Current mood:  calm
Category: Music

Started out as a normal day up at 2pm in the morning. I looked at the clock and think "dang nabbit missed nieghbours" I packed my bags with everything except the stuff I need and not so soon enough bear turns up with the Shazza. we pickdup dunk and set off to Yr yrstog to pack the 'quippy into the shazz.

We set off stopped at oswestry services and were given our Band allowence (£20) for the three days. we went for the meal deal £2.50 for a sandwich chrisps, and a drink. Jamie was gonna try and sneak a cream egg into the bag but in the queue noticed they were searching all the bags and lost his nerve. I (Jonny) won the award for least money spent dunk was gonna get it but was taken out of the running by a double chocolate bar deal.

anway now well on our way to bangor we went through three tununels which was brilliant I thought the second was the best. the sun went down and we all got a bit crazy!

For once we actrually arrived early at the venue so we had a bit of time to sit down wonder what was going on, find out then go and find some tea and coffee which was well £xpensive. it wasnt enough so we found a kebab shop. bear was well arsy and indecisive, and the guy took his kebab round back for ages so we recon the guy "wapped on off " in his Pitta as bear put it.

We met all the bangor lot, good to see em again we were playing with two other bands both were pretty cool, we played 2nd and had a blast although it was pretty fuckin loud and my ears were fucked.

We have no photos of the gig :( we never do really

after the gig we went upstairs to the other rooms, they have a dance room and a metal room and we were tipped off that snake bite is the cheapest drink. so we gott em in, bear spent all his allowance at this point. Dunk was doing the best and got the most drunk cos he found a way of tricking the bar into free drinks.

After the gig and hours of drunken antics we went to sleep, struvas let us stay in his room which was great, hehe and bear realised he had bought his sisters sleeping bag which only came up to his bear pecks. we were just drifting off at around 5 or 6 and dunk thought shit i dont think we locked the shazz (15 mins walk across bangor and back. so me and him went and checked... it was locked! Sleeeeep!!!

we awoke and 3pm in the morning and pretty swiftly headed to Lydl's to buy really shit food and head to liverpool.

The drive to liverpool was sound, Jamie had bought a couple of cans of Tiger Energy "Energy for your Sould" and a coffee drink and came up and down in about 5mins

We arrived pretty much bang on time. but Shazzanav tricked us and made us follow a car into a pedestrian area turn a corner and look behind as the bollards came up. the chap obviosly had a keycard stylee doober. we drove to all the exits but there were bollards everywhere, So I ran to the venue to say we had arrived and what the problem was while they tryed to get out.

we arived to see Big Hand there which was great and cheered me right up. The feeling of the stuck up snobby Cavern Club was making me sick.
we played at about 12 Midnight and had loads of fun. but once again have no pictures of us playing.
Afterwards we tryed to see how many people arived an get our deposit back but it turns out they didnt have anyone on the door. they said they did but they diffinately didnt becuase our freinds didnt have to pay and they deffo arrived before 11 because we saw Big hand on at 10:30. so the Cavern Tricked us out of money which the must do to so many bands.

Cavern Club = Shit Venue, Just A Gimmick, Bunch of Fuckwits, No Passion for Music, and Riding on the fact that the beatles happend to play there. (the sound guy was ok tho)

we were staying at our freind El's house her house is well nice. she had 2 comfy sofas and 2 matresses so we all had a pretty comfy nights sleep. apart from the 10am Get UP!!

But im glad we did because it meant that we got to see how sunny it was that day. We were traffic Jammin' all the way there, but had loads of time!!

Next stop was Colwyn bay we arived extremely early for our gig, so we found a music shop and had a massive look around and played on all there stuff. Bigg Up "Music Makers" in Colwyn Bay good chaps. we then had breakfast in this random place which we soon realised was where we were playing, Shabba. I went for the healthy option.

Whilst we had time to kill me and jamie went to all the charity shops and bought loads of tapes for the Shazza and a Frizzbee. We then met up with bear and dunk on the beach and bought Ice Creams. we sat about then went for a game of Frizzer on the beach.

we all got back in the shazza span all the seats round and chilled out to "automatic for the people" by R.E.M one of our new tapes.

