always look out for us and make sure we're all safe. All the people that come to shows, buy shirts and CD's and support us in any way. Tim, Nate, Paul, Chucky, Smac, Kent, PK,  Ray and the rest of our team. We are all healthy, young and free!

So I'm sure if you follow the band that you see we've had some line-up changes again. Buske leaving the band and David Wood stepping in on bass is semi old news but still news. David is a perfect fit for us. We wanted someone with youth and energy and we got exactly what we asked for. Buske has still been helping out the band however he can and was even spotted in the pit at our show in NYC for "Betrayer" I believe. That made me smile. Not too long after that change our guitarist Doug let the band know that he was leaving too. He pretty much said he was sick of living in a van 90% of each year and that he wanted to live a more normal life. We can't really blame him for that decision as there are times when I hate this shit too. It's a real wake up call for anyone that thinks touring is ALL fun or that Terror as a band has it easy in any way. I honestly thought that Doug leaving may have been the end for us. Doug had been in the band for a very long time and I was starting to feel that all the line-up changes might start to make us look like a joke, but Nick and Martin sternly told me that this is NOT the end and that we have a lot more to accomplish. So, we pushed on as always. The only person we had even really talked about or spoke to about stepping up to fill the Big Man's shoes was our friend Jordan from the now defunct Toronto HC band No Warning.  For anyone that knows me or has read interviews with me you'll know that I love No Warning and really all of Terror does. Jordan has proved to be an amazing song writer and dude so we are excited about this change. We're going to do some touring with him to make sure he can handle our insanity and he'll be the new guitarist if all fits how we think it will.

2009 is off to a cool start. We started off with a quick 5 show run on the East Coast with NYHC legends Maximum Penalty. If you don't know this band then you should definitely check them out. Our shows in Costa Rica and Panama had to be rescheduled, which sucks, but it's already in the works for when we can set new dates. We hitting Hawaii next week  and then doing some shows in CA with MADBALL!!!!!!! and Stick To Your Guns. Europe is in the process of being booked for May / June with Trapped Under Ice and Stick To Your Guns. We have some really cool ideas being thrown around for the Summer time in the USA and of course Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, South America, Africa, Southeast Asia and Korea are all hopefully going to be covered after the Summer. We want to come back to Puerto Rico and hit Alaska for the first time, so anyone reading this that does booking there, GET AT US.

Lastly, the only tour I haven't touched on is the Emmure / Winds of Plague / All Shall Perish / The Ghost Inside tour. It's going to be a full U.S. tour through March and April. Terror has always been the type of band that is willing to step outside the box and play with anyone. We don't want to play the same show over and over again and don't want to just play to kids that have already seen us so many times before. I truly believe that a lot of the kids that will be at these shows need a good dose of HC reality.  If they have never seen or felt some true traditional HC before, then the time is now. They need to hear the things I have to say and feel our energy more than the people that already know what's up. To anyone that will complain about the line-up and door price ect., that's cool. I understand but still hope that you find a way to make it to the show and support Terror. To all those closed minds who want to write us off   and say that we are "this" or "that" because we play on a certain kind of tour, you're a joke to me. Better off without you. And to those that are excited for these shows like we are and are looking forward to diving on many peoples heads and creating amazing energy, I say hell yeah to you. I'm asking all you kids that believe and live this to come out and show this whole new young scene what is up. We played a show recently in Toledo, OH with Emmure and As Blood Runs Black and many HC kids showed up. As soon as we hit our first note the kids went nuts. The show was insane, intense and I could tell a lot of people at that show had never seen or felt anything like it before. I had so many young kids approach me and tell me they loved the vibe and it was so new and fresh to them. That is a beautiful thing. That is what we need. Spreading the hardcore reality in '09. This is for everybody.

Be safe,

Scott Vogel & Terror

Here's so video footage from the "Choose or Lose, Vote or Die" tour we did with As Blood Runs Black that we did earlier this year in Nov. 2008. The footage came out great and the show was bananas. A huge thanks to everyone involved in filming this and also those going insane with some quality stage diving.
