Well I have been auf'd on Project Runway - I was very upset about the situation because I know my outfit was not the worst outfit that was presented. Since I have never been at the bottom - I was always either a top 3 contestant or safe, I feel the judges should have taken that into consideration when judging.
Pairing with Keith was a challenge and how PR edited for television was not how it really played out - I am not a difficult person to work with. Keith would leave for long periods of time and I had to continue to design and sew - I was not going to let one person decide my fate at PR, so I continued on.
You need to get on project runway and go to the American Express after the show segment with myself and Blayne - it is hilarious - I had a fun time taping it.
I feel I was a strong contestant and should be showing at Bryant Park but I do wish the finalists luck!
Also check out I will be launching my new website www.terristevens.net, I am developing a new line of clothes that is available soon and will host a fashion show soon - Please send your email address to be added to the mailing list to info@dwilliamspr.com
Thanks!
Terri

Meeting Diane Von Furstenberg was a great highlight to being on Project Runway - she is a legend and I have always admired her work. I knew that this is going to be challenging because Diane is a designer and would be very hard on design and execution and especially working with HER fabric.
I thought my coat's detail was great - I dont know why I am getting such a bad reaction from the designers - have not done anything to them - maybe its because I sew very quickly - I dont know - but I do know that I help most of them prepare their outfits, on numerous occasion, I let them use any of my things if they needed.
This whole thing about these pants - I know a skirt is a front and back and a waistband, pants is 2 fronts, 2 backs a placket a insert , waistand, zipper a belt loop. I am sorry that a skirt that takes 20minutes - is not quite like a pant that takes longer - (but I am just saying)
The other designers reaction is so high school - but I will continue to stay true to myself and my designs.
Love you guys much!
Terri

This challenge about making an outfit out of interior car parts from Saturn. I made the comment " I don't have a blow torch" but I enjoyed the challenge. I thought as long as a got some material I can manipulate I could make it happen. Stella is not the only one that can make something out of letha.
They edited the episode this week made it look like I was making fun of Korto's outfit, but in fact we were all laughing at it in its initial stage - even Korto. Korto and I are really good friends and we still keep in touch.
I felt I should have been in the top three because of how I created the outfit. I top stitched every piece of the fabric with red thread. The pants were car seats that I had put together to make that motorcross pants. That takes a lot of detailed work and know how. That means "Terri ain't no punk"
I loved my model she has a way of making my outifts look amazing!
By the Way Happy Birthday to Michael Jackson - Love ya!

I loved this challenged because it caused me to be creative and think way outside the box. Me and Tim Gunn had a HUGE disagreement on my design. I am surprised they did not show it on tv. He did not like the design or the fabric or color. But I told him I thought he was totally wrong.
I wanted to create a samari who is fighting bad fashion. Samari on acid! My drag queen was very good and worked the runway. As you saw on the episode I was very upset I did not win this challenge.
RuPaul's outfit was so HOT ! He was great. Keep sending me your comments - I will continue to answer everyone

This challenge was not difficult but I do not like team challenges because you will be held accountable for what happens.
Suede had some difficulty with blouse and he said he could do it and I let him do it. And he could not figure out his own pattern - so I end up sewing the pattern and re-do.
Like I said on the show "I do not have any babies and I dont need noone sucking on my ti***s.

for this challenge - I created a look that was totally Americana - if you saw it you knew - that is why I liked the fabric because it looked like the wave of the flag. You can wear to opening ceremony and then to the "Puffy" afterparty.
If you take the fabric and put it on the cutting table and my bag was over it - that means that is for someone to be used and then Keith came and took my fabric. "A sistah got to keep one eye open"

This challenge was capturing New York's nightlight - My dress for this episode was all about capturing a confident New York City girl out on the town. New York to me, is all about hip-hop, graffiti, fashion & street. This girl has an effortless beauty.
I felt I created something different from the rest of the designers. I challenged myself by using color - because I usually love all black.

For this challenge - My model brought me several pieces of fabric and I choose the one with the best color. I really tried to capture her essence - we are very similiar -she's sorta of a tom boy - loves Michael Jackson - she loved a funky but elegant style that showed her shape.
Thanks for all your support - keep coming back to my blog to see new posts. Send me a comment.
