Okay so, i was hit up by chrisette michele [who is also following me] again today on twitter and she was saying that the 'epiphany' remix with Rick Ross and Juelz Santana is actually legit. At chrissy's request they were able to do it in a days notice. J

Moreover, as told on twitter, Brandy was in the studio with The Dream last night and recorded two songs, Karina is working and her second album, and Asher Roth’s entire album as leaked -jk, theres a hilarious vid on that link tho LOL.

Um, what else….oh check out youtube for new cm vids - its crazy cuz i love Phish Food too, although Imagine Whirled Peace is my Ben & Jerry's favorite. J

Okay, i suppose thats all for now. :) twitter.com/sketchbug. follow me.

Current mood:so merry

So this morning after a short Geology exam, productive course schedule planning, and an hour at the golfing range, I got a heads up from a twit friend named Chrisette Michele. She was saying that she’d just done a short interview with Power99FM and had a really fun conversation with Shamara and that It’d be on air around 1:30. So, I do some reading - Thoreau’s ‘Resistance to Civil Government’ - and then I checked out the station live.

Guess what, those next three minutes were only too sensational! First, Chrissy cut a verse in spoken word. SPOKEN WORD! AND IT WAS GENIOUS! THEN, she announced that not only would ‘Epiphany’ be in stores May 5th but that her album would be a DELUXE EDITION, CD AND DVD and its pink and white! SHEESH! I was so happy I was doing cartwheels and pop-lockin’! LOL. Tonight she’s doing a show with Ginuwine.

Just thought I’d share this news with you friends.

J
Peace.

I'm a careful listener. I wonder what song this is . . . .

..

Can you hear it? . . . . at the end of the clip?  I'd look at the 'Epiphany' tracklisting and pick one as a guess but . . . . . . it just makes me more excited to hear the album.  I mean, that WAS Chrisette Michele singing wasn't it?  ;)

Just a reminder; if you haven't already, please sign The Whaleman Foundation's Petition via Hayden Panettiere's Social Vibe Widget to put a stop to commercial whaling.  Here's what Hayden has to say . . . .

..

Hayden will personally deliver the petition to the The International Whaling Commission in June 2009.  Let's Help Save the Whales!

On a more tasty note, does anybody have any recipes for some simple yummy desserts?  Lately I've been into doing some experimental baking, making sweet treats I've never made before.  Oh yeah, and I'm also interested in some new easy lunch ideas.  I've found sloppy joe to be relatively inexpensive and quite scrumptous.  Anybody have any fly lunch meals?

Allrighty then.  I've got some homework to do and exams to study for.  Pray for me please.  Today was a beautiful day I have to say.  I took three extensive walks; during one of which I was engaged in a heavy phone discussion with my mom about post-high school and the obstacles thereof.  oh mom.

So I'm looking forward to Tuesday.  Excited about going to the store in anticipation of a certain CD, as mentioned above, and perhaps interested to see - in the event that its not there - my reaction and the reaction of fellow fans.  Yep, Tuesday's going to be interesting indeed.

Bow Wow's new album will be in stores Tuesday if you wanted to know.  I won't be buying it.  . . . . I thought I would but, listening to the album yesterday, I wasn't particularly impressed.  I guess I was hoping for at least one or two profound songs.  I was let down.  So, no I won't be getting 'New Jack City Pt. II'.  But I will say that I commend Shad Moss on his accomplishments so far - seven records is amazing - and his dedication to the rap game.  He really is a hardworker.

Ok that's all.   I'll holler. :)

I feel a whoo comin on! . . . I got the feelin Raheem DeVaughn and Chrisette Michele are gonna collaborate some time in the near future . . . . .

..

Wasn't that amazing! Chrisette and Raheem really should do a song together shouldn't they? And the Roots were just nothing short of awesome as always. Jam.

'Epiphany' will be in stores 5.5 by the way.

Oh yeah, our new hero Claude Kelly posted a more-than-useful blog a while back called "SONGWRITING 101: Lesson #13" and its a good read.  I recognized some fundamentals I'm already practicing.  I also learned some new things.  When you get a moment, stop by his page and have a read.

Is anyone else still being bullied by allergies?  Even though I'm on medications I still feel less than chipper everyday. But I'll be ok.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Brandy will be featured on Ginuwine's new album in stores this June!  Snippets of their duet 'Love' can be heard on youtube in one of his lastest vids.  This is soo great!  I can't wait to hear the final mixed version.  I'm especially glad that Bran Bran is doing so many collaborations.  Now that she's with Roc Nation and being managed by Jay Z she'll get efficient promotion and genuine support from people who actually want her to succeed.  Brandy's video with John Legend for their duet 'Quickly' is in the works and will be filmed as soon as she returns from the UK.

:)

Shout out to Beatrice, Diego, and everyone following me . . . tweet tweet!

Current mood:  awake

It's springtime! And my allergies are giving me a go :( no matter, today was the first day of my lifestyle change/weight loss/wellness effort. My immediate mission is to cut out fast food, increase water intake, and engage in more physical activity. So hopefully, as I follow through with this effort I'll get in shape, get better sleep, and have a bit of healthy fun. :)
... so that's that.

If you've been watching American Idol you're familiar with contestants Lil Rounds and Megan Joy Corkrey. Well, those two ladies are who I'm rooting for! Lil d-livers everytime and Megan was my favorite audition. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aIB119m3bs]
... gotta love it.

Chrisette Michele's new video for 'Epiphany' is out now! it's so awesome. I love the rooftop scene - Chrisette is so pretty - and the part where, and it happens in the blink of an eye, where her and dude are laughing and Chrisette is holding the most gorgeous guitar. I love that part! I play acoustic myself and I fell over at how lavishly lovely that guitar was. And you know what else, I think this was Chrisette's best video to date. I mean, I just seems like with this new album hype, fly attire, and her new haircut, Chrisette seems so much more confident these days; in her songtress and just, her image in general. To witness it is so wonderful. It's like, even though she's about to share some privy experiences and perhaps shed light on some not-so-glamorous things with the release this next album she still manages to confidently shine like a jewel; knowing that she's growing as an individual. It's in her smile. And that's refreshing.
... [*sigh*]

Speaking of pleasant things, I must confess that after Chrisette Michele made it known that she had a twitter I started one just so I wouldn't miss a beat. [*smh*] As it turns out, Chrisette like never twits but I have just been happily twittering away like madd! It's great! I get a kick out of the goings-on of my fellow twitties. Such a riot! I love it! Join in!

World,
I bought the first best album of 2009 yesterday - "Troubadour" by K'NAAN!

This album is an absolute smash! i mean, every song is just ill and potent. the beats are ridiculous and K'NAAN has a message in his songs. man, it's crazy all the stuff that's going on outside of these United States . . .

So kudos K'NAAN for sharing your Africa with me. :)

and for anyone who hasn't gotten this album, don't wait. go get it.

[i guess if i did have favorites for this record, which is tough, i'd say: 'T.I.A.', 'Dreamer', 'Somalia', 'America', 'Fatima', '15 Minutes Away'.]

Stay True World,
Brise :)
