hey friends long-time-no-blog this is just an update for anyone still out there in myspace land, to let you know we're hitting the road tomomorrow morning for our biggest trip yet. We're going coast to coast, from St. John's to Victoria and back. as usual, we ask that if you or anyone you know is in or anywhere near any of the cities we're playing in, and might be even remotely interested in seeing a good rock show, please come out, and bring all your friends.
as I'm sure you all know, the new remixed and re-mastered Plan Your Escape EP is available nation-wide now, so it's definitely at your friendly neighbourhood record store. they make great gifts
finally, we have a whole new batch of awesome t-shirts which we'll be towing with us on tour. We still have tons of the old design (with the birds), but we'll also be bringing the new ones. If perchance you don't happen to get out to the show in your town, and you would still like one, you can check out our MapleMusic page at http://www.maplemusic.com/artists/rst/default.asp and order one directly from there
thanks a bunch. see you all on the road love josh, HR

wow, a lot is goin on over here with us.
we are busy planning a tour in June which will take us out around Toronto during the week NxNE. Though not all the dates are confirmed yet, we will be likely stopping in Sydney, Halifax, Fredericton, Charlottetown, Quebec City, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and probably some surrounding areas sometime between June 1st and 17th. I'll post the dates here as soon as they are all confirmed.
to kick off said tour, we're playing a big weekend at the Majestic on May 25th and 26th. Friday night will be a bar show, with an all ages show starting a little earlier on Saturday. Both shows feature Trailer Camp.
You guys have probably read on the website about Derek leaving the band. There are no hard feelings here at all, and we totally wish him the best of luck. Phil Maloney will now be bringing the thunder.
We are also starting to figure out details about a new album. Tracking will likely commence over the summer months, and we hope to have it out in time to accompany your crackling yule logs.
that's about all I can divulge for now. Stay tuned for more info about tours, shows and recording as soon as the info becomes solidified. Cheers for now. see you on the road
josh, HR!
ohh, ps. I believe our Vinyl Cafe episode airs this Saturday, the 12th

In the meantime, we will be playing tomorrow nite and Wednesday at the Arts and Culture Centre as part of the Stuart Mclean Vinyl Cafe show...very exciting. Ron Hynes is also on the bill...also very exciting.
ok, that's it for now. I'll start filling in tour dates and the like when they come through

BIG NEWS
I'm sure many of you have heard by now that we're recording a live DVD this month at our show on the 23rd at Club One. We are going all out on this, and you can all be a part of HR! history. Tix are on sale now at the Sundance and Big Bens (in the square). The show is scheduled for the 23rd, but if it sells out, we'll also open up the 22nd. So get'em now, and join us in our most exciting show to date. We have hired a little orchestra to accompany us, and we have a few more surprises, not to mention the best sound and lights in the city.
In other news, we're also hitting up Corner Brook twice this month. Sat. the 24th, we'll be playing with Starred Opposite and Brian Byrne Band at the Marble Jam '07, and the following week we're playing at the Backlot with the Novaks on the 30th. Come check it out West Coast.
One more thing. We're also going to be playing a benefit show at Holy Heart on April 1st. This will feature a bunch of the bands of faculty members from Rock City (where Tim and I teach). Check out the shows section for more info as it becomes available.
I guess that's about it for now. Take care, see you all soon

wow things have been pretty busy around here since we got back from the ECMA weekend, so it's just now that I'm able to post. There's a lot to talk about. First off, thanks to everyone who came out to support us in Hali. We had some killer showcases, a magical evening in the church, and played to probably our biggest crowd yet in the pre-taped portion of the awards gala. MusicNL hosted a kickass party at Ginger's tavern which had people lining up down the street both nights, and showed that Newfoundland has no shortage of talent (congrats Ron and Duane for the wins). This weekend we made an appearance on the awesome college radio vegan cooking show Let's Get Baked. We made homestyle, delicious, vegan-friendly Jam-Jams and you can check out the whole episode on their site. We will also be hosting it on our own websiteso that we can keep it around forever. note: it will be up soon, but for now just check out their site. There is also some video footage floating around the web of our Mainstage Showcase from the WTCC in Halifax. Here is a link to the UPEI web site who shot and edited the whole thing. I'm not sure how long this will be up and about, but the videos seem to be hosted by google video, so hopefully they'll be up forever. One more thing. There will be a big big show happening at Club1 on March 23rd. Details are still in the air, but we promise that it will be a show unlike any other you've seen. More details to follow thanks friends see you soon josh, HR!

**during last nite's taping we were made aware that the actual airing of the show will be thursday evening (Feb. 8th). Tune in for a special 90 minute jam-packed episode of amazing local talent (with a live studio audience!!)**
hello friends
first of all, big thanks to everyone who came out to the Breezeway the other night. I believe a great time was held by all, especially us. Special thanks to our friends King Nancy (www.kingnancy.com) for their hot opening set, despite the wailing winter winds outside.
now, there will be a special ECMA edition of Out of the Fog appearing on Rogers (I guess it will be tonight, but I'm not really sure... we tape it tonight anyway) so keep your eyes open. It will feature many of our own hometown crowd who are representing at the big award show on Sunday Feb 18th. Check out www.ecma.ca for more deets.
the only other thing to mention is a benefit show for Engineers Without Borders that happens on Feb 24th at the Majestic with So Says Jane, Josh Case, The Human Soundtrack, & The Mountains and The Trees. It's for a good cause and promises to be a great rock show.
that's it for now see you soon josh, HR!
