Pushing Pussy Records are very proud to be joining forces with the legendary DJ/producer Andrew Weatherall (Primal Scream, MBV, Bjork etc) for this very special one off event at brand new venue The Rest Is Noise in Brixton

The night will feature DJ sets from Andrew and performances from both our EP bands - The Palpitations and The Lovebirds - as well as Squirrel Skin Slippers, who were previously featured on our first anniversary compilation CD. With an entry price of zero pounds we're sure you'll agree this is a night not to be missed!

I have uploaded some new shots of us playing last month at The Borderline taken by John Barrett. - thank you John!
 
I have realised if I get up early enough I can just Blog away without anyone knowing!!!!  We are filming a viral ad for the Down Home festival tomorrow so watch out for that, no doubt Ill blog it, now Im in the know!!!!

Must go now to join in on a protest to prevent our local bingo hall from being turned into another church !!we want a Ritzy cinema!!  Must get on with my sign making.....

After lovingly dying 35  t'shirts on Sunday I am contemplating getting the iron out !! Its an almighty mountain of ironing!! So we now have green, white,  yellow, pink, jean blue, bright blue I even had a crack at tye dye after having a catch up with Iza from Florence and the machine looking sexy in a tye dye body! and i am officially over how much fun it is to dye by hand!!!

However I am very excited that I too ....

Was just sitting down to write this blog when I stupidly rubbed my eyeball with some chili on my finger....so I have to write this one eyeballed :-0 not the cleverest idea in the world!

Festivals 2009

As you may have noticed we have a spate of Festivals coming up (very excited), starting next week with two dates at Glastonbury (thanks to the Bimble Inn for having us!!! Myself or Lucy have never been to Glastonbury,  so will be a great pleasure to pop our Glasto cherry actually playing there) and culminating with the Down Home Festival on the 11th of July so break out your suncream and wellies, The Lovebirds are a coming your way!

September Vinyl Release


We have also been in talks with Pushing Pussy Records about a Vinyl Release in September, which is very exciting. Trying to choose two tracks to throw on there! The release will be available in early September.

New Website


Finally, finally, finally! After being a bit like the boy that cried wolf with our website, we are very excited about our new site which will go live on Friday 19th June (this coming Friday) so stayed tuned for that!!!

Valentines Mayhem


Thanks to everyone that came along to The Alma and helped make the night pretty special. A ridiculous evening was had by all. We ended up loosing the band money, getting locked out of our flat and having to sleep (6 of us) on Micky's floor, well, its only Rock N Roll...
