Hello Blog-o-philes, I really don't think of you as that, I just heard it somewhere and thought it was a strange mismash of word parts. Which, in turn, made me use it. So, no offense. Anyhow, this blog is about the release of my new single, "007." The release should be available in the next couple of weeks. It will include the original track, and 3 ultra dope remixes by my good friend undocument. Make sure you check them out and love them. Also, put this on your list of things to do: Go to undocument's myspace page because he has something for you. Such as, another one of the 007 remixes and 4 of his own amazing tracks. I know that is kind of a lot to fit onto a "things to do" list, but it will totally be worth it if you can squeeze it on, and make it a twice-daily routine. Any Salt Lakers who are getting bored of their Saturday night routine should roll on down to Kilby Court. January 26th will be JSJ's first 2008 performance. It will include Code Hero, Forest World, and Robotronica. Speaking of Kilby Court, I would like to congratulate Will Sartain and Lance Saunders for having recently aquired the famed venue. I very much look forward to serving these gentlemen in rocking and no so much rolling as dancing. So anyway, check back often, the release news should be up soon, and a lot of stuff is in the works for the next few months. Take Care, James JSJ

Hey kids. Just wanted to put up a message here, guiding you to some of my downloadable tracks. There are a bunch out there, even some I don't know about, you just have to look for those ones. The ones I have made available are at the following addresses: http://www.purevolume.com/jessicasomethingjewish http://www.last.fm/music/Jessica+Something+Jewish I am pretty sure there are some different tracks between boths sites. I hope it works for you and you enjoy the music. All of the Jessica Something Jewish songs to date, should be available wherever music is sold very soon. Including iTunes, Amazon, Emusic, and even by request at your local record store. The full-length "Seattle Calls" can be purchased through paypal now, by clicking the "Buy Now" link on the front page of this profile. I have a ton of new music coming soon. It's a lot different than the old stuff. I have been listening to a ton of Euro Dj's lately and I think its crossing over into my personal writing. So hopefully you still love me when you hear it. Thanks for keeping up with me. I appreciate the support. James Jessica Something Jewish

Hey there everybody. Things are still going well here. The shows seems to be getting a little bigger as we move on. I wouldn't necessarily say they are better, but definitely bigger. Hahahah.
Anyhow. I have been having a lot of trouble getting my album out here. They were supposed to be guaranteed by Tuesday the 23rd in Newcastle, and they didn't arrive. Its now the 25th, and I am in Melbourne, and as far as I have been informed, the cds still haven't even made it to Newcastle. So I don't know what I am going to do about that. I suppose I may just have them advanced to New Zealand, and if that doesn't work, I will probably just send them to the local stores throughout Australia. Kind of lame not to have them at the shows though, I could really use the money.
Oh well, whatever. Everything else is going really well. We played a couple of Newcastle shows, they were really fun. Then we went to Sydney and received a mixed response, but it was still a good time. Our Sound and Fury intore was really fun. I want to thank Adam for putting it on and Le Paper Dolls, and Naked On The Vague for playing with us. Hopefully there will be some recordings from the show popping up in the not so distant future.
We played our first Melbourne show last night at Bar Open. It was a really good time, thanks to Talkshow Boy and Could've Move Mountains for playing with us.
Tonight we are playing at Gertrude's, so if you are in Melbourne, you should come, it will be great.
I think that is all for now. I should have more stories, and probably make this a little easier to follow, but I am sick and pretty out of it. I will clear it up and put some funny stories in later.
Stay Safe, James Jessica Something Jewish

Hello everyone. This is my first update on whats going down with the tour. This is day three since I arrived on Friday morning. I am currently in Brisbane, and will be heading to Tamworth tomorrow and Newcastle shortly after.
The shows are going great. We have played two establishment shows that were really fun. One was at a pool hall and it was a pretty good time, I was really exhausted from the flight though, so I felt a little worn out. The next day we played at a little bar/cafe in the late afternoon, it was really chill and the sets were pretty calm and quiet. Last night was the best though. We played a house show that was just amazing. There were so many good bands and even more good people. I had so much fun and am sad that its over.
Everyone here is treating me very well, aside from a couple anti-Americans I have met. They are relatively harmless though.
Well, I will try to keep updating. I miss a lot of people, but I am having a great time. The West Coast (US) dates are currently being booked for Alps and I, so keep your eyes peeled for dates in your area.
Much love,
James

So earlier this evening I posted the complete version of Dance With Me. I had been working on it for a couple days, and I felt that it was where I wanted it to be. I am in the process of completing the other 10 songs on the album. I will probably put them all up on the internet, available for listening as they are finished. They will all need to be sent for mastering still, but at least everyone can hear what will be on the album.
This album (Seattle Calls) has taken forever for me to finish. I had one setback after another and now I am happy to say that things are finally in motion. Also, any future recordings (some already planned) will be out for print without extreme delays like before. I have recently purchased and aquired a bunch of new equipment to complete a home studio of sorts. I am really excited to be learning more about this side of music, and hope that I can start completing recordings on a regular basis.
Thank you so much for all of your patience. I have been blessed with some of the most amazing support, and really cannot possibly explain how much it means to me. I have been asked about this album for a really long time. The release always seemed to be constantly moving backwards. Now I can finally take things into my own hands, and get things done.
Thanks again, everyone. You have been an outstanding force of inspiration.
James

This was an amazing show. I had such a good time and so many great people came out. We danced and we laughed and we had a great time.
I also met a lot of great people. I think that is what has become my favorite part about the shows. I get to meet so many cool people, and they are so appreciative of the music. I really love shows like that though. Its the middle of the week and everybody still comes out to have a good time.
I played with Drew Danburry, Seve vs. Evan, Sonny Votolato, and The Robot Ate Me. Everyone played so well and it sounded great. I think Drew is easily one of my favorite artists. His music is so fun and pure, its just a refreshing thing to hear. Seve and Evan are hilarious and they have so much energy, our music goes great together for a show. About 2 years ago I played to shows, about 4 months apart with Rocky Votolato. This time, I played with his brother Sonny. He was a really great guy and his music was amazing.
I really had fun, and we even started filming for the first JSJ music video. The footage looks great and hopefully we can have something done soon. It probably going to have a really new song with it. One of the new ones that aren't even finished actually. I think it will be great though.
Thanks for everyone who came, and thanks to everyone who read this long-ass blog.
Love,
James

Well.......a little over a year ago I was talking with a friend about the first time we ever heard indie rock/ underground music or whatever. he was telling me about how he was in high school and they had this talent show. he remember sitting there waiting for the next act and this girl was walking up to the stage. he remember seeing her in tight jeans, some punk rock hoodie and her hair was hanging in her face. apparently, this girl got up on stage and played some of the most beautiful before-its-time acoustic indie rock that blew him away. afterwards he met her and her name was jessica. throughout the years he had forgotten the whole thing. so we kept talking for a while and he was starting to get bugged because he couldn't remember her last name. however, we continued our conversation. then finally he stood up like he was going to say something, it was right on the tip of his tongue and then he said, "damnit, i can't remember, i know it was jessica something jewish." my mouth dropped open and i said, "that is the coolest thing i have ever heard, that is going to be the name of my band." and that was pretty much it.