Time passed and we played our gig in Speakers Corner which felt like a youth club open mic night but was still fun!!

Then we Shazza Packed, on with Sister Act sound track and began the ride home

Current mood:  nostalgic

BANGOR - THE MENAI BOTB

We left the shire in "good time", but bear forgot to get the postcode so we rang up got that and slam'd it into the shazznav, and jane told exactly where to go.

Sadly we have no pictures of the actual gig or the venue but if someone has could they let us know and we'll put it up here if they will let us.

on the way up we ran into a few timing issues and arived pretty late but it was ok, we were greeted by some familiar faces, nice one to the bangor lot. I once again purchased one of my favorite burgers in northwales at the moment "The Menai Cheese Burger" it was lush!

we played for about half an hour had a great time got through to the next round which was brill, it means we get to go back to bangor sometime soon.

we then stopped at the shop for supplies then went on an adventure to bryn dinas first floor where the party was kickin off, we listned to a bit of Funk The System really loud, then the security guy came in and spoiled our fun and the fun of the other people in the halls!! we turned it up so everyone could hear... well charitable!

Jimmer                                              Dunk

while the warden was lurkin we, went for a rome and found some people who we followed to the thrid floor or "3" as they say, they had a bouncy castle a new toaster and were mostly studying sea life and stuff, cheers to 3 for the hospitality and the Coit HA!

Some Bassists Chat (spot the difference) ,
I wish Bear (left) didnt get his hair cut.
It would be classic.

66% condiments, Bear and James                 Mini Waller (Herd Rep)

Megs and Struvs (Bangors Shire Reps)
Cheers guys for the Beer, Pizza, Support and Roof
Sorry bout the smell Bear is sorry.

we all then piled in to a room, except jim and dunk who slept in't Shazz Wagon
and all passed the fuck out! which is odd cos i remeber thinkin I CANT SLEEP then I woke up. the room smelled Baaaad!

we then slowly wandered to morrisons where we pickup the extremely shit not so cheap breakfast it looks ok, but the bacon tasted like fish.

we got back to Shazzerfax, opened all the doors aired him out
but it didnt work we just got used to the smell

Jim Jam Gives the all clear to leave on his 12th hour in the Shazz awful pleased cos they figured out how to spin the front seats round
we rush home and arive intime to sit down wiv a cuppa
and catch the end of neighbours.

Current mood:  drained

Hiya i got bored and decided I will write about all our gigs from now on so I can read back and remeber.

Bristol - Mr Wolfs Noodle Bar

This place is brilliant its quite small but a hell of a nice atmosphere, they gave us free beer and noodles, we played for a about an hour and a half then danced our funkin asses off till early morning I dont remeber the walk apart from the massive hill that took for ever to get up. Thanks to chiz and the rest of his crew for givin us a place to crash we'll visit again soon im sure!!

The Hub - Plymouth

We got to plym a day before the gig so we could visit some of the people who have strayed away from the shire, on the drive down I was sayin I bet tonight is gonna be really nice, naaaaa we all went out to a reggae club and got flat out hammered (which was nice actually), but bear went walk about and got lost. he thought he was in london cos he wandered past a wheel thing and thought it was the london eye. dunk went out and tried to find him but couldnt

he somehow found his way back to Bobbie and Lens at about 8am , a load of us stayed at moons so didnt know he was home, I was pretty confident he was lost forever!

after a couple of hours of recovery we headed down to the hub for sound check, we like it there, its got a well cozy back stage room that had a big fridge full of beer so we set up camp there for a bit then found the rest of our crew.
the way it works here they film you and give it to you on a dvd so that'll probly be kickin around the space soon went they send it.

In the morning we wandered to find the sea, and found a wicked cafe on a cliff which looked out onto the sea, where I saw my first submarine ever.

We then hopped in the car and embarked on a journey that should have taken 4 hrs but actually took 9 cos I drive slow but to be fair had 1hr sleep and had thrashed the fuck out of my body. and we took a detour via cirencester on the way home.

All in all and amazing trip, it'll take me a bit to recover but im well ready for another NOW!! not playing gigs is shit!
