On a scale from 1-10 Wachovia is about a 9 as far as being a pretty creepy bank. Well…at least the one I am forced to go to on a daily, some times twice daily, basis. First of all do they not know it’s impolite to stare at someone whilst they fill out their bank deposit slip?
First thing that happens when you walk in to thank bank is you are greeted simultaneously by at least 3 tellers, “Welcome to Wachovia,” they say filling the room with enthusiasm that isn’t appreciated in anyway. What do they want me to do….? No, seriously…What am I supposed to do? “HEY THANKS FOR HAVING ME GUYS!”? Then I go up to a teller who WITHOUT FAIL will ask me, “So how’s your day going so far?” when I say, “Fine” they wait about 20 seconds and then say, “So how’s your day going so far” WAIT, WHAT? Do they think my day went from Fine to Outstanding in 20 seconds? I don’t even know what to say…typically I’m holding in my laughter and just say,” Fine.”

Today when I went in there the teller did not ask how my dad was going so far…but the teller next to him looked over and said, “So how’s your day going so far?” Hummm, do you think they are advised to say it exactly like that? I bet so.

I really just wish Wachovia could be a bank who didn’t give a fuck and just put up Plexiglas separating me from them like I was a potential criminal but no they have to set up their place like it’s a god damn hotel with a concierge.

Oh I didn’t mention that they try to kiss my ass because they think I’m way more awesome than I truly am. I have the same last name as the checks I am depositing so they think I have like millions of dollars but I don’t. I don’t own those accounts, I don’t have the authority to withdrawal any money but they THINK I do. I can’t wait until I change my last name…but by then it may be too late.
