I'm a bit partial Chewy..I was a police officer for 12 yrs in Baton Rouge and now I serve as an International Police officer/Mentor for the DOS...so. But I am well aware of officers abusing their authority...thats and unfortunate evil with this type of business. I can tell you that they are the minority in the profession.

Police are nessasry to help serve and protect the people of their local communities.They should not be violating rights of citizens or operating like the military.They should not cut deals or takes bribes from anyone including the federal government.If the police are caught committing crimes they should be tried and sentenced just like everyone else.

I love men in uniform. Although female cops scare me. Never trust a woman with a gun. We're too moody.

While there are some good cops. I think most are duche bags on ego trips. It takes a certain type of person to want a job like that.

I think the police is good. But I think there are few that abuse that power and use to their advantage when they should use it to the greater good (lol, I'm starting to sound like something outta a superman comic!).

What do i think of the police, chewbacca, i used to work for the police for 7 years in chelteham, gloucestershire, and richmond, in surey, so i have the utmost respect for the guys, they do a great job, well i was only doing admin but l loved my job, 8 hrs neve flew so fast.

I like the police. I thank God for them. They are human and make mistakes, but I'm glad to see them when I need them. It does make me nervous when they are riding closely behind me, though. I'm scared I'll make some tiny driving mistake.

Actually Chewy, I had a very positive experience with a police officer last week......
we went to the police station to obtain a permit to launch our boat, and he wrote out the permit, and I was handing him my money, and he said, "Have a safe day out there on the water", and he did not take my money! How cool was that?????

They are all the nerds in school who were beat up and picked on and went home crying to mommy every day and now they are grown up and think they are all some type of Gods, so basically I havent ever met one that i liked:)

the individual officers i have the utmost repsect for there are a few twats but the majority are genuinly in it to make the world a better and safer place for us

The whole "nickname" thing that he does....that would annoy me. I think it's somewhat disrespectful to make up names for people that you encounter day to day. For that matter, I think that he still retains alot of that "fratboy" way of dealing with people. I'd probably get along with him, fine...but the fact that he would probably refuse to address me by my name, and instead, call me something like "stretch" or "slim" would be annoying. I would likely just grin and brush it off, though...

George Bush isn't the problem. Any other leader of America would be doing the same things. Kerry would have stayed in Iraq and would have given Israel the green light to carry out the actions that we have been witnessing in the last few days.
