To all of our Dolls, Deviants, members and prospective applicants - 

Firstly, everyone at DDD HQ would like to thank you for all of your work, support and love over the last year!

The ongoing success of the DDD is down to your dedication, for which we are eternally grateful! However, this level of success has left us under a mountain of media requests, bookings, sales and applications! We at HQ need to take some time to re organise the management and efficency of the DDD, and focus on getting our professional website up and running, so that you all can finally have the exposure and creative input for your portfolios that we have been working towards.

For the next 2 months, we will be minimising the output of our myspace and e-mail functions, whilst we work on putting together the ultimate alternative arts networking site.

We apologise that during this time, we will not be accepting any new applications.

We do still have some applications in back log, these will be processed during this period, so no need to worry if you've already applied but not yet heard from us!

What will we be doing at DDD HQ?

We will be creating and structuring eye catching portfolio pages for each and every member for the site.

We will be formalising our contacts and deals with affiliated photographers to provide regular photoshoots for our models.

We will be organising and running events for our performers.

Booking requests that come through the DDD will still be passed on to our models, but for the time being we shall not be actively seeking you work, until our re launch. 

We will be organising a large re launch campaign including media coverage.

We will be working to access funding for the DDD, to finance even further growth.

We will be preparing content for the DDD guide to modelling and alternative arts.

Thank you for your support and patience in this matter! Trust us, it'll be worth the wait!

"I am mainly looking for ordinary people to get involved in theses projects or models who have never modelled nude before. The aim is for people to push their boundaries, get that adrenaline rush and feel that sense of achievement when the shoot is finished. The final photos are almost secondary to the steps that the model taken to be nude in front of the camera and act more as a memento to the time when they did something they thought they may never actually do. Obviously I want to create art work that I am proud of too and, of course, I would never turn down and experienced nude model either! "

"I have no preference on size/shape/age (over 18's only tho please)/ethnicity/ or anything else for that matter really. The only criteria is that they are happy to push their personal boundaries, model nude and turn up with a smile on their face!"

"These three projects can all be inter-linked, for example - shooting the 'Home' project but maintaining anonymity by using a mask therefore ticking the box of the 'Mask' project too."

"And when the weather gets better I will be looking for models for outdoor shoots. I'd like to get down to the nudist beach at fairlight cove as the fallen rocks there will make for a great location and nudity is obviously accepted there so it may put the model at ease if it is there first time modelling nude outdoors. For any models who are a little more daring I'd like to shoot amongst fishing boats down on Hastings seafront."

"I'm also up for collaborations. If a model has an idea for a either a nude project or just a one off shoot I would love to hear from them."

Four Dolls needed for photo shoot!

Tuesday 31st March - Hastings, East Sussex

One of our in house photographers, Ivan Fellows is in need of 4 Dolls for a project of his.

He is doing a mock marketing campaign for his course, he intends to show that mainstream make up can be marketed to alternative women, (lets face it, we use more eye liner than anyone!) So he's looking for some beautiful local ladies to get dolled up, and have their pictures taken!

Casting is for 4 Dolls

Size 8-12
Age 18-25
Body mods are fine :)
He's preferrably looking for women who can realistically portray the following looks - Punk, Goth, Rocker, Metaller

This shoot will be TFP, and you'll need to be fine with the photographer using the pictures for his project. This is a great opportunity to get some beautiful pictures from a very skilled young photographer.

Drop Dead Doll Group Shoot -
"Another way of life"

Friday 27th March
Hastings, East Sussex

We're shooting an epic outdoor shoot on Friday 27th, and all Dolls and Deviants are welcome!

We've already messaged a few people individually, because we've got some definate images in mind, but we'll be out in force taking over Hastings seafront, and we've got enough love for everyone who wants it!

The theme is YOU! Come as yourself, in your preferred style and favourite clothes - bring the you that makes you feel most fabulous, and don't be shy about standing out!

We've already got a number of photographers coming along, and we'd like to make time for a range of group set ups, and individual pics for all the models! If you or a friend is an affiliated DDD photographer, or would like to be, please get in touch!

You'll need to be able to get to Hastings, East Sussex on Friday 27th for around 3pm / 3.30pm, The shoot will be approx. 2/3 hours, but those who want to hang around longer are welcome to join us in the pub for a few drinks, that would be fab!

Everyone will recieve digital copies of their pictures, and the best group pic will become a DDD poster, which you will recieve a copy of :)

We are sorry to announce that due to new council guide lines, Burlesque in now considered a 'fully nude, sexual adult activity.' Despite having had the art form explained to them in depth, they are maintaining their stand point. This unfortunately means that the Brass Monkey will no longer play host to BURLESK! as it does not possess the relevant licences.

Unfortunately with such short notice, we will be unable to secure another venue in time to host our April 12th show. Our apologies to you all.This has been a dissapointing blow for all concerned, but we are a determined bunch here at BURLESK! We're hunting around for a new venue, and aim to unveil a new and improved 'BURLESK' this summer, where we will unveil our 'Brief History of Burlesk!' show, and Domino's Dolls Burlesk lessons.

Our apologies and deepest love goes out to all of our performers, supports, staff and fans, who have all worked really hard to make our nights so fabulous, and will again soon.

We've got Burlesque on the brain this week, as we countdown to the DDD Burly Q Christmas event this Friday - but we're taking five from our hectic schedule to let you performers out there know that the London Burlesque Festival is still accepting applications for 2009! However, if you want to apply, you'll have to do it fast, as the closing date for applications is 31st December!

The festival runs from 1st - 5th of April.

And if you do plan to perform, we'll see you there, as we'll be relocating to London for the week to cheer you on!

Guilty Pleasures is a fetish party organisation, run by Master Ash ( for those not in the know, that's DDD manager Severine's other half! )

We're looking for an image of a Drop Dead Doll, to use in the promotional material, for the posters and flyers, and web posts for the event. Do you think you could be the face of Guilty Pleasures?

The theme is Rubber, so we're after a striking shiny image, and Valentines - so Reds, pinks, roses, champagne, wine, lovers, sensuality - all good :) But don't forget to keep it kinky!

Contributions can be from existing sets, or created for this purpose, as long as both model and photographer are happy for their work to be used, and printed on a large scale! A great addition to anyone's portfolio! :D

Closing date for entries is the 6th January. Anyone who would like to contribute, but needs access to a photographer, leave a message here and maybe we can find you one!
