Songwriter CJeice: Exclusive Songwriting

Songwriting isnt really as easy as you think it is. There are structures to songwriting. People everyday can always say: "I can write a song" Sure, you can. But tell me. Did you write that song on the spot?

If your answer is yes, then most likely, your song, sorry to say; is incomplete. As well as missing MANY details that a song consists of. Im here to change all that. Here are the steps to go through the songwriting process.

  1. Choose the Genre of the song and type of song you want me to write for you. (ex: Hip/hop, R&b, Club, Rap, Pop, Etc.)

  2. Show me the instrumental or the beat that you want the song to be written on. IMPORTANT: If you buy the beat from me, and you want me to both make the beat and songwrite your song, there are deals for that. Dont forget to ask about those!

  3. What do you want the song to "say", mean, or the purpose of it. (ex: storytelling, heartbreaking, influential, moodsetting, etc.)

  4. Ill provide the "swagger" of the song. Also known as the delivery.

  5. If your a singer: Tell me what is your range, and which notes are best for you. IMPORTANT: If your a singer and you want me to make the beat and songwrite the song for you, dont forget to mention the deal for that so i can put the song in YOUR key and your singing range.

  6. If your a rapper: If your a rapper, but you want me to write the song for you or provide the hook or chorus, let me know what type of swagger fits into your rapping style. To tell you the truth, sometimes rappers dont write their own materieal

  7. If there are facts that you want in the song or suggestions, feel free to let me know. It is YOUR song by the way.

  8. The structure of the song always depends on the beat. The beat determines what kind of lyrical structure your song will have.

  9. Songwriting charge is $50-$200. If you want me to custom make the beat and songwrite it for you. That combination will be an extra $100 or less including the cost of the beat and as well as a free CJeice feature.

Producer CJeice: Beat Making/Selling

Exclusive and Non-Exclusive

How this process works is we go through a few steps professionally working everything out, then we go to the actual beat making/selling process.

Step One: Layout.

Exclusive: Personal Beat Making Layout

    1.Genre: (Ex: Hiphop/R&b/Club)

    2. Intention: (How you want the song to "feel" or the "mood")

    3. Tempo (Ex: recommended and usual tempo of most songs are 120)

    4. Key: (The main key you want the song to be in.)

    5. Set up and strucrutre. (Depending on the song, the structure for it is always different.)

Intro, Verses, Chrous, Hooks, Pre hooks, Post hooks, Bridge, Outros.

    6. Bars: (How many bars you want in the song and in each individual set. Ex: 8 bar verse, 16 bar verse. Etc.)

    7. Copyrights, licencing, and royalties: (See "Non-Exclusive: Beat Selling Layout; 3)

          8. Making a Personal Beat depends on the Artist's Budget. Personal Beats may cost up to $500+. There are deals with songwriting and beatmaking for artists as well.

Non-Exclusive: Beat Selling Layout

    1. Depending on the Persons budget, the beat can range from $100-$400.

    2. Once you've chosen a beat and want to buy it, Message me on myspace concerning the beat, and we'll ill talk about the rights and agreements for the beat.

    3. For copyrights, licencing and royalties, I MUST be notified.

Ex: If the beat you have bought from me goes on the radio, tv, etc. You must contact me and let me know.

Beat Structure: (Exclusive Only)

The beat structure includes: Intro, Verses, Chrous, Hooks, Pre hooks, Post hooks, Bridge, Outros.

All which may differ depending on the genre of the beat and how you want it personally structured and set up.

Intro: (4 or 8 bars)

Verses: (8, 12, or 16 bars)

Chorus (Which may include hooks, pre-hooks, and post hooks): (4, 8, 16 bars)

Bridge: (8, or 16 bars)

Outros: (4, 8, 16 bars)

Fill out the form you see above, and depending on the genre you choose (Hiphop/R&b/Club) the bars may differ to its appropriate requirements.
