Bands interested in airplay on Tundra Trash Radio may submit their material to:

Tundra Trash Radio
Attn: Beth
P.O. Box 657
Soldotna, AK 99669

Please also note:
CD-R's are fine.  Just make sure your music is tagged correctly, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, then please include a list of the songs and in which order they are in, including CD title, if applicable.  Also,  please include an e-mail address or some method of contact  just in case I have any questions.

If your bands rocks and it fits my format, I will be happy to play your music!!

Tundra Trash Radio garners over 10,000 total listening hours a month, and is also featured on iTunes so it's good exposure!!

I would also like to hear from bands willing to do station promotional  liners~
(Which will run in rotation 24/7 on the station, thereby giving addtional exposure)

Thanks,
Beth

In talking with some band members I realize that many of you do not understand that Internet Broadcasters (webcasters) have to, by law, pay royalties to play your music.   Labeled or not.

On December 24, 2002, the Copyright Office published in the Federal Register an agreement negotiated between Sound Exchange and Voice of Webcasters, which sets rates and terms for the reproduction and performance of sound recordings by webcasters.

It was decided that Internet radio does NOT have the same promotional value to the copyright holders that terrestrial broadcast radio has and should not be treated in the same manner.  The RIAA argued that Internet radio involves consumers receiving a "perfect digital copy" of the music that negatively impacts record sales.

So therefore, we have to pay to play~

Tundra Trash Radio offers listeners exposure to cool music they might otherwise never hear. I know CDs have been bought by listeners who have said "I never would've heard that band if it wasn't for your radio station!". Yeah, and we're taking money out of the RIAA's hands how?!?

But that's neither here nor there.

What is done is done and it has been for some time now.
When this ruling passed, webcasters had to go back and pay royalties for the previous 3 years of broadcasting.
And:  I've been doing this over 5 years now~
 Webcasting Determination

My point, you ask??

Well, you need to collect the money that I or any other webcasters pays to play your music!!!   We pay it to Soundexchange and on a per performance/per listener basis.  (This is where we have to, by law, pay for independent music).   If labeled, we pay ASCAP and BMI fees as well, but I'm talking independent artists here~
Which is 99.9 percent of what I play.

If you are not signed up at Soundexchange..you will NOT be able to collect the money due to you!!  Or the money I am paying to play your music!!

I encourage all bands to be signed up there!!
You may have money coming that you had no idea was there for you!   Last year, Soundexchange claimed they couldn't find many of the bands, agents, or whatever and that money went unclaimed and into the RIAA's pocket.
(Not sure why they couldn't find the bands~nobody asked me about mine, and I sure as hell could have told them where to find the bands I play!!)

I just want bands to get what's due them~
So, please sign up, and collect your money!!!
Soundexchange

Thanks,
Beth

I am looking for bands willing to do some station promo liners for me.
If you can do some, could you contact me??

They would be in rotation 24/7 on the station and would help promote your band, as well as make me very happy!!
Thanks in advance!!

Thanks,
Beth

What I need is something stating who the band is, where from..and say something about the station....whatever. Generally the band will say this is "whomever" from "wherever" and you're listening to Tundra Trash Radio the last frontier of rock, or whatever, creative is good!! I'm easy! Should be 20 seconds or less, and can be a plain voice over as we have an excellent sound guy, Zach...who can dress it up and make it ultra cool. Must be in high quality MP3 format..at least 128k. E-mail it (or them) to me at beth@tundratrashradio.com

Fair Warning!

Anybody else that thinks they can make smart ass sexual comments to me will be immediately taken off my list and blocked.
I've had it!!
I am not one of the scantily clad internet hookers so prevalent here, so please, don't talk to me like I am one!
Big turn off~

I'm here to network music..
Thank you~
Beth

And I also find it kind of funny that this sort of thing doesn't come from any of the bands.

Go figure~
They all rock!!!
How sweet is that?
