Hi there,
Winter has come to Nottingham, we're preparing for hibernation by writing some warming songs so there's not a great deal to report. In the meantime, here are a couple of videos of us playing live on our recent tour. Enjoy!
These videos were filmed live at the Snooty Fox in Wakefield, a thoroughly ace venue.
Cheers,
Aidan ToR

Sup yo!
We're playing at Rock City tomorrow night with our buddies in Swound!. It's their single launch night so should be good so if you're in Nottingham and have nothing to do then come on down. If you do have something to do then cancel it and come to this instead!
Woop!

Hi Dudes,
Been a hectic couple of weeks playing gigs - thanks to everyone who's come out to see us, we've had a wicked time. Unfortunately our gig in Nottingham this Thursday has been cancelled but will hopefully be rescheduled at a later date. Sorry if you were planning on coming along, we were really looking forward to playing but hey ho, we'll be back! We're hoping to line up another series of gigs as soon as we can so look out for news on those. Also, check out the photos below of us on our October adventures.
We're hoping to get a video of us playing live in Wakefield at the Snooty Fox online at some point this week, so look out for that.
Hope is well with you all!

Hi,
First off, thanks to everyone who's downloaded the new single so far - hope you're enjoying it. Some people have had a few issues downloading the single and as a result we've made a few changes to the way it is available - here they are:
1. The single is now available for free from our bandcamp page as 320kbps mp3 files including a pdf artwork. There are also various other high quality formats available from the bandcamp page, all of which are also free. The previously available 128kbps mp3 option has been removed due to changes to the services offered by bandcamp.
2. Due to there being no charge for any of the versions of the single available from our bandcamp page you will no longer be prompted to pay for the single. You will simply be asked for your email address to which a download link will be sent.
3. Your email address will be added to our mailing list from which you can unsubscribe at any time by emailing thousandsofreflections@hotmail.co.uk with the subject 'unsubscribe'. If you choose to stay on the mailing list you'll get occasional missives from us about ToR related stuff!
4. If you downloaded the 128kbps version feel free to download the new high quality version. You'll be asked for your email address again but won't be added to our mailing list multiple times.
5. If you're desperate to pay for a copy of the single, you can do this via the iTunes Store.
6. If you have a question that hasn't been addressed here then please contact us at thousandsofreflections@hotmail.co.uk and we'll do our best to help. Like the Teenage Mutant Hero/Ninja Turtles would've done.
Cheers,
ToR

Yo dudes,
Just to flesh out Adam's blog about the T-Shirts and Single, here is all the vital info in one easily digestible blog:
The other big news is the release of our new download only double-A single 'Sawhooks and Chains | Call Me Ishmael'. You can download both tracks for free as 128kbps mp3 files at our bandcamp page. The download also includes a sweet pdf artwork file to accompany the release. If you prefer higher quality audio then for a small fee £2 you can download the songs in a variety of formats. The songs should also be on the iTunes store as of 1st October - we'll link to it as soon as it appears.
To entice you further, here's what the critics have to say about the single:
"...just perfect for the current summer-to-autumn transition we're in the throes of...guitar rock at its finest, grabbing you at the first note" LeftLion issue 31 (Kristi Genovese)
"Awesome riffing gives way to angelic vocals, full of post-hardcore juxtapositions and some inspired melodies - give this Nottingham band your attention and you’ll be bowled over by their invention and potency!" subba-cultcha.com (Jeremy Chick)
"TOR have pedigree – and an intriguing approach to alt-rock. Sawhooks And Chains recalls Tool and the Smashing Pumpkins, and it's a thought-provoking melody. Call Me Ishmael is equally fluent, with tinges of indie and metal that demonstrates exceptional flair." Nottingham Evening Post (Matthew Smith)
We've got some new gigs coming up this month to promote the single, so hope to see at one of those. We should be adding a London date to the mini-tour in due course so keep checking back to see when that will be.
Take care,
Aidan x

Hello everyone! Just a quick update to let y'all know that ToR are releasing the double A-side single 'Sawhooks and Chains'/'Call me Ishmael' on 1st October. The single will be available for free download from www.thousandsofreflections.com This is ahead of our mini-album to be released early 2010 if all goes to plan, the songs for which are coming together nicely! To coincide with the release we will be playing a number of dates across the U.K- please see our myspace page to see if their are any you can make. If we are not playing in your area please get in touch and we will see what we can do! In other news, the first ever batch of ToR T-shirts were delivered this week and look pretty super cool. Although in the photo I have seen Aidan was wearing one, which obviously didn't do it justice. Take it easy chums Adam x P.S It was a choice between 'The Hunt for Rock October', 'Octobervest' and 'I know what you did Last October' I trust you will agree I made the right choice
What strange formatting arrangements myspace has made for this.

Hi Dudes, We're still working away in our practice room and flats around Nottingham trying to write as many awesome songs as possible. It's going well, plenty of harmonies and important discussions about how to play the perfect two beat silence. Just thought I'd check in here to upload some (non) action packed pictures of the practice room which I thought were pretty cool. You'll notice that Bruce Willis takes pride of place in the room, he's been a big influence on our music. Expect the next album to be dubbed Yippe-Ki-Yay or somesuch!
